Soy is supposed to be fermented. That's why many people who are allergic to soy can use soy sauce. Stupid American companies don't usually ferment soy and just stick it in everything basically as-is.

I still say if anything bothers you, don't eat it. But I did read an article in The Vegetarian Times, backed by scientific research showing soy to be fairly safe...The main takeaway for me was that there is wild speculation on the internet, very little of which is true or backed up by research.

Onions can cause heartburn sometimes. My dad won't eat them. He likes them; They don't like him. The dislike for soy is about as serious IMO
