  1. SCCC with some high 816 RAM would be sweet.
  2. This works PERFECTLY under XP32. I have yet to get good Android or Fire Stick drivers working on Win 7. Yuck. Stick with what WORKS. (And they can't spy upon). XP32 is the SAFEST OS to run... Don't believe me? History will prove me correct. Wanna bet? Win 7-10 is (or can be) infiltrated by evil Bill Gates M$ $pyware. This goes MUCH deeper than anyone can imagine. Prove me wrong. I DARE ANYONE to PROVE me wrong. BTW, if I get blocked, then it means I am over the target. :)
  3. I use only CX-40s. No need to post a picture... We all have one. I have a feeling this thread wants me to post a close-up so it looks really BIG. I have been complimented by ladies about my CX-40. It is more than sufficient, and, w/ the Best Gold upgrade, is is VERY sensitive to movement. :)
  4. I's like to see a cycle comparison of SID emulation (or other CPU intensive player) vs playing MIDI. Which one would be more efficient for in-game sound?
  5. Pro: It runs on XP32, it has a good number of games. Con: Audio isn't good (try Ballblazer), no full screen mode. Also, I didn't see a way to load my own files into it.
  6. Does this one use SIOV so I can have a hard disk ATR image mounted with the Loader, or is it physical SIO port drive only?
  7. The save to disk option would be very useful for those of us with Ultimate carts.
  8. Every 800 must have at least one RAM card unless it has an Incognito.
  9. Open#1,8,0,"V:" print #1,"Hello, I am an Atari" close #1 Should work on 14x0 models w/ the the Votrax chip. V: is Voice.
  10. MIDI off loads the sound from the CPU. Many more cycles available for graphics and game. Let's DO this. :)
  11. Have you tried holding the interlock switch down?
  12. From Mapping the Atari: 514,515 202,203 VPRCED Serial (peripheral) proceed line vector, initialized to 59314 ($E7B2), which is merely a PLA, RTI instruction sequence. It is used when an IRQ interrupt occurs due to the serial I/O bus proceed line which is available for peripheral use. According to De Re Atari, this interrupt is not used and points to a PLA, RTI instruction sequence. This interrupt is handled by the PIA chip and can be used to provide more control over external devices. See the OS Listing, page 33. 516,517 204,205 VINTER Serial (peripheral) interrupt vector, initialized to 59314 ($E7B2). Used for the IRQ interrupt due to a serial bus I/O interrupt. According to De Re Atari, this interrupt is not used and points to a PLA, RTI sequence. This interrupt is processed by PIA. See the OS Listing, page 33.

    AVGCART

But, overall, the plug itself goes into the socket (acting as a single pin). It's still good.
  14. Atari case plastics, Yes. Chips, not so much, but BE CAREFUL with it. That is my point. It's the same reason you should NOT spill brake fluid on your car's paint when filling your master cylinder's tank.
  15. It's gotta be out there SOMEWHERE...
  16. I have done that. Edit: Be Very careful with Acetone. It attacks / melts many plastics.
  17. SIO works w/ divisor zero? Timers, everything works? If so, I think I want one.
  18. Someone has done this already. I just can't remember who. It was from Poland or Eastern Europe IIRC. I saw it a few years ago.
  19. IIRC, Freddie has a number of inline inverters that perform the delay.
  20. I use a real, spinning hard disk so I have no Solid State Flash to burn out.
  21. Now, The Atari 800 has a square metal sticker w/ fuji, then to the right there ia a plastic sticker that says Atari 800. I have the Harry font, but I don't have the outlined numbers for 800. 1: Does anyone have the font w/ the outlined numbers? 2: There is plenty of space to the right side to add Incognito. Any ideas?
  22. Technically, Vaseline is Pure Petrolatum. It is NOT a grease. Grease is usually heavy oil mixed w/ a soap to make it stick. Grease: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grease_(lubricant) Petrolatum: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petroleum_jelly Either one is good, as long as you can get some in there. :)
  23. Have you made contact with Atari dealers such as Best, B&C, etc.? They may be interested in a bulk order.
