Digging up a 12 year old post! Well done!
Well.....
I grew up with an mostly unenploid singel mother and an older and younger brother, videogames and technical new inovations wasen´t something i was use to playing with.
I´m born 76 so i´m really to young to have been part of of the first video-game era.
But luckely my older brothers friend allways had the latest technical stuff (video-games, comoputers etc.). His familly was well of and he gave me his VCS i guess around 84-85, when he coulden´t bother whith that old crap anymore.
That made me cool in school for about a second, until kids around started to get the absolutelly amazing c-64.
I played my atari to bits all the way untill around 90-91 (my woodgrain died in 88 and i then got a JR.) when finally bought a c-64. Then the cool thing was the amiga.

I think i now collect what was i considered luxury to me back then: Videogames (not only atari) and VHS tapes (my mother got a VCR as late as 2006)
.When it come´s to the case of the VCS i guess it´s beocuse i was teased alot about having "some old shit console" in my childhood, and the fact that what ever they said i absolutely loved it. Especially the later games like californaiagames and tom-cat.
I got a lot of love for the 2600!
Cheers.

Well i understand your logic moneywise.

I know that i would never, ever get propperly paid for the labour and love i have put in to this hobby, if i were to sell my boxes/carts. So i guess i probably never will. Therefore i don´t have to worry about the value of my collection, becouse for me it´s absolutelly 100% priceless!
I do love boxes though, and i kind of want to by a sealed game now just to open it. I haven´t done that i more than a year.

Cheers.

I recently opened a sealed Dig Dug and Mario Bros. Neither of which are hard to come by but just knowing that they had lived for so long sealed made it feel odd to be the one to open them.
It's similar with Vectrex. I want the overlays so people suggested buying the games and selling the boxes. That just doesn't feel right though.
I now collect loose only. I go out of my way to avoid boxed games. Even if the price were the same I'd take a loose cart with a good label or an equal boxed game just to save me having to deal with the box.
I just love to open sealed boxes. I ussaly do it on special occasions.
I have about 130-140 boxed games and about 500 loose.
Since i care for both carts and manualls it sometimes meens that i get a box allong the way. And i usually keep all of them. But my main priority is the carts.
I did sell all of my boxes a couple of years ago, but i then traded them back for my car (white saab 900 ).
Cheers.

Are you certain that one is PAL?

I´m woundering the same thing myself.
I do hope it is a PAL-cart in that box, but would like to know how you tested the cart, when you came up with the conclusion thats it´s PAL?
Nice pic!
I use a old 50Hz tv with no support for NTSC (most 50Hz tvs supports NTSC) to test my carts.
I now of a swedish collector that dumps the carts, then count the scanlines.
How du you du it high voltage?
Cheers.

On the subject of carts that doesen´t exist: Ewok adventure and star wars: the arcade game is also a carts i regard as non existing (never released).
I would also like to be proven wrong about them.
Cheers.

Was Strawberry Shortcake even popular outside of the US? That may explain why it wasn't released. It's not like they could just rename it the way they did with GI Joe/Action Man
I rember seeing alot of strawberry shortcake stuff in sweden. I guess orund the mid to late 80´s, but i don´t think it bacame a huge hit. I´t could have been imported by some swedish company for a nice price when the US hype was over?
Cheers.

Surely it would have been reviewed in UKs C&VG or German TeleMatch magazines.
Maybe we should write to Palitoy Company, Owen Street, Coalville, Leicester, LE6 2DE (info from back of box) and ask.
I have never seen the company name and adress written on the back of an parker box, only in the instruction pamflet.
Is this written on the back of your PAL strawberry shortcake box?

Edit:

I had some tigervisions with fixed dust pins that would not insert far enough into the jr port to work.
What is the problem with earlier woodgrains?
I think your junior i busted in some way, i never had that problem.
In regards of the six-switchers : The slot is to small to fit the carts.
Cheers.

Searched many a European auction and European Craiglist type sites. I have never seen one before.
Same here.
I have considerd this cart to be non existing for some years now, but heard more then ones people claiming to own it.
this cart is like the PAL redlabel mouse trap: I want it to exist, i see tons of carts (NTSC) being sold on european auction sites, but can´t find any prof of it existing in PAL, just hearsay from people who haven´t tested there carts properly.
I would be happy to be proven wrong though.
Cheers.

some Tigervision
All tigervisions work and fits into the JR. , and ALL other carts for that mather. But they do not fit into the earlier woodgrains.....

Hi all.
I was kind of thinking i had a complete (PAL) parker collection, until someone told me that i was missing strawberryshortcakes musical matchups.
I always thought that this game only existed (PAL) as a prototype.
If it was released, who owns it?
Cheers.

MY IDEAS FOR SEASON 2 (games mentioned in RED mean Difficulty A / Expert / PRO; for the others let's use Difficulty B / Novice)
The Classics - Dig Dug & Missile Command
Paddle Games - The Music Machine, Demons to Diamonds & Guardian
Rarely played games - Cakewalk, I Want my Mommy, Dolphin & Z-tack
Anything goes - Flash Gordon, Malagai, Space Cavern, Spider Fighter, and Turmoil
...and the use of gameplay videos!
Ok. I try to find my vhs-camcorder then, to film my tv while playing.

Wanted PAL atari2600 carts.
