    As the title states...it has been confirmed that the Neo-Geo VC releases will be coming stateside. First titles to appear are expected to hit before the end of the year.

    As was said... modding the XBox 360 is used purely for pirating at the moment. I have no problem with the bans.

     

    My regular XBox has been modded for years and it is still able to access XBox Live. I accomplished this by creating a barrier between my mod and XBox Live (really the creators of the bios I use created the barrier.) I cannot access XBox Live with my mod active. It is blocked. The only way you will get banned is if your mod can be detected by MS and in that case they should ban away. Cheating would ruin Live. It ruined Halo 2 for a while.

     

    Unfortunately, Yes. But Modders will always find solutions to get around being detected by Microsoft, or any other establishment. Remember, no electronic device is totally secure. Plus modders usually have the upper hand advantage by using existing technology or being down right creative.

    Hi Guys:

     

    You probably heard of my collection of Video Game Systems on Atariage.com and lately, I have been successful on my Atari 2600 Game Consoles at $2-5 Bucks each. But I never had mention my many collection of Classic Game Consoles. One in particular, is my Unopened NEC American Turbo Duo Game System. I originally pick this system up from a Mom&Pop Video Game Store in my local area in the Bronx. I paid at the time $200 for it in 2004 and its been in my possession since. It stll has the NEC Label that was suppose to be sent back to NEC after you purchase the unit. But the Korean Gentleman still kept it attach to the box. Anyway, some are skeptical about the whole thing in general. However, please take my word on it though. I will have pictures soon after I dig for it in my closet. Thanks

    Wish I had that kind of luck down here. Afraid classic gaming paraphernalia is as dry as the heat these days, though.

    i'm the same way. I always say i'm not going to buy any more systems, but there's the times where either price is a "cannot pass" on deal or the seller won't part with items individually. I try not to buy dupe systems, especially just color variants, like the Gameboys, as I don't see the reason for needing to own every color, but sometimes it cannot be helped, which is why i have like 6 2600's, 3 7800's 2 brick gameboys, 3 gameboy colors and 2 gamegears. No matter how much you try to NOT buy dupe systems, sometimes it just can't be helped.

    Hi Guys:

     

    Boy, after the score I did with the 9 Atari's I was thinking of throwing in the towel on collecting Atari 2600 Systems. Well, lady luck was on my side once again. I was in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx today, trying to buy some jeans at a local Variety Discount Store, when I notice there was a small, little Flea Market out side in the street. To make a long story short, I notice in the bunch of vendors was a small Puerto Rican gentleman selling some video games. While I was digging though his lot, I notice on the corner of my right eye was 3 Atari 2600 Consoles that were stacked in the corner. I asked them if he wanted to sell the systems, and said he'll sell all three for $6 Bucks each. After we tested them (and they work) I give him $18 bux altogether and I was tap dancing all the way home. NOTE: These are 4-switch Woodies. Stay Tuned, I'll get some pics after I clean them up..

    Don't ya just love eBay sellers who have no clue what anything is.

    And he makes the assumption they won't work with his "newer model" TV. :roll: And he shows the switchbox and it has a coax adapter on it!

     

    In another auction today, I saw a game cartridge referred to as a "cassette." I've heard them called tapes before, but not cassettes.

     

    I've seen joysticks called paddles.

     

    What other nonsense have folks seen in auctions?

    I just watched a few videos of people whining and crying over some Atari 2600 games. Their complaints are how the game "sucks" cause it's too hard.

     

    Wait a minute...it's too hard? You mean, all you little supposed "hardcore gamers" are crying over games older than you cause they're too hard? You mean with all your supposed "skill" and supposed "knowledge" you CAN NOT beat these games?

     

    This is just great! This is the power of the Atari 2600! All these kids thinking that graphics just make a game are crying cause they can't beat a game older than them! Apparenly older games are supposed to = easy? WRONG!

     

    I'm actually happy I saw these videos now. Granted I could do without the cussing every other word...is that supposed to impress me? I hope someday I'm able to find some "hardcore gamer" who just thinks he/she is all big and bad...so then I'll hand them a controller and ask them to play E.T. I'm sure when they keep falling down cause they don't know how to play a one button game, they'll just complain that it sucks. So then I'll just grab the controller and easily beat the game in front of them within minutes.

     

    HA HA HA! Atari 2600, you still rule! And even after all these years, you still put the best of this new-gen to shame. They should respect their elder gaming systems!

     

    And yes, I'm very tired and I get goofy when tired. But I'm just happy to see all these kids taken to school by the Atari 2600!

    If lucks a factor, Then lots of 360 owners are unlucky.....Personally I don't believe in luck.

     

    If your console breaks down, crummy luck is last excuse I'd place the blame on.

     

    Yeah, but that's just a opinion. Me, I do believe in it, and it happen to be my unlucky night (that night). The good news is that there taking care of the problem.

    Yep, They extended it awhile ago, finally admitting that the 360 is the least realiable system of all time.

    Honestly you can keep it suspended 9 feet off the ground via tiny stainless steel wires so nothing is blocking any vents, in a wind tunnel cooled to 65 degrees and if it was build within the first year of release, it's going to break down eventually. :D

    I thought that the 360 (in my opinion) is still a very realiable console. Its just a matter of luck (I believe). This system lasted longer then other people expected by almost 2 years.

     

    Plus, speaking of luck. My original Xbox 360 warranty expired not to long ago. Thankfully, this was the only functional warranty left..

     

    However, there is no doubt that Microsoft always had a poor reputation with Xbox Customer Service. However, because of this error with these consoles, there Customer Support has change significantly improved.
