  1. True, but this is not a homebrew. I originaly were just making a few carts for myself and as a gift for a few others, but since Darrell was kind enough to lend his assistance on the enchancements, I figured it would be worthwhile to produce a limited number for those in the community intrersted in a copy; thus- I introduced the poll. Yep, it ain't no homebrew but the AA-Store also sells hacks (though only 3 for the 2600 at the moment).I just thought it would be nice to have it available for everyone who wants one all the time. But i also like the idea of a boxed limited edition so maybe after that sold out you could sell a "standard edition" with cart + manual only through the store? Anyway, that's just my opinion and i'm looking forward to the final version no matter how and where it will be sold!
  2. I would recommend Strat-O-Gems Deluxe, Fall Down, Oystron, Conquest of Mars, Go Fish! and Star Fire. But as you can download the ROMs for most of the games in the AA-Store you should really try them all out in emulation and see which ones you like best!

    TOM/JONES

Yeah, another demo from the wAMMA guys who now call themselves "Trilobit" as it seems... And like their previous demos it's great! I especially like the music in this one, it comes pretty close to C64-quality ! It also works fine in z26.
  4. I like E.T.! I remember playing it countless hours back in the day and i still like it nowadays! I even managed to bring E.T. home without reading the manual (i only had the cart), i was kinda fascinated by this game as a kid and found out what to do during many gaming sessions. The funny thing is that i don't like the movie so i have no idea why i like the game so much.
  5. If you like Warlords check out Medieval Mayhem, it's a much better port of warlords and even more fun to play!!
  6. Yup, Hack-O-Matic revealed that secret for me but i yet have to find out how to unlock that "extended" version of Knight Jumper.
  7. bB games released on cartridge so far (afaik): - Solar Plexus - Phantom II/Pirate - GoSub - Alien Greed - Travi 7800 - Wumpus Hunt (though afaik only 1 "prize cartridge" was made) - The Last Ninja and N.E.R.D.S from Atari2600.com look like they were made with bB And there are a lot of interesting WIPs in the bB-forum as well as (more or less) finished games. The graphics of bB-games maybe not as nice and colorful as in some more "advanced" homebrews like Strat-O-Gems deluxe, Lady Bug or Medieval Mayhem but for me it's the gameplay that counts. IMO a bB-game can be as much fun as one programmed in assembly, just depends if i like the gameplay or not. And also not all the homebrews made in assembly are fun to play...
  8. Hey, this game is not bad! I have it on Cartridge and only played it a few times but it's really fun to play a few rounds! Another "raw diamond" from Taiwan The shooting and explosion sounds are the same as in Phantom Panzer so maybe this one was also made by Bit Corp? Anyway, my first entry for this - 9,372
  9. Hm... Let's see... Homebrew games with easter eggs that i know of are: - Medieval Mayhem - Solar Plexus - Phantom II/Pirate - 2005 Minigame Multicart - Toyshop Trouble - Wolfenstein VCS: The Next Mission (if you count that as homebrew) There is a list with easter eggs on the DP Site.
  10. I used to throw the Joystick or Joypad against the wall when i was mad about a game, but that was back when i was a kid. Nowadays i just turn off the console (i can't afford new joysticks every month ).
  11. Damn, The Last Ninja seemed to be an interesting game but as it seems by your description it's like Venture - fun to play but way too short. Too Bad...
  12. Pac-Kong is the worst 2600 game ever. Period.

    Katakis

Oh Yeah, Katakis, still one of the best side scrolling shooters ever!!! And still a blast to play nowadays! Correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't the disk-version only have 8 levels and the tape-version has 12?

    Giant Monster Games

I just remembered another Monster-Game, Godzilla Generations for the Dreamcast. It seems to be crap though...

    Giant Monster Games

Theres also Mail Order Monsters for the C64.
  16. I think the main problem for a 2600 port would be the horizontal scrolling, the 2600 is not very good at that (super cobra anyone?). If you're looking for an Intellivision-Emulator try Bliss, never had problems with it.
  17. Yeah!! This game is a blast! I'll have to grab a copy and play it on real hardware. First entry - 18,246.
  18. Dude, the only thing thats building is boredom! I ain't gonna believe this until i saw a pic of the original cart or you upload the ROM here.
  19. Nice little game! I just tried it with Bliss. The only thing i'm missing is a nice fountain of blood when you bite people! I don't know how well it could be ported to the 2600, but a 2600 with the same basic gameplay (bite people and turn them into zombies) would be nice! Here are some pics...
  20. Yup, i also like the Channel F. I had a Saba Videoplay (german Channel F) and really enjoyed Labyrinth, Völkerball (Dodge It), Torpedo, Robot Hunt and a few others. That can only be 'Video Whizball'.
  21. Oh boy, i ain't no pinball wizard! I still can't get used to the nudge feature. Only slightly better so far... 60,432
