  1. I see how you may draw that conclusion, but he didn't list it as one of the things he specifically purchased, so I don't. Why didn't he just answer the question? OP: Did you buy or were you given access to the buyer & seller databases and financial information?
  2. I'd be interested in the new drive. What is the approximate price?
  3. I like te idea of moving the button to the top so it can be used in the 1200XL, 1400XL, 1450XLD, etc. Sorry, I must be popular today my inbox was full. PM sent.
  4. "PikoInteractive Posted Today, 9:25 PM Defender II have you read the whole thread? Or just the Original Post? Check out later replies ;)" Having read your replies, my previous post was/is accurate. "I won't sell nor purchase on the new GameGavel or whatever its name is change to if prior agreements aren't honored. You would have been better off starting your own auction site from scratch." Modifying an agreement isn't honoring it. You didn't answer my question..."Are you saying you don't have access to any previous seller and buyer information?" You never said that you bought the Buyer & Seller database in any of them, unless I somehow missed it; you only said "we just bought the domain, logo, name, and Ip" which doesn't say you bought the databases. If you have gained access to the Seller & Buyer database and payment information, you are liable for what is done with it. The previous owner of GameGavel.com can also be held liable. The web site's traffic and standings in search engines are due in part to the people who bought those lifetime accounts. If you don't make money (a profit) somehow, you won't be in business long. Is it a non-profit organization? Even so you need to make enough money for operating expenses. I agree with GW & Flojomojo, but wish the OP luck in the competition. So here is my point again, your topic title says "Bought out GameGavel.com, need community input." If you buy something that in itself is a community forum, you have some obligations to the current members of that community legal or moral. You may not think you are responsible, but if you want to maintain and then build that community you need to honor and respect its base that helped get it as far as it has. My input: 1. Honor the Lifetime Seller Memberships for Fee Free Sales which were paid for. Don't implement any requirement to list by a required date or number of listings because you want all of the sellers you can get. More sellers = more items = more traffic,<- your stated goal "I want traffic. Is all I want." 2. Keep it an auction site. with a wide variety of just "games" (any kind or format of games, and game related, ex. disks, tapes, cartridges, systems, posters, board games) or your GameGavel name doesn't make sense. 3. Show buyer and feedback IDs and reject bids from the Seller's IP to promote buyer confidence that shill bids aren't allowed. 4. If like Craigslist you let people make contact directly with each-other then you might as well not have the GameGavel name because that isn't an auction.
  5. "we just bought the domain, logo, name, and Ip" Are you saying you don't have access to any previous seller and buyer information? I won't sell nor purchase on the new GameGavel or whatever its name is change to if prior agreements aren't honored. You would have been better off starting your own auction site from scratch.
  6. I always ask the seller to pack to prevent shipping damage and suggest the best way to do so for the specific item. So many sellers just ignore it and throw the items in a box or worse a bubble-lope then they slap a label on it and ship it. I even had an AA member take it personally and complained because I suggested proper packing for the items I bought even though I suggest proper packing methods to every seller. I've even sent extra $ for proper packing to prevent the hassle of damaged items. You never know and hurting their feelings is better than getting a rare item smashed to peaces because of poor packing.
  7. I was at the hospital or I would have voted for my own suggestion and it would still be a tie.
  8. Also.. The person who put the EPROMs into the PCB might have thought they were placing the EPROMs into a C015755 prototyping 8K EPROM PCB. The C015755 prototyping 8K EPROM PCB has the HI in the left socket (there is an H in the upper left corner of the C015755 PCB) and the LO in the right socket (there is an L in the upper right corner of the C015755 PCB). You have C015783 REV1 of the 8K EPROM PCB, the HI should be in the right socket and the LO in the left socket.

  10. It could be that the chips were taken from original ATARI ESD folders of the Master ROMs (Tempest had some of those folders) and put into the PCB for sale, but into the wrong sockets. Tempest, what do you think?
  11. What is the right price including shipping? Where are you shipping from? Send me a PM.
  12. Great to hear a 3rd run is possible! Thanks. I missed these 1st two runs and would hate to miss out on such a nice project.
  13. I'll take two cased please. If no-one drops out of this run, please put me on the next one.
  14. I have an 800XE now, but would like to buy a NIB or at least CIB one someday as well as PAL & SECAM 800XL NIB or at least CIB.
  15. I'll take two of the cartridge version when available.
  16. I totally agree. I have better use for my time than to waste it trying to convince C-64 users that A8's are better and don't need more competition buying parts and software.
  17. Thank you for preserving this and making it available to the community, hopefully it can be made fully functional.
  18. Please post the seller's info so that we can avoid them and no-one else gets abused by that seller. Does the drive work? Did they at least give you a partial refund?
  19. I received a brand new sealed boxed item from Venezuela that was no longer sealed after customs opened it. They can open anything they want and there is nothing you can do about it; which is bad for collectors of sealed items. I don't order from Venezuela anymore. One of the sellers sometimes ships items to an address in the US and then lists them from there, so I have bought from them, but I can't remember their name. FedEx gives Venezuela residents super low fees to ship to the USA, but if you need to return something when the seller ships the wrong or damaged item lookout the return fees are unreasonable!
  20. Just call me GRAVEDIGGER! I was wondering if anyone here saved a copy of the video linked above before it was delete?
  21. I'd prefer option 3 with jumpers to set the ID. Is it your intention that the expansion cards created be 100% compatible with the original 1090?
