  1. Tried a Kinder Bueno Crispy Creamy Chocolate Bar the other day and it was pretty good. As their web site says, it's "satisfying but not heavy."

Kinder stuff is great.  I haven't tried that version, but their one with the white filling is awesome.  And they also have ones with crispy cookie outsides called Happy Hippos.

We get them brought to us when the people from our office in Germany come to visit.

  2. You just sit there on your butt whether you read a book or watch TV, so how are books better? At least you can't get a paper cut from TV.

      Not sure if joking...

Well,  I'm not joking.  I never see 7 foot tall monsters you can control for sale on TV!  Only that My Pillow Guy.

Books usually contain propaganda, which is similar to advertising, but you can't change the channel or hit the mute button. Your only choices are to stop reading the book, burn the book, or pluck your eyes out.

  3. So would using missile0 be the solution? You could widen it and make it taller and change the color, then a virtual sprite would go behind it.
  4. What about making the sprite go behind the playfield? Or maybe go behind missile0? As a quick test, I enlarged missile0 and moved a virtual sprite to it and it went behind it: randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-batari-basic-commands.html#ex_dpc_13_objects
  5. Somebody told me that you like The Beatles. Here you go:

  6. Yep, the bB page tells you when things need to be in the main loop: https://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-batari-basic-commands.html#nusiz You might also want to look at this section: https://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-batari-basic-commands.html#ephvarreg
  7. It seems to be working here, but it was compiled a long time ago: https://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-batari-basic-commands.html#ex_dpc_13_objects Try compiling it and see if you can change the size of the missiles by selecting them, holding down the fire button, then moving the joystick left or right.
  8. There is a difference in color, speed, and sound, although the differences probably aren't huge enough to make the average person complain. The first thing that should stand out to just about anyone are the colors. Atari 2600 colors are more vivid. Here is a semi-related post:
  9. I have an Atari 2600 and an Atari 7800. Atari 2600 games look better on my Atari 2600.
  10. Remember if you're using bB, there is a bB forum: atariage.com/forums/forum/65-batari-basic/
  11. For those who don't know, I have Atari 2600 video game release date pages that have "pop culture atmosphere," meaning there are lists of music, movies, and TV shows (with links to YouTube and other web sites). Well, I made a test page with only the pop culture stuff for those who aren't that interested in video games: https://www.randomterrain.com/1982.html Please take a look at the page and see if it's OK the way it is or if there are more things I need to add or change. If you know any non-gamers who are interested in 1982 pop culture, please ask them to look at it too. I'd like to know if any changes need to be made before I make other pop culture pages. I've been meaning to do this for years, but just now got the urge to do it. I'll use the 1982 test page as a template for the rest of the pages (1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1991). I'll make pop culture pages for other years (including 1990) whenever the urge hits me. Thanks.
  12. The hack wasn't necessary, it just made the game easier for people who are bad at playing games that are more complicated than Tetris or Bejeweled. Related links: To What Degree Do You Love E.T.? E.T. Manual and Tips Sheet E.T. Map E.T. Tips and Reminders E.T. Appreciation Page E.T. Cake
