#FujiNet Testing and Bug Reporting Thread

Around 2007 or so I used the example SIO driver code FROM sdx 4.22 and modified it to be a MyIDE.SYS driver, which I added to the Cart ROM flash file. That was the first implementation of MyIDE on SDX (without Partition Table support) [I am BAD at mathematics]. This is how APT got started. Many magnitudes of THANKS to KMK and especially FJC who took this idea and ran with it. Mad-Assembler-master.zip Maybe you could do the same thing with N: The example source code was good. It is a good generic template for writing a MAD assembleable SDX driver. Look here: http://mads.atari8.info/mads_eng.html Look at SIO.ASM. D/L Attachment. This is the latest version I have. SDX 4.22 source included. There is no reason this shouldn't be released publicly for the good of the community. sdx422.zip SIO.ASM -
Is there a link to the XP32 binary package?

I'd suggest emulate MSS because it supports DNS resolution so I can type ATDT broadway1.lorexddns.net instead of 96.235.16.79. That makes it good for BobTerm, et al. Edit: I use a UDS-10 and have had trouble with double characters, etc. This means you must use RAW protocol, etc. IIRC, the MSS fixes that as well. Correct me if I'm wrong @_The Doctor__.

Also, what about CP/M hard disks? Will a fast one be available on the SD card? If we go SIO, it would be nice to use UltraSpeed or faster. That's the fault w/ Indus. SLOW.

Feature proposal for FUJINET to download firmware updates

Is this REALLY that difficult, or do you hate [and are trying to exclude] XP32 people? This has nothing to do with 'security' This is about COMPATIBILITY. :) -
Yes! Use this. Make sure it runs NZ-COM / Z-System. Nice! I want to run WordStar. :)

Indus GT Floppy Drive to (Modern) PC

You are using the /COMMAND line, right? -
A Full NZ-COM implementation would be nice.

BobTerm needs rewritten or hacked to make the phone# field long enough to accept four 3 digit numbers with a dot in between each one and a space slash space / and a 5 digit port number to accommodate all devices. I can't use the BobTerm directory with my UDS-10.

I lost video due to (I believe) a dead transistor. I'll reboot it and hope it works. I work 7 days a week and have little time. I'll try to get a day off soon. It's difficult because I am the only person at the store that knows how to do everything. They don't know how to rent a U-Haul or pay a phone bill or pay a utility bill... It's difficult to find HONEST people to train for the job. I recently found a girl that seems decent and honest. As of right now, I think she's gonna work out. Maybe in a week or 2 I hope to fix it.

#FujiNet - a WIP SIO Network Adapter for the Atari 8-bit
Kyle22 replied to tschak909's topic in #FujiNet SIO Network Adapter
Could problems with other SIO devices be caused by the VERY short pins on the pass through SIO connector? Longer pins or about 1/4" trimmed off the plastic would help. Nothing will stay plugged into mine. Plug SIO2BT in and shake it... it falls out. If you even TOUCH an SIO cable plugged in to it, it falls out. -
It's nice, but remember it is software. This is OmniView in a cart. It is Graphics 8. It uses WAY more CPU cycles to display text in this mode, and it consumes about 8K more RAM. -K

Maybe something as similar to the Hayes as possible so it would be easy to patch software (if any exists). :)
