  1. Nice work so far! I like GoSub and it would be nice to have GoSub 2! But IMO it should play a bit different then the first one.

    I have a few suggestions:

    - It would be nice if you could shoot the enemies and score points.

    - Change the enemies look and behaviour every few (5 or 6?) levels - e.g. replace the fish with a shark that is hunting you or replace the octopus with a faster one in later levels.

    - I think moving barriers or falling rocks would be nice.

Overall i think if you put in some more action and variation this could become a nice sequel to GoSub!

Keep up the good work! :)

  2. This is a nicely done game and i enjoyed playing a few rounds! Of course it should say "You Lose Turkey" when the computer wins, just like tic-tac-toe for the channel-f does :D

  3. I asked this before, but I didn't get any replies... what do you guys think about ending this season and starting a new one? In the past, I was always forced to start a new season due to a hardware failure, but the way things are going now, we could potentially go on forever.

    --Zero

I just joined the HSC last month so i would appreciate starting a new season! Maybe the beginning of autumn would be a good date for that.

My first score for Klax - 14,275 (yep, i suck at this game :) ).

  4. I think the best and easiest way would be to sell this through the AA-Store.
True, but this is not a homebrew. I originaly were just making a few carts for myself and as a gift for a few others, but since Darrell was kind enough to lend his assistance on the enchancements, I figured it would be worthwhile to produce a limited number for those in the community intrersted in a copy; thus- I introduced the poll.

Yep, it ain't no homebrew but the AA-Store also sells hacks (though only 3 for the 2600 at the moment).I just thought it would be nice to have it available for everyone who wants one all the time.

But i also like the idea of a boxed limited edition so maybe after that sold out you could sell a "standard edition" with cart + manual only through the store?

Anyway, that's just my opinion and i'm looking forward to the final version no matter how and where it will be sold! :)

  5. So : Medieval Mayhem, Lady Bug, Pac Man collection...Any other idea ?

I would recommend Strat-O-Gems Deluxe, Fall Down, Oystron, Conquest of Mars, Go Fish! and Star Fire.

But as you can download the ROMs for most of the games in the AA-Store you should really try them all out in emulation and see which ones you like best!

  6. Yeah, another demo from the wAMMA guys who now call themselves "Trilobit" as it seems...

And like their previous demos it's great! I especially like the music in this one, it comes pretty close to C64-quality :music: !

It also works fine in z26.

  7. I like E.T.! I remember playing it countless hours back in the day and i still like it nowadays! I even managed to bring E.T. home without reading the manual (i only had the cart), i was kinda fascinated by this game as a kid and found out what to do during many gaming sessions.

The funny thing is that i don't like the movie so i have no idea why i like the game so much.

  8. It's not exactly an Easter Egg, but Four-Play does have a bonus puzzle game. As the manual states it can be unlocked from the title screen. Has anyone figured out how to unlock it yet?

Yup, Hack-O-Matic revealed that secret for me but i yet have to find out how to unlock that "extended" version of Knight Jumper. :)

  9. So how many homebrews are Bb games?

No offense but they all seem to be....ahem......"basic"

bB games released on cartridge so far (afaik):

    - Solar Plexus

    - Phantom II/Pirate

    - GoSub

    - Alien Greed

    - Travi 7800

    - Wumpus Hunt (though afaik only 1 "prize cartridge" was made)

    - The Last Ninja and N.E.R.D.S from Atari2600.com look like they were made with bB

And there are a lot of interesting WIPs in the bB-forum as well as (more or less) finished games.

The graphics of bB-games maybe not as nice and colorful as in some more "advanced" homebrews like Strat-O-Gems deluxe, Lady Bug or Medieval Mayhem but for me it's the gameplay that counts.

IMO a bB-game can be as much fun as one programmed in assembly, just depends if i like the gameplay or not.

And also not all the homebrews made in assembly are fun to play...

  10. Hey, this game is not bad! I have it on Cartridge and only played it a few times but it's really fun to play a few rounds!

Another "raw diamond" from Taiwan :D

The shooting and explosion sounds are the same as in Phantom Panzer so maybe this one was also made by Bit Corp?

Anyway, my first entry for this - 9,372
