Bakasama, you can get all misfitmame roms (one at a time) at retroroms.net (you have to sign up). Or, if you want to torrent the lot, visit the Pleasuredome. As for your non-saving of high scores in Burger Time, did you read the misfitmame faq, particularly question 12 ?

Yeah I locked that thread as it had turned into a stinking heap of shite. Now, as for what was replaced, Jeff's rom replaces the original code roms, and involves banking to switch between normal DK, and D2K. The rom is mounted on a Braze highscore kit, together with a 93C46 EEPROM (to save settings and high scores), and a PAL chip to control device selection and banking. The graphics, sprites, sound, and proms are NOT replaced, however Jeff makes clever use of previously unused original graphics. There's another thread at MW where it is stated that Nintendo gave up their rights to the original code. However they still very firmly own all the graphics and ideas, and the Mario trademarks and designs. That is why Nintendo has taken no action even though various spoilsports have reported Jeff to them. They are not concerned. As to the ethics of Jeff making money out of Nintendo's ideas... well you guys can decide that. Whatever, it's not going to make any difference. I just hope that Jeff continues with his good work.

Zophar's domain has some section for rom downloading but it told me i was in the wrong country. How weird is that?

Mame and misfitmame do different things, so its better to install Misfitmame into a new folder.

It's only in the last year that MAME has had multi-threading. Even then it's fairly crude, basically the video goes to one CPU, and the remainder to the other CPU. Your version 0.100 is far too early for that.

I have MAME 0.103, which should be close enough. For the nvram games, I assume you've already added the ROM list and the GAME macro. Now we need to modify both the MACHINE_START and the ADDRESS_MAP_START. So, take a copy of each and give them the name of the new game. Make sure the GAME macro points at the new MACHINE_START. In the MACHINE_START, point the address map to the new one. Also, add some NVRAM, using syntax like this: MDRV_NVRAM_HANDLER(generic_0fill). Lastly, in the ADDRESS_MAP_START, define which area of memory is to be backed up. The syntax looks the same as in my code, just copy/paste. Compile.

Why are you using MacMame? That's rather dated... why don't use start with SDLMAME instead? http://www.parodius.com/~roni/sdlmame/ That's assuming the OS is the same... I know stuff-all about Macs. What version is your MacMame? And what problems are you having?

I only joined a few days ago, and thats because I wanted to download an attachment. But you cannot download unless you are a member. So I signed up, only to find I still couldn't download because I need to be validated both by an email, AND by an admin. But after a number of hours, I could finally get in. Whew!

I've got Miner 2049er on a 5 1/4" floppy disk for my oldest pc. You have to to boot off the floppy for it to work. And it still does! Took a while to discover that you have to press Esc to jump...

Street Fighter 3 does not run in MAME so it's not going to work in mameox or whatever variant you're using. Xbox has memory limits which can cause trouble for big games. The Killer-instinct specific emulator is called KIxxx. I could say more but I'm not sure what I can link to (being my first day here and all).
