Yes, but you see, THAT'S NOT WHAT THE REST OF THE CONSUMER BASE WANTS!!!!!

Yep, but we gamers DO NOT CARE about the rest of the consumer base!

Maybe I should be concerned that I could stare at a lava lamp for minutes at a time...
So i guess you have already seen this demo?

i play addicting games that have a creative design.
Then Toyshop Trouble is the game you're looking for.

WTF? No PC version? Then Namco Bandai can stick their new Pac-Man game where the sun don't shine!

I would play Sprintmaster more if it didn't require a joystick. That game would have been more fun with the driving controller.
Then try this driving controller hack:

I took advantage of last weekend's GOG sale to buy all the Ultima games. Where can one find Pix's Ultima patcher?

Are there screenshots of this on the site? I tried the search, but found none. Eager to see it.
Screenshots are in this thread: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/201426-super-mario-clone-world-1-1-playable-demo
The latest playable demo version (worlds 1-1 - 1-4) is here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/202398-super-mario-2600-entire-world-1-demo

Avadon: The Black Fortress is available for $3.99 today.
And FEZ has just been released on GOG.com for $9.99.

Do you think that the second one is too forgiving, since it doesn't take away points until you run out of ping tokens? Or do you just prefer the more constant reward of the points counting up rather than a lump reward at the end of the level?
Yep, i prefer that using the ping costs points and the constant reward of points in the first version. Makes the final score more unpredictable (if that makes sense) than giving a set number of points for level progress. This adds to the "just one more round" appeal of the game IMO.

Fun game! Keeps me coming back for "just one more round".

I prefer the first version, the scoring there just makes it more appealing to try one more time and beat my best score (if only by a few points).
You could add a few more caves but it's not really necessary, the game is good as it is IMO.
My best score so far:

Deus Ex (PC)
System Shock 2 (PC)
Baldur's Gate (PC)

By the way, the link to download V8.0 is broken on Atarimania, at least it is for me.
Same here.

Deus Ex (PC)
Finished it a few days ago. Awesome game, too bad they don't make games like this anymore nowadays.

Don't remember the name of the game, but there was one where you were a treasure hunter, dive in the water, shoot the fish, then loot the thing at the bottom of the screen....only, due to a programming glitch, you couldn't get the treasure. Talk about a stinker of a game. To bad it looked cool too.
That's Scuba Diver, indeed one of the shittiest 2600 games ever.

Maybe I can help with the music-problem, do you have a Tracker based Program like Chipper for the Lynx?
