  1. Thanks for those links! I tried out Ves-Pacman and i must say it's quite impressive! Too bad this hasn't been completed, even with some simple squares as "ghosts" it would make a nice Channel F game. I wouldn't have thought something like that would be possible on the Channel F.... Maybe you could use a 256k rom like sean riddle's multicart, but i can imagine programming this would be pure torture..
  2. Very cool demo !! I also checked out lasertime and (core), they're great too!! Keep up the good work!!
  3. This is a really nice game!! I had fun playing it and i just love that octopus Also nice to see what's possible with bB. So congratulations on finishing this game, you did a great job on it!
  4. Hm.. it's possible that the Emulator doesn't support 4K carts yet, all the roms are only 2K and after all it's an Arcadia 2001 emulator that also works with VC 4000 Roms and it was not especially made for VC 4000 Roms. I didn't have much time to try it out yet, just checked out some of the working Roms... but i had a good laugh as i saw "Laser Attack", a Laser Blast clone that's even worse than the 2600 original But nevertheless it's a good start.... I hope support for larger VC 4000 Roms will be added, i'm curious to check out a few games i didn't have like Hyper Space, Winter Sports and Super Space. I guess i'll have to download the latest version of MESS then... I'm still using MESS 0.88b
  5. You're welcome, i still had the Rom-set sitting on my hard disk, so np. I haven't heard of that Pac Man clone yet, this is very interesting! Do you have the address of that mailing list? I'd like to take a look at that. Your mockup is pretty neat, a nice colorful-mess (for Channel F standards) and from a distance you can recognize what it is supposed to be Would be nice if that could be done on the Channel F....
  6. Yeah! I finally found an Interton VC 4000 Emulator after looking for one since years! thunderstruck from the CCC Forum posted a link there and i thought you guys here might be interested in it too : Interton VC 4000 Emulator. At the moment there aren't many working Roms for download yet, so somone has to dump all the Interton Carts!!
  7. I love that parachute and the shaking screen, they're great additions to the game! I haven't tried much with bB yet so this might be a stupid question, but could the game be done with the multisprite-kernel? If not maybe using a missile or a ball for the banana would do the trick? It wouldn't look that good but i think it would be ok. I found myself falling to death quite a few times while trying to catch the parachute pack, trying to grab special items adds a lot of fun to the game! I tried to improve my score a bit yesterday.... 2305... I need to check out the latest version tonight, i'm sure i can do better than that I hope attaching a screenshot will work this time...
  8. Thanks for those links, i ran across Sean Riddle's Page about 1 or 2 years ago when looking for infos about the Channel F. I was pretty surprised to find out that there are actually Homebrews for the Channel F Great Site with lots of information! I also read that post on AA back then and IIRC i found the link for the Rom-Set somewhere in that thread... Too bad i don't have my Saba Videoplay anymore, a multicart would have been a much better use for that boring Chess Cart
  9. I just tried this out, very nice game! I'll have to play it some more later.
  10. I really like this hack! Nice idea, fun to play and the graphics are excellent! IMO it would be even better if you change the music, maybe some kind of "medieval" tune would fit the game theme better. It would also be nice if you change the sound effects and the scoring to make it more different from Eggomania.
  11. AFAIK most people don't like the games, the graphics were blockier than on the 2600, games had only 3 (or 4?) different colors etc. But i really enjoyed a few of them, guess i just have quite a strange taste when it comes to video games I also like some of the very early 2600 games like Star Ship, Slot Racers and Air-Sea-Battle... I'll attach the complete ROM-Set (except for the two homebrew games which you can download from Sean Riddle's Page), so check out those games for yourself. CHANF.ZIP
  12. Fun little game, i like it! Please keep on working on it! Besides sound-effects maybe you could also include some items to grab (bananas?) for extra points? My best score so far is 1399...
  13. Pac Kong is the worst 2600-game i ever played... I can't imagine that anyone enjoys that.
  14. I played Video Whizzball in MESS a while ago and found out that i missed one of the best games for the system.... I also thought it would make a nice 2600-conversion, but i don't see how the controls could work with only 1 fire-button. Maybe shoot when you press fire and rotate the player when you keep fire pressed and push up or down? I don't think it would work well... besides that it should be not to complicated to do it on the 2600. I'd like to see Dodge It done for the 2600... maybe this could even be done with bB I had the SABA Schach Cart but didn't have much use for that as i don't play chess...
  15. Ah that explains it, i was just wondering. Nowadays making a Hack is a piece of cake with tools like Hack-o-matic and Stella Debugger. But without them it's a different story, i tried that once and couldn't get much done with only a disassembly So for making this nice hack the old fashioned way! Thanks for fixing the colors! Very Nice!
  16. Nice Site! I had a Saba Videoplay (=german Channel F) and i loved the Maze Game for it, also liked völkerball (dodge it) and torpedo. Too bad i never had Video Whizzball. It's very interesting to get some more informations about this quirky system! Keep up the good work!
  17. Some of my favorite shooter/action games: Genesis: Mega Turrican Biohazard Battle Thunder Force 3+4 SNES: Axelay R-Type III Super Turrican II Parodius
  18. Nice Hack! IMO it would look better if Bender was grey and the Devil Robot red.
  19. Nice idea for a hack. I like it!

    Rest In Peace little furrballs...
  21. I have 4 2600 Jr.'s and might get a 7800 in the near future. I also owned a Jaguar a few years ago but never ever used it.
  22. Revolution X on the SNES! The worst piece of crap i ever played!!!
  23. I just tried out this game today, it's really great! I'm looking forward to see it released on cartridge some day
  24. A few "not so popular" games i like: - Air-Sea-Battle (I played that with my ex all the time, great 2 player game) - Phantom Panzer (i love the explosion sounds) - E.T. (WAY better adventure-style game than Adventure itself) - Slot Racers (also played that quite often with my ex.... and lost most times ) - Bobby geht nach hause (iquite popular here in germany)
  25. Here's another fast Hack. I really miss the Galaxian-Stage in the Home-Versions of Gorf so i threw some Gorfians into Galaxian. Blast those ugly Space-Potatoes!!! Gorfians_Hack.bin
