  1. That's true for Merlin's Walls, it's quite impressive as a demo but totally sucks as a game... but i have to say that the title-music rocks! I don't think the other Ebivision games are that bad and Allia Quest is already on my "must buy" list. And for Power Off! i'd just like to check if it isn't too frustrating for me, i find it very interesting...
  2. I hate sports, every kind of it! But there are a few sports-games i really enjoy like Leader Board Golf (C64), Decathlon (Atari 2600) or Tony Hawks Skateboarding (Dreamcast).
  3. I found a ROM for WW:TWR in the [stella]-Archives IIRC, it's not the final version though. Although it's not here on AA the ROM for Merlin's Walls (Standard Edition) is available, i have it in my ROMs folder but i can't remember where i downloaded it.I just wonder if this "standard edition"-ROM is different from the Cartridge-Version? It's a shame that the other Ebivision-ROMs are not available, i might buy Power Off! some day but I'd prefer to test it before i buy it....

The latest version totally rocks! IMO the difficulty is much better now, still challenging but not frustrating. I love level 5, pushing the borders with your ship is a great idea! Also awesome that you included lead 1k! My best score so far is 2490, i'm sure i can do better with a bit training..
  5. Thanks for those nice examples!!! They'll sure be useful for me when i get off my lazy butt and continue work on my game one day
  6. That's a nice idea! Do you wanna host any kind of hacks on your site or only hacks with a horror-theme?
  7. Wow, this game is coming together pretty fast! Awesome job! And espire8's graphics are awesome too!! I have a few thoughts and suggestions on the game: - I played for a while and i think that 161 screens are enough, i got lost quite a few times... IMO using all the possible 255 screens might even be a bit too much... - As you're thinking about a final boss for the game, why not make the goal of the game to find 4 pieces of a legendary sword (or another weapon)? Once you have all the 4 pieces you'll have to bring them to a special (magic?) place in the cave where the "special weapon" is "rebuilt" again. When you have the "special weapon" you than have to find the final boss and kill him with it. - I like the idea of hidden treasures in the game. Even if you have completed it once you could play again and try to find all the treasures and score as much points as possible. - A few "side-quests" like finding a captured girl or searching for a well hidden treasure would be nice too. - Besides the monsters you could also have some other obstacles in some rooms, maybe falling boulders (which would fit quite well to an "Indy-style" game) or bats... Something you can't kill and just have to run away from. - If ROM-Space allows it would be neat to have an ending-sequence after completing the game. That were just a few thoughts that popped into my head... Keep up the good work, i'd love to see this game finished one day!!!
  8. Don't waste your time with Pac-Kong, better play this "trainer-version" in which i also gave the game it's right name pctrainer.bin
  9. I also think the last two carts are for a C64. The black one could be a Final Cartridge III...
  10. I forgot to mention after fixing the shortcut Level 11 is unsolvable now.
  11. Those pics look good! Does it play like Spy Hunter? It would be nice if you could upload the Rom so we could play the game. Damn... maybe i shouldn't have sold my Videopac
  12. Shortcut Update... Level 5: L,D,L,D,R,U,L,U,L,D,L,U,R,D,R,U,L,U,R,U,R,U Level 10: L,D,R,D,R,D,L,U,R,D,R,U,L,D,R Level 16: D,L,U,L,U,R,D,L,U,L,D,L,D
  13. Thanks for that link! Always nice to see new 2600 homebrews! Those 2 games are made with batariBasic as it looks, would be nice to see the code or at least have a .bin-file to try 'em out.
  14. That's a good idea! I'm looking forward to see this implemented into the game.
  15. Thanks for reminding me of that, i read about the homebrew-games for the elektor-computer ages ago and totally forgot about it There is an Interview here with a guy who made his own elektor games. But notice that it is in german. IMO you can call those games "homebrews" so we can scratch the VC 4000 off the list. You can find 3 Studio II homebrews here, together with an emulator. I don't know if any of those games have been released on cartridge though.
  16. found some more shortcuts... Level 2: D,L,U,L,D,L,U,L,U,L,U,L,D,R Level 5: D,L,D,R,U,L,U,L,D,L,U,L,D,R,D,R,U,L,U,R,U,R,U Level 10: D,L,D,R,D,R Level 11: D,L,D,L,D,L,U,R,U,R,D,L,D
  17. I tried out the latest version of CombatDX and i like it! You've already come pretty far with this project, would be great if you can implement an AI for a 1 player mode! If you wanna find some good sounds for your game this little tool here might come in handy.
  18. Hm... good question.... afaik there has been no homebrew for the german Interton VC 4000 Console. There are homebrews for the Channel F, on Sean Riddle's Homepage you'll find Tetris and Lights Out and there's also VES-Pacman. None of those game seem to have been completed, but nevertheless Channel F homebrewing atleast has been started.
  19. Hm... let's see... 1. Bentley Bear (Crystal Castles, Arcade etc.) 2. Q*Bert (Q*Bert, Arcade etc.) 3. Frogger (Frogger, Arcade etc.) 4. K.C. Munchkin (K.C. Munchkin, Odyssey 2) 5. Mother Kangaroo (Kangaroo, Arcade etc.) 6. Winky (Venture, Arcade etc.) 7. Sir Dudley Dashly (Jungle Hunt, 2600) 8. Rockford (Boulder Dash, C64 etc.) 9. Evil Otto (Berzerk, Arcade etc.) 10. The Millipede (Millipede, Arcade etc.)
  20. I just spent some time playing HH and found a few more shortcuts... Level 7: D,L,D,L,U,L,U,L,D,R,U,R,U,R,D Level 10: L,D,R,D,L,U,R,U,L,D,R,D,R,D Level 12: L,D,R,U,L,D,R,U,L,U,L,D,R,U Level 13: L,D,L,D,L,U,R,D,L,D,L,D,L I also noticed that the candy-corn in level 12 should be repositioned a bit, it sits a bit over the playfield. Hope those shortcuts don't cause you hairloss Keep up the good work on this game, i really enjoy it!
  21. The game is coming along nicely, i like the title screen and the music! I found a shortcut on level 5 (red blocks): L,D,L,D,R,U,L,U,L,D,L,U,L,D,R,U,R,U
