DeLorean(s) are for sale here: https://www.delorean.com/

It could be the GTIA.

It is thicker than a solid state CF card, but it fits in all the adapters I have.

I am using a Seagate CF spinning hard drive. The Seagate ST650211CF. It works nice. Cheap, REAL spinning HD, no flash wear out to worry about.

If you research T. T. Brown Fluxliner, then Doc Brown's Flux Capacitor sounds about right. http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread1153437/pg1

Atari 1050 Disk Drive Power-Up Failure
Kyle22 replied to foxmulder900's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Look into Ultimate 1M to get SDX built in, 1M RAM, and more. SIDE2 or the new 3 for [fast] hard disk.\ FujiNet is awesome. These are must have peripherals. -
To do more than 19,200 yeah. Divisor zero would be SWEET! Goal: Get NZ-COM on the Indus. Use fast SIO and PBI large HD image as B:

Bob is great! A good heavy duty crowbar type zener will blow the Ingot before it can damage the computer. :)
-
It's OK. This may be too much for the sheep to swallow at this time, but, history will prove me correct. Sorry for the de-rail.

What's wrong with ATRs? They are great for RespeQt or many other devices. They may be copied back to a real floppy so you can give it to a friend. ATRs are great. :)

Need BASIC ROM Chip, Or Compatible EPROM
Kyle22 replied to 777ismyname's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Don't forget about the Motorola 68764 / 68766 24 pin EPROM. It is difficult to find and sometimes expensive, but a perfect replacement for a 2364 BASIC chip. On board, or in a cart. It works fine. -
The escape codes are VERY different from Epson.
-
@trub So this should in theory work with a PBI HD partition as B: then? I wonder if the DPB can be patched to use more than a 180K disk.
-
That would look so gay. :(

If it is a boot disk, then disable BASIC and Enable as much RAM as you have. If it requires separate ANTIC access, then choose CompyShop RAM. If it is a single executable file, try to use any of the various game loaders. SpartaDOS 1.1 has a nice game loader. Copy and say Boot XSPLOAD.DOS. There are many loaders out there. Search for one that works.

Solder 3 wires, put in 4464's then install Ultimate 1 Meg. That will get you going. Look for the up and coming SIDE3. Edit:Also, do something about the video.

What about using a WST stepper motor in a Tandon mech?
-
No, AFAIK, the version doesn't matter. This needs more testing. I was using Trub Terminal.
-
I used a Star NX1000r, compatible w/ Epson JX80. If this is even remotely compatible w/ Epson, I would like to figure this out and re-make into a new PicPrint+ that runs under SDX. Unless I can find that stupid BASIC boot disk YEMACYB. It had some nice assembly code. Awful proggie, but nice dithering ASM code for P:. The original PicPrint+ was designed for SDX, BTW. Protection on the original YEMACYB disk was trivial, BTW. Booted BASIC, Variable names obfuscated. It was an easy rip/hack. It is sad that I lost all of that code long ago. :)

WTF happened to this 810 (Tandon mech) drive ?
Kyle22 replied to cwilbar's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Good luck re-aligning it. The best way I can think of is run RPM under SpartaDOS-X. Make a batch file to run it over and over. Anything to keep the drive reading. A BASIC pgm. would work. Anything that does a constant read of a sector. Turn the stepper motor one way [slowly] until you begin to hear read errors. Mark that spot as to the position of the stepper motor. Turn it the other way until you get read errors, and mark that spot. Place it in the EXACT mid-point between the two extremes. That's a start, anyway. It is best if you have an original Atari formatted disk. Hope this helps. -
All it would take is a DCB change in the BIOS to support larger drives, as well. There is much room for improvement.

I have 5.3 now. It stops emulation (seemingly randomly) when I am using CP/M. I had to turn off all highspeed stuff. I was playing Zork and still got BDOS Err on B: a few times. Is there a way to configure @trub Term (TT) to use high speed, or is the Indus directly commanding B:? There has got to be a way to make this nice and fast. Ideally, we should be able to have the Atari -> Indus -> Atari speed made faster, and allow PBI mounted images to be used as B: instead of slow SIO. Any suggestions?

What is the absolute value of Pi? Have you calculated it to infinity? :)

I don't know how I ended up with 5.1. I thought it was 5.3 on that computer. If the ATR is bad, does anyone know where a good one is? Thanks.
