I really like Lead 1K, great to see an extended version of it!! My best score so far is 168, this game is pretty hard! IMO it would be nice if the game would be a bit easier and therefor have a 4-digit score, it would be more fun if you could score more points than a max of 999. The Asteroid level is a nice addition to the game, i like that! I can't think of any more suggestions at the moment, i'll have to play it a bit more. Keep up the good work!!!

I just tried this one out, looks really great! I'm looking forward to see how this game develops!

No problem! I don't have a Cuttle Cart so i just tested the roms in z26, dunno if they will work on the CC. I cut down the spongebob-hack to 4K, maybe this works with the CC. spongebob4K.bin

I downloaded the 3 hacks from your links and the spongebob and star trek hacks worked fine, although spongebob is 16K while the original game (revenge of the beefsteak tomatoes) is only 4k... And here i have the correct R2-D2 Rom: R2D2_JAWA2.bin

I like your new score table, less points in the early rounds and more in the later ones would be very motivating! I hope you find someone who can help you with applying those changes, it would be the icing on the cake for this already great hack! IMO it's one of the few hacks worth buying on cartridge! Sadly i just made my first trys with bB and don't know anything about asm-programming so i won't be able to help you and bit hacker or hack-o-matic aren't really helpful for changing sounds... But hacks like Rob Kudla's "Pac26" show that it isn't impossible

StarWars - Asteroid Chase (Asteroids DC/Sadistroid HACK)

Nice Hack!! The Graphics are very good. Too bad i can't play this on real hardware, i have a pair of driving controllers... -
Hm.... a RPG-type game with mice and cheese.... why not call it "The Cheese of Destiny" ? Story could be something like this: "You are Maus on your quest for the fabled Cheese of Destiny... the one cheese who knows all the answers to EVERYTHING. Just one bite of it will make you ruler of the galaxy. But beware, your girlfriends searching for it too. You better find it before her or you'll be in big trouble..." I can't think of a "cheesier" story at the moment.... I'd like to see a demo or wip of the game, this would surely give me some more ideas...

I'd like to see K.C.'s Crazy Chase, Pick Axe Pete or KTAA on the 2600. KTAA is not only the best O2-homebrew, it's also the best O2 game i ever played (sadly only in emulation). I was really amazed when i played it for the first time!! I use O2EM, never had any problems with it. I like RobotCity 1K, a 4K version of it would be great!

Mega Apocalypse is fantastic! Just love the music in the game, fits the fast paced action very well! I haven't played this since ages... i will dig it out again over the weekend and see how far i can get after all those years

Surprise! A game I *don't* need help on!
Impaler_26 replied to atari2600land's topic in batari Basic
I finally found some time to play this and i really like the game! It already plays well and the halloween-theme is very nice. I'll have to play a few rounds more later, i only made it to level 5 so far.... I personally would prefer to pay 5 bucks more for the game and have 25 or more levels instead of "only" 12 or 13. Just my opinion about this... -
My top five games at the moment: Phoenix Crystal Castles Defender Moon Patrol Solar Fox

I sold nearly all my machines about 3-4 years ago.I only kept my 2600 and my C64, that's all i need to be happy

The Competition Pro Joysticks are nearly indestructible, i'm using mine since over 15 years!

Licensed classic games that didn't suck
Impaler_26 replied to The Eidolon's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I like The Goonies (C64) and E.T. (Atari 2600). -
As i only played the C64 and 2600 version of Burgertime i voted for C64.
-
Great demo! Watching your demos brings back memories of the good old C64 demo-scene... Keep 'em coming!

Yep, batari Basic is really great! I also wouldn't have believed something like it would be possible a few years ago! And now there are already 2 bB games released on Cartridge (Solar Plexus and Phantom II/Pirate) with more to come, not to forget all those other nice games that just exist as .Bin files.... I know what you're talking about, i'm too lazy to make a game myself... I downloaded bB 1.0, printed out the instructions and read it about halfway through. Then i compiled the included samples... and ended up playing Zombie Chase... But i'm slowly making progress now, i already have a movable sprite, a playfield and collision detection. So i wouldn't give up on making your own bB game, it isn't that hard to learn and you'll find enough people here who can help you when you're stuck. It's just a matter of finally overcoming the lazyness and just do it i guess.

Picture of my complete Tigervision collection.
Impaler_26 replied to homerwannabee's topic in Atari 2600
Nice collection! I only have king kong and polaris, don't think i'll get the other tigervision games (too expensive for me). Those two are better than ANY videogames -
The Jr. because it was the first Console i got.

Ok, so no banana then... that's not too bad, the parachute pack is cooler anyway. I really like the latest version! It's even more fun with sound effects and the scrolling colors look nice too! It's also nice to see whats possible with bB, this and all the other great bB games motivate me to do something with bB myself one day. Keep up the good work!

No problem, glad i could help.

Qb for the 2600.

I have 2 screenshots of the PAL Version of Basic Programming running on a PAL 2600 Jr. here. Sorry for the lousy quality, it's my first try of a vcs-screenshot. Could someone tell me whats the best way to take screenshots with a Digicam? Should i use the flash or not? Anyway, hope this helps...

Thanks for those links! I tried out Ves-Pacman and i must say it's quite impressive! Too bad this hasn't been completed, even with some simple squares as "ghosts" it would make a nice Channel F game. I wouldn't have thought something like that would be possible on the Channel F.... Maybe you could use a 256k rom like sean riddle's multicart, but i can imagine programming this would be pure torture..
