For puzzle games i'd recommend:
All 3 are pretty challenging (IMO) and have enough puzzles to keep you busy for quite a while.
Other great homebrews worth buying are:
Hunchy II (One of the best platformers on the 2600)

:D
Those are really the poorest cosplay pics i've ever seen! And that fat guy in the Sailor Moon costume - that's just blasphemy!!!

Life Force is one of the few NES games i liked. I didn't know that it has six stages, i never got past the 3rd stage...
Too bad C64 fans only got an incomplete version, Salamander has only 4 levels and no animated ending.
-
Ah, i still remember those good old Strip Poker games on the C64!
So stupid and yet so funny...
-
Holy Shit! I'm glad you're OK!

Your game doesn't use scrolling so you can gain 192 bytes if you don't include the "pf_scrolling.asm" module, make a backup of your "default.inc" file and delete "pf_scrolling.asm" in the file.
Have a look here.

I found who made the cart offer.
Seriously, what would you do to the game? I might go down this road. Depends on what I find when I get it all loaded up. If it builds, then I've a shot at some polish.
Is the MGC-Version the latest available? I'll play through some versions and let you know what comes to my mind.

That's funny! I also thought about making some kind of Pong with powerups with bB not too long ago.
Your ideas sound interesting, looking forward to see how it will turn out!
Btw., are you planning to finish Ooze! and release it on cart one day?
I want to actually. Somebody, maybe it was you offered to cart it up. Maybe that's the right way to go.
Trouble with Ooze! is it's a tangled mess of code and flags. Each time I think, let's polish it up, I look at it and just kind of stall. Back when it was finished for the compo, I could have tweaked it a few places and it would have been good to go. People were wanting AtariVox and extras added too. So I stalled, and now with bB more capable, it's almost a rewrite.
That game could use a paddle too though! I don't know what to do frankly. Maybe it can be released as "Batari Basic Classics: OOZE!", or something. Simple text label, batari version, source and development log as a package. Maybe a tweak or two to fix the levels better than they are on the last solid version.
If anything else, maybe I can get a vanity cart, or a few made for those that liked it as it is, with perhaps just some cleanup. ?!?!
Nope, i didn't offer to make carts as i neither have the knowledge nor the hardware to make carts.
I really like Ooze!, simple but fun to play game. IMO it would just need a few more tweaks before it could be released on cart. Maybe a few different power ups or adding the ball sprite as an "enemy" ??
I understand that rewriting it for bB 1.0 will be a lot of work but i think it would be worth it.
I also think a multicart with a few 4k bB games like Ooze! would be a nice idea.
Yeah i know, talk is cheap...

It's really a pity that the Chimera is cancelled, i was looking forward to it. So i also hope that batari's Harmony Cart will get finished one day.

Nice Stuff! I ain't no programmer but i had fun playing around with your program and i even managed to make a working .bin myself..
I hope you keep working on it!

...
I don't know which would be best. Anyway, here's the code:
Thanks!

I tried making some sounds recently but it just doesn't work... Could you post the code for your sound so i can take a look at how it's done right?

Hmm... i'm also skeptical about those supplement pills. Do they really have an effect? Would you feel different without taking them?
-
What a well balanced diet...
Will you also eat real food besides all those pills?
-
I haven't played the Spectrum game (yet) but your demo is nice, i think you could make a fun to play game out of it.
For a Christmas themed game the player could have to decorate the tree with different coloured ball ornaments in a given sequence...

Congratulations on losing your sound effects virginity.

Add to that the fact that your so-called "crappy" game happens to keep appearing on the weekly "Most Played" Atari Games list (alongside other "crappy" games like "Adventure")... well it seems to me that you should be giving us advice about game design, not the other way around.
Where is this list?
It's here:

I think you shouldn't take MausGames' comments too serious. After all he hasn't even finished a game and as i already mentioned in his "sucky bB games" thread - talk is cheap!
I like your games (especially Alien Greed II ) and it's also fun to watch your projects develop.
Take a break and relax. I hope you will feel better soon!

Thanks for the link! Funny site and most of the stuff this guy wrote describes us krauts pretty accurate!

IIRC a few fighting games supported the six button controller like Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3...
-
There is a six button controller for the genesis and it really kinda looks like a saturn controller if you don't look careful...
-
There's a disassembly of Mario Bros. in this thread.

Neo sold all the boxed standard editions of AG II for $45, so the price is ok.

Yep, the Music and Sound Editor is indeed awesome! Even a dummy like me can make decent music with it in just a few minutes.
