Of course you realize you're paying more to buy the bottled stuff in the first place. I get around by that by taking my cans from RI (which doesn't have the deposit) to work with me and then it's a short drive over the border to Mass (which DOES have it) and dumping them into a machine in the supermarket. Win-win.

@ Bryan: I went to a salvage yard that allowed customers to remove parts from the cars yourself. there were 2, XR4Ti in the back of the lot. I removed the Merkur emblem on one of the models and have it on my deck in front of my encyclopedia volumes! The rest of the vehicles were parted long before I got there.

@simbalion.: Don't be fooled by morons like them. The Yugo is actually a great car and has a cult status today! I still have my Yugo for over 15 years and 99% of the car is original and works fine! Yugo was also voted one of the best cars in the U.K. and the new 500L from Fiat sold in the U.S. is manufactured by the same factory that made them in Serbia. So there is more to the story than from "The Three Stooges" on Top Gear and college dropouts that are in the media!

Sorry, didn't mean to insult you. Heck, I have a VW beetle and once it is on the road, I doubt it will pass much either. We had some Yugos around here when I was a kid, but they have all disappeared. I just never heard good reviews on them, even from former owners.

Strangely enough, there's one running around here that I see from time to time. They're actually not bad for what they are.

Back in the 80's, my brother was a bit interested in a Daihatsu Charmant (the Charade was far more common though). While he has owned a lot of cars, I believe he never got himself a Daihatsu after all.
