    If PIN 12 and 13 of the TIA have a direct connection on the main PCB (a multimeter should read 0 Ohms betweens these two pins), you have an NTSC console. If they are not connected, it's a PAL console.

    so what youre saying is lift pins 12 and 13 and you have a pal atari ! :D or add socket w pins 13 and 12 lifted as not to ruin chip.

    I have seen pal jumpers on all the jaks pacific games even the keychains have pal jumper!!!

    look on page 5 and 6 even though you dont have this monitor all color screens ecept for big screens projections have these purity rings look like round fridge magnet rings you would need to some how get a video of cross hatch pattern so ill capture a jpg from pacman from mame for you then you can

    just burn a jpg to c closed cdrom and use a newer dvd player to load up picture unless you have a way to load up the atari test pattern cart but the pacman cross hatch pattern works great.

    all you have to do is get a a rectangle blue type storage container a rubber maid one works great use the lid to keep circut boards from shorting out or you from having to touch them when tv is on then stay away from sucktion cup wire remember you might need a mirror cause you have to reach behind tube to get to yoke knobs and look at screen at same time so do SMALL adjustments I strongly suggest you use cross hatch pattern if w white cross hatch patterns once you get the hang of it you know you got it its kind of a bitch at first but once you figure out what it does its easy to adjust all of them remember you adjust the inner two apart or closer to them selfs i have yet to get them to work aligned pushed together but you can rotated the iner two simultainously all the way around but this makes picture roll around the screen too so remember not to loosen the rubber knobbies holding the yoke wire harness to the tube otherwise the whole picture can be screwed up so the horizon is at angle you wouldnt want this if you screw it up then make shure you turn tv off get some goretex winter towrope ski gloves and use a jumper cable from a mounting screw around frame metal gnd to the suctiuon cup hole DONOT crunch glass ans cause a inplosion. anyway remember if you only adjust the purity rings and use the rubber maid container cover you should have no problems converging the screen back to normal then if you notice a coil around the screen where the frame ring mounts then you have a built in degouseing coil and wont have to worry about kids bringing magnets to close to the tv also you can use a soldering gun to somwhat degauss cause it makes ac waves near the screen ..

    i spent hours scrwewing around w pacman/s test screen and the wells gardner k4616 4600 series arcade monitor using the windows in my apt and reaching around wooden cabinet arcade cabinet it should be easyer to do this w tv ALSO if you talk to the tv repair man if youre nice and ask really nice mabie he would help you by explaning the purity rings ans since you could do it youre self i think once you look at pdf file here

    the cross hatch screen is not full screen it would be better for you to use a laptop w svideo out or composite out hooked to youre vcr to the tv or just use atari cart tvtest and mame then just pause pacman and then push tilde ~ button and increase pause brightness and then adjust using that screen. then you should not have any problems. anyway good luck.

     

    PS wow I didnt know my camera took such good pictures you can also see the yoke wires just to add a tidbit I once made a 13 inch b/w panasonic tv my dad used to use for the altair 8008 as a dumb terminal video monitor I have since went threw a new tuner pack witch has been since bypassed and hooked a 6v relay to a 12v relay stealing power from the tuner power so i can use tv as test bench for space invaders as on the yoke wires if you swap the two inner and the two outer wires around the picture flips like cocktail mode! if you use mame you can just use rol 1 anyway good luck I hope you converge youre tv also if you have a atari 800 you could just make a cross hatch pattern in basic or just go gr.2 ?#6,"#" abuntch of times and since it starts print mostly on the left right it should be easy to adjust .

    Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

     

    I checked out a few new CRTs in person and boy you all hit the nail on the head! This is NOT the same quality RCA unit as I currently use. If I said it was flimsy I'd be accused of being too generous!

     

    My RCA XL-100's picture is clear but off a little as red bleeds from the blue on the upper left side. I've been told all I need is a cap kit to fix this but I have no idea how to install one. I had a TV repairman look at it and he said it would cost $300 to resolve the issue but I think he was just trying to rip me off. For now I just ignore it as best I can but it's hard when playing Hunchy II as the title level is all blue where it really puts the misalignment in its worst light. I'd REALLY like to get my current tube fixed but so far everyone I ask wants a fortune to fix it. They all tell me "Why not get a new plasma or LCD?" *sigh*

     

    They just don't get it....

     

    I'm keeping my eyes peeled in craigslist every day now. If I find a good deal I'll post some pics.

     

    As a side note I bought a used old classic 19" TV from someone on Craigslist last year who said the picture was perfect. Of course he didn't have an outlet to test it in when I got to his house so I took his word for it. I got home and the picture wiggled as if being seduced by a snake charmer. I was only out $25 but I spent $30 worth of gas to get it. :P

     

    I'll be more careful this time around...

    there are magnetic rings on the yoke the part of the tube with the windings on it these are adjustable.

    if youre computer can put out composite use a vcr then run atari tv pattern then converge untill you can see only white lines!!!!!!!! i spent hours OK days converging my arcade monitor but this can be done on tv's too.

    also a degousing coil can fix magnet type problems where the color stays but if its alighment those round ring fridge magnets on the yoke need adjusted. ALSO A solder GUN can be wiggled to degouse if done close you can wave it around and avoid needing a variac and a degouing coil but good luck w the yoke convergence and remember to use a mirror so you can see DON NOT touch the sucktion cup or even get near it and keep youre left hand behind youre self to avoid highvoltage and death. DONOT TOUCH THE WIDTH COIL EVER its high voltage you can use a plastic choke adjusting rod I some times cheat ans use a floss pick. LCD SUCKS even 2 millisecond resopnce time is enough to make you miss ONE smart bomb I wont upgrade my computer monitor cause 18.5 inches is good enough for me espically when playing asteroid ver 1 on mame at 35/35 frames per second I want to see all of them not miss one frame cause some lcd memmory chip has to cache it and assume black level w artifacts and chunks of grey! crt screens rule for video games!.. that repair man was trying to GOUGE you $300 is more than the tv is worth . the good will or thrift store that still takes tv's should have a lot of really good ones people upgraded from.

    I almost forgot to ramble longerrr if you rip apart a tuner pack that wont work w out wiggleing it you can unsolder it take the channel rotary switch apart then pinch the connectors back then put back together and then ch3 will work great with out any lose connections I did this to a rca tv i bought for $4.95 from a thrift store and now it gets a super great picture TUNER GREASE IS a crock.

    Gizcode is run on a super stripped down nes chip used for the menu's and game loading. I'd have to pull the boxes out and pull all of the code together. I've got a lot on my plate right now, I'm coming home from the hospital tomorrow after my 3rd major open heart surgery in 7 months and I need to catch on so very much, I'll still need about 2 weeks just to really build up my strength and get back in game.

     

    So keep in touch, keep nagging me to remind me, but also please be patient

    I hope you are doing better w youre recovery and hope you dont do to mutch stress drink a lot of FUZE.. get wheller soon! :D :cool:

    HMMMMMM interesting I was at Target the other day and noticed the atari 10 game joystick was still avalible but noticed there was a big huge 1 inside a circle then i noticed a nother jaks pacific mspacman this one was a cocktail cabinet plug play and went hmm it had a different number in the circle mabie a 2 i cant remember but i did remember that sponge bob had a 3 so there is 3 versions of the sponge bob plug play I also obtained a single paddle plug and play device and ripped it apart instantly when i got it and found a 1p 2p jumper a pal jumper (not used) since i have ntsc and paddle player 2 input paddle player 1 input SO i took a single pair atari2600 padele and now i have soldered both to the button hole and after lots and lots of melting i finnaly got the main paddle on the unit not to spin and the orignal atari paddles work and you can play 2 player games even though the menu lies and says it wont work it does let you choose 2 player games cause of the jumper added. I also did the flashback hack twice once w the one w the BLACK wire that failed cause i tried to solder pitfall II onto pcb that blew up pitfall II I witch have replaced . I did however do the hack to a diferent version FB II and fit it into a broken 2600 w blown chip then removed the good chips for spares and scrapped all wires off the traces for p1 difficulty p2 difficulty so they would short to gnd then used the CH3-4 switch for the B/w color switch for playing fbII adv making the bw mode makes the walls in the invisible rooms visible mabie a kid mode.. anyway I bought a bootleg cart from someone here w snoopy just so i could play again then i made my own hackomatic verion of crockrocks I renamed asteroids© to c 2007 aw and made the rocks look like aw's and r whell the ®'s have memory holes in them but the aw was made to fit into a rock this was hard because you had to keep adding chunks to hackomatic and think in hexidecimal binary even though i understand binary i cant quite get it my dad made a altair 8008 once so i get the jist of it but cant quite get programming as i would like to anyway I like flashbacking from built in memmory to color( i mean cart mode of the flash back) I used the color /bw switch to switch from built in and cart's this switch was used purposely cause its loose and has two thresholds where the right and left sides of the switch error near the down postistion making it able to let you switch from say cartridge is snoopy and the red barron on that 2764 cart bootleg cart witch no matter what i screw up in the built in mode lock up the snoopy cart ALWAYS BOOTS :D then i power off NOW I USED THE OUTPUT of the 7805 (340t)5v off the capacitor so i could use a original FUN VISION POWER PACK an original atari 2600 type power pack. so you have to unplug then wait to kill power all the way! but its cool you can start missile command on flashback II and switch to snoopy or asteroids on the bootleg REAL cart cart and sneak back to missile command like POWER FLASHING witch is impossible on this one cause i used the capacitor cause I know my self and didnt want to ruin it so i assumed the capacitor having all that power in it would keep it on WHell it works .. one time a freind was over and he started to screw w the color/bw switch i used to switch between built in memmory and carts and was flashing that switch I told him that was ok but not the power one and that I had MOVED the flashback switch he somehow got the screen to say AREA NOT USED THIS AREA intentualy not used. or some thing like that intentally left blank I was like HOW the hell did you do that and got scared then i wiggled the switch back UP and snoopy booted then i pushed back down and AS assumed it locked up so i pulled the power pack off then snapped the + end to gnd got rid of static then plugged the phono plug back in and it went to the menu I was like COOL a new way to flash so this is cool I thought about a usb stick and wondered if the chip they used was just a disguized memmory stick w .bin files filed in order at memmory locations like pacman 4 in one menu.

    SO is jaks pacific going to come out w the flashback III or a cart to usb game key or do we have to make the KEY's our self ... being that is the KEY. is to collect all key chains all versions of games and the one who dies w the most toys wins and you cant take them w you. ..

    hmm mabie they could get pitfall II to load into the new flashback III also before i forget once playing w a sears arcade II just a 2600 w red led's socket selectors for joysticks i was playing pitfall II and remembered someone did something stupid but it worked once I decided to hook a whimpy 6v power pack and hook a 9v power pack in parralel adding to it and found out the music in pfall II went faster w more voltage . this was cool and weird at the same time.

    Replying to that i say dont worry i still have 5¼ floppys w atari800 dos

    dos3 dos 5 and dos6 win95 dos cdtech.sys /d:cd and I actaully got the compaq

    portable suitcase 286 to use a nokia 3589i 3.6v battery and got a 2g western digital hard drive to load up to 259M bytes this was a pain but since i could boot to usb drive on my big machine i decided to just remove the whole floppy rack then boot to the usb drive then sys a: b: a:{being the usb faking a:} then format /q/s then i stole the compaq c-mos setup.exe then booted from the floppy then once the floppy let me into the c-mos w the fully charged nokia 3.6v battery soldered to the motherboard where the dead dead c-mos battery went I was able to choose a drive type witch allowed 259M then once booted to floppy i had win98 dos on it but decided to change it back to dos5 since you cant do anything w out a memmory card i loaded dos5 from usb stick to a: then sys a: c: and pop it booted to the western digital drive!!!!! i was like no way so i got bowling basica and adv.exe yes you want instructions and reincarnated Yes and feed bear.

    I figured out if you have a sio cable for atari800/400 you can use ape and ultra copy to use virtual drives and copy from it self to it self just copy disk w atari on hooked to computer emulation mode then copy it once then take copy and leave write hole off then just copy it again then it fills the cache on the second virtual drive so on ultra copy you would just do a 1:1 not 1:2 from disk 1 to disk1 w out f for format cause you dont have to format a atr file I once got a image into atari800 once then had to reload xp but it was fun. I also have some win98 machines and I yes still have a machine witch boots to a seagate mfm 225 some times i turn it on w out keyboard or screen to lul me to sleep. I also still have a working atari800 810 I hope it still works but have faith in it .

    Once i wanted to play a 32 in one green cart on the 2600 i got off ebay and couldnt play cause i couldnt get the vertical hold to stableize then rememered the hauppauge had a pal tuner mode and shure enough putting it on ch3 in the pal mode or composite pal mode the game worked great ...

    this worked on the usb version but would work on any tuner that gets old tv signals w a pal tuner button. I dont know weather a digital tv tuner would have pal cause i cant afford a computer digital tv tuner. anyway if you have a regular hauppauge or other tv tuner just use ch3 and pick pal mode! :cool: ;) :D

    I picked up for free a 32" Toshiba with 3 composite inputs 2 of which had also Svideo. The problem was it had no audio on the tuner. Check Craigslist and be patient. I also got a 20" Trinitron for free. The tuner had probs too, but it at least had a composite input. I use a DTV tuner on both. They are nice and will serve me until they die. I have a warehouse and am considering picking up a pallet of 21" monitors, but I do not have any use for them.

    my old roomate has a toshiba and in the remote control menu you can turn the internal speakers on or off just get a universal remote with the circle menu and the ok button inside for the menu's and this should let you in .. good luck. I just got a dtv rca dta800b1 I wish it had volume and ch3 in but it does control the tv's volume and power but mostly i use it on a old computer panasonic 13 inch military grade monitor and the ATARI LOOKS awesome cause its got no tuner to recive herring bones.. interferance.

    oh i forgot to add this note I have a 19 inch wells gardner Arcade wiz wor original arcade cabinet screen witch died and had the one single blue line but i found someone on ebay who had a 13 incher listed and asked him if he knew how to fix a k4600 series monitor and he said come over and sold me a chassis for cheap It was a good deal and now it looks brand new exept for the klax and the garwar burn in from the wiz wor and the klax games it had NOW i changed its orintation to vertical and it works great I wish i could get composite to cga and vs versa cause those arcade monitors are great..

    tv's are great too if you use enough chokes on the video cables or rf cables you can sometimes get great atari pictures w out interfering w the other sets in the house. ENJOY. I also like the 708 blue on yellow transparent telecaptions of the new tv tuners . this also makes me happy cause the thrift stores and the dumpster at the apt keep comming up w completely great color tv's cheap I just snagged a zenith 13 or 14 inch witch just needed a coil resoldered and a screw removed from the inside and now it works great nothing beats playing atari on a tv or really good composite computer..

    A long time ago in a galaxy far far a way in 198x my parents were away on vacation and happend to call In the middle of a atari 800 4 player mele asteroids game and my dad HEARD the sound asteroids overload pop noise and said GET THAT DAMN atari off my big screen tv !!!!!!!!! I said It was hooked to the front of the vcr and it will get instantly onhooked as soon as game is over w no burn in.

    Lose the remote, and the thing is dead. No disassemble, just plain dead.

    :?: I don't think I ever use the remote.

     

    Come to think of it, I believe you can thoroughly program that brand of TV from the front panel. There are many that require a remote to program. Where the problem lies is that Dynex sets usually won't accept a universal remote. If you do depend on the remote and it gets lost, you're screwed. I worked on 'em in my job in a nursing home...just the place where people are gonna need the remotes.

    whell as far as the remote you can get a GE universal for $4 at wallmart at least in MN you can get one that cheap hm I have a dynex router and i think its BEST buy item so mabie they would have a universal remote for it I think I remember the box for the dynex said best buy on it if its a hotel type tv then you need a specail remote I might still have a bag of hotel remotes someone gave me. otherwise mabie the cable remote would work. check this out i found this on google..................

    Comcast Cable Forum . i bet that would help.. as I still have my Zenith glow in the dark remote witch wont accept more codes cause i FILLED its c-mos I can scan codes w power and ch up but I cant change the ones in the remote I hope that code works for youre tv ....

    Good LUCK. also some times like my tv you have to push volume up and down simultainously to get menu .. Also my memmorex 20 incher is like a sharp it has the hidden remote control menu so i can super roast the contrast I can even screw w the vertical size witch some times i like to strectch letter box but sometimes the bottom rolles over it self.. anyway enjoy.

    on atari 800 not using svideo short the snd gnd to chroma and the colors roast fully for missile command!!

    CHOMP THE SWORD to the bottom left and down at an ANGLE then sneak it off screen but still holding it then KILL dragon by surprise ALSO on fb II if the key is the dragon color its afraid of it too!!!!!

    The banks in these carts are swapped. You will need to break the 8k image into two 4k chunks, and concatenate them in reverse order.

    is it intel bix hex or ascii or binary I had 1 succesfull burn of my adam asteroids aw crockrocks but the power went off just after my burner said over current I acidently put the atari cart in backwards then the whole block went off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a fuse in a green transformer blew I HOPE IT WASNT THE atari cart But the bruner kept saying over current good think i was using the UPEEN s battery back up system mabie it saved the burner anyay I can send files but forgot witch way to send them do i need win95 terminal or bin to hex converter or something like that i forgot its been a while I did copy snoopy again but thats just copying chips not getting them from hackomatic II from the laptop to the burner and into the flashbackII cart mod! I only have the ONE testing cart I got from someone here w freiide nightmare avatar anwyay I was trying to get my modified coke wins onto a rom and forgot how to send it to the burner it keeps saying incorrect file

    I almost forgot fruit is miss pacman plus uneque and the ghosts are normal untill eaten they grow apple leafs on there heads and change back instantly to chomp on you if they SEE you durning when u eat that power pill it changes back fast its cool.

    PAC-MAN Ms.PAC-MAN AND MISS PACMAN PLUS ALL Midway versions.

    I would like to try to run a 2600 maze in a real cabinet I still have a pacmame cd rom burn w PACnam6 and age editor i dont under stand the key to the way the maze is represented in the age editor but someone knows what those chunks represent and can make pacman mazes just as easly as a pole postistion construction set witch STILL EXISTS in LEIBERMAN COMPANYS 's

    MUSIC ARCADE eepromming room! .... they also have a Asteroids I dont know if it has been GOLD PLATED YET..

    they could do that WE in Minnesota have a lot of Atari and other pcbs to reclaim the GOLD off of like 386 chips are PURE gold pins!.

    atari carts mostly have gold plating on them .

    the game I like the best by atari is DELUXE asteroids cause the sound is from the 800 its coool.

    fire truck was cool but hard to steer . space war was cool and the sit down space game w the airplane yoke was the coolest game ever but the yokes broke and operators wanted room big mistake i would have kept it but you know one bad coin counter will blow up every game hooked to it including super breakout or pong.

    PONG is the only HOME game you can add a quarter slot to and not start game untill you insert coin cause the start button is on when you turn game on and it opens the connection unhooking button to start game and when the quarter lets go of the credit it starts its cool.

    Here is what i think YOU should have multiple versions of MAME if you want to play w better speeds.

    if youre playing and older game then use the older version of mame like asteroids runs great and sounds REAL on mame 32.v034!!! but golden t4 plays better on version 103 or 120 i like those versions but m32 v067 is the one i like I also had one version boot to freedos and a compact flash to ide converter directly into mspacman w out moving parts It takes a while to boot but i did it w out moving parts NOW IF I COULD just get sandisk to make a rca lyra 32M compact flash w 24Mhz crystal into a 16G stick for $5 then i would beable to have windows xp boot into a flash drive! the current compact flash drives are slower and only have 16Mhz crystals .. anyway try newer versions of mame32 try killarea or other versions of mame32 made for youre video card and try to download open gl drivers or download DIRECTX SDK from

    msdn downloads ! directx can fix most GORF errors I used to have that game crash a lot untill i redownloaded directx so if youre mother board has DRIVERS then download them THIS IS WHY ITS BETTER TO make a computer from scratch instead of one w a image w out motherboard directx drivers . if you have a built in nvidia then download the new drivers these always work better than ones that windows have they have more gl drivers and directx witch makes mame run better also uncheck keep aspect ratio and pick 16:99 then you can pick d3d and you should see an improvment.

    also use seal directx for sound its better!

    if you want jitter free paddles Take the paddles apart then dissasemble the POTS then

    with a eraser BE CAREFULL erase the actuall reistance ring then with a GREEN 3m scrubbie gently scrape the wipers DONOT BEND or KINK THE WIPERS CAUSE THIS CAN RUIN THE pot resistor! anyway

    PS. I delivered a package there as a currier once its just a bunch of cubicles and the lunch room has 5 video games.

    one of them looked gutted!!!!!!!!!... they told me they were going to make a mame cabinet.

    I played pitfall II on the 800 and got to the second game inside the game after you get diamond and the other trinkets but never got no message.. i DID when making that delivery of an envelop I did ask them about pitfall II and she said OH yeah I remember that old game I told her about the frogs that moved on level II and I said is there more and how to i get to level II w out cheating by opening the atari400 door chomping the switch then unplugging cart but leving the left side in then unhooking only the right side then pushing in witch disconnected enough of the cart to allow me to GO THREW THE WALL

    where you were not subposed to bable to then fall down one level making it possible to get to levels not possible. then she said the reason you couldnt get there w out cheating is because the level in witch you can jump higher is the level you wait two bat passes and wait for BALLON . I didnt know there even was a hot air ballon to jump on !!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway When i got home i waited and shure enough a ballon came then i was able to play w out having to cheat. then I found a pitfall II cart on Ebay for the 2600 cause i had one but blew it up trying to solder it to a wrong revision flashback II.. then I got the replacement used pitfall II for the 2600 so i have one for the 800 bad label and a good label 2600 version.

    CHECK THIS OUT one day using the 2600 sears arcade II basicly a 2600 with funky led switching joystick inputs so you can leave two paddles ( 4 total usable paddles) and two joysticks in all the time then just push paddle or joystick led switches to switch.. anwyay i was using a power pack and remembered someone did something stupid and i was wondering if it would work or what it would do so i hooked two power packs to the input at the same time NOT FOR MORE THAN 1 minnute as this over heats power packs and is a fire hazard.. anyway I switched to a selectoramic IMA power pack w switching inputs 1.5v to 12v started w 9v witch i assumed the atari needed to run but I dont even know what the actuall input is I assume 9v dc is ok since it just changes it to 5v anwyay!!!!!!! but the cool thing is when playing atari 2600 pitfall II the music is the same as the 800/400 version exept only one sound channel still mono of course but when you change power to more power like runnning off a 9v battery and add a power pack the sound music

    SPEEDS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I was like BLOWN AWAY wholly crap the atari changes speed acording to the POWER GOING IN..

    I had to ask a roomate to acknowledge this cause I just could not beleive it but YUP it was REAL when you run pitfall II at a lower voltage and up it from like 9v to 12v the music speeds up.

    I DONOT SUGGEST DOING THIS TO YOURE ATARI 2600 cause you will blow up youre 7805 voltage regulator!!! be carefull what you run into the atari 2600 since i was switching from 7.5v to 9v it was ok I assume like when i was in 10th grade you could easaly run a atari 2600 for hours on a 6v lantern battery just hook to the capacitor and remember to unhook when done cause the capacitor is after the power switch and even so its conencted UNLESS YOU HOOK TO THE POWER SWITCH witch might not work cause youre running the voltage regulator witch sucks power!!! . ALSO I did run the stereo test w tank and it is actually in stereo the left tank comes out of the left speaker and the right tank comes out of the right speker witch is why all atari 2600 older cases came w two speaker holes but no plastic to mount them cause they just ran sound into ch3 or 4 . good thing too!!!!!! now all my atari's are now converted to composite and audio cause of the 2009 tv crock comming up I decided to make all my atari's plug & play. the sears arcade II still has ch3 I never converted it . OH before i forget when i was running a 32 in one atari pal cart I hooked it up to my computer tv tuner and switched the tv tuner computer tv tuner to pal and it ran w out rolling that was cool cause i was running ch3 in US CH 3 in and chomping it as a pal signal cause the game was pal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the computer tv tuner was pal it worked... cool huh. under normal composite video it dont work!

    PS.. SORRY ABOUT THE LONG RALMBLY POST I WAS TIRED AND UP ALL NIGHT LOADING ALL ATARI BIN FILES TO A LIGHT SCRIBE...

    Those are the mazes from Ms. Pac-Attack, with the 'Plus' graphics. It's also interesting that they put the 'Bread' in the exact same spot that I did ;)

    Yes it is a real pacman pcb w a canadian mother board i got when i bid on two bad non working as is pac-man midway pcbs on

    ebay I decided to rob the roms to see what the 5e+ 5f+ ment then replaced ones on board then found out it changed the pacman into mspacman but game was still pacman!!!!!!! then i put 5e 5f in backwards!!!! this caused the whole game to boot into japaneese graphics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this blew me away then i put them back and decided to see what happend if i removed all other roms exept for the 5e+ and 5f+ roms and it almost changed it to mspacman but was screwey then i deciced to install the weird daughter board witch came w it and viola i got miss pacman plus © 1982/1983 MIDWAY ..

    then i got interested in © so i looked in the pattents and found MIDWAY made miss packman plus namco NOT FOR HIRE... meaning it was an all MIDWAY HACK NO NAMCO INVOLVED since it was a MIDWAY PCB MIDWAY COULD NOT GET SUED but anyway i think NAMCO JUST TOLD MIDWAY DONT EVEN THINK OF IT so they probably stopped and instead made more galaga cabinets ... anyway yes they turn red and then blink red blue before turning back into monsters.. also the game is way harder w out a original pacman cabinet control the one i have w switches is way harder but still works.. the mazes are exactly the same as the nintendo mame version you speak of but this one has the correct fruit.. also i saw a artical of a real machine on google but never saw a actuall machine but still am happy i own one ..

    PS.. one day two years ago my cousin was over and i was showing off and changed from pacman to MISS PACMAN + and blew up one of the 5f chips this sucked finnaly about 1 year later asking everyone on ebay about making a rom and i finnaly found someone who knew exacltly wtf I was talking about and got a replacement rom... I like the version you have If you want a copy of the one i have i could give you the 5f 5e roms but I dont know weather the daughter board wouuld be same i think its differnt!!!!!!!!! but that dont prevent me from copying the roms on the dut board!. anyway mabie if you had the original code you could steal the fruit but I tried it with switching one of the 5f or 5e chips and the fruit goes back to normal..

    you still did a good job.

    I can send more pics if you want. here only problem is its 35,000 or 65,000 for extra mspacman that sucks.

    Hello all:

     

    This was the hack I was referring to in the 'Ms. Hack-Em' thread in the 2600 hacks section. It is Ms. Pac-Man, but with all of the differences that Pac-Man Plus applied to Pac-Man. It plays as 'mspacmab' (Ms. Pac-Man bootleg) in MAME.

     

    Dav did most of the work here, while I made changes to the graphics to match the 'Plus' game, added the 3200 point table & graphic, and changed the maze colors.

    BTW, the fruit is out of order for 'color' reasons.

    I have an actual Miss pacman + mother board w the actual miss packman + roms in it and a special daughter board.

    it starts out on a weird maze and has diet cola blunts and differnt fruit..

    anyway I can send a picture if it lets me
