I just stumbled over a few interesting homebrews i haven't heard of before... More games to play on the show! 😃
The Adventures of Grumpy Gramps & Skateboard Steve, Super Step Bros etc.
Also try this Lander game which is even harder than Deimos Lander:

Indeed. But you can grab the Wicked Father ROM here:

The ROM was never released, but I suppose I have it somewhere on my HDs.
Is this the hack you're talking about? Looks like the ROM was released after all...

Great, i'm looking forward to see Lunar Lander on today's show!
I also just saw that there's a fixed ROM for Skeleton+ which should work on the Harmony Encore:

Looks like you can finally play one of the few spooky 2600 homebrews on the show. 😃

You need a paddle controller to play Birthday Mania.

That's sad to hear. 🙁
Thanks for releasing the ROM. Road Duel was featured on ZeroPage Homebrew last year and this episode also has some informations about Stephen:

Yep, that's a great idea. Developer Spotlights like Classic Gamer74's video about Edward Smith would be a nice addition to ZPH:

I love watching ZeroPage Homebrew. Seeing you guys play homebrews and give feedback is fun to watch and also a great motivation to try and turn one of my lousy ideas into an actual game. Keep up the good work! 😃
Just thought of a few interesting games you haven't played on the show yet:
Space Battle by Dave Neuman:

The Wicked Father by Junosix:

His Facebook page with the roms is not available anymore so i attach them here:

Nice game, the simple concept translates well to the 2600. It's as challenging as the Steam version of Duet:

Just played a few rounds, great game!

But we should play with the left difficulty switch set to B. If you set it to A you become invincible.

John please get cracking on a port of Fire Truck with Driving controller compatibility. That would be a great co-op two player game.
While waiting for Fire Truck you can play Arctic Landtran. It's inspired by Fire Truck and also works with the driving controller:

Looks like you're on a Tennis hacking roll.

I like this one, good old Bentley Bear should be in more games.

I'm sure there are others that I'm forgetting to mention.
There's also Chaotic Grill , a great remake of Burger Time.

Aerlean 590
Small correction: Aerlan's best score is actually 718. Check the YT video:

Wasnt there a prototype for Elevator Action?
Yep, there is a prototype for EA:

could anyone convert "2" for NTSC?
RVG Blast 2 is a PAL 60 rom so it will run on NTSC machines. It just needs a version with NTSC colors, should be easy to do.

I would much prefer to stick to 2600 only here. IMO that's complicated enough already.
Let the other systems organized their own awards if they like the idea!
Yep, i agree. Digging through all 2600 homebrews released in a year already takes quite some time.
IMO it would be best to keep these awards 2600 only and have separate awards for other systems.

Would it be acceptable aesthetically to have the text be below the score instead of the other way around as shown in the screenshot? I believe that I can eliminate the need to shrink the rest of the screen if I turn off the built-in score routine and provide my own implementation of it within the minikernel instead. Do you think that it will look fine that way, or at least be an acceptable trade-off to make this more compact?
I think displaying text below the score is just fine. Being able to use the full screen and text would be awesome.
Thanks for making this minikernel, looking forward to see how this develops.

I found a forgotten USB stick today with a stupid old version of DTC. Press fire while playing and Santa drops his pants... ain't it great? 🤪
