Hm... The only other 2600-game with a scorpion i can think of is Centipede.

Yup, but besides the spider there's also a scorpion in Centipede, it only appears from time to time and poisons the mushrooms.

It's the pinkish thingy in the upper part of the screenshot

I remember Crazy Cars for the C64, it's an awful piece of crap.

 

I'm not terrible excited about a 2600-version of this crap, but at least it's an interesting find from a historical point of view.
