  1. A new music disk with cool Graoumf tracker music has been released for Falcon. I think it's worth listening. Download @Pouet
  2. Composite is only partially true - all STs THAT HAVE THE RF MODULATOR do output a composite video signal. On others it can be wired up at the loss of color information....
  3. The original Atari driver is probably a bit dated. Why don't you try CBHD or even HDDriver?
  4. If it's a standard Falcon with 4MB RAM and antique 60MB harddisk, i'd say it is overpriced for 400$. 150-200€ is considered a a good price for this configuration here, around 250-300$ but definitly not 400. Bt demand drives prices up so if you can'T get i cheaper, you might get a good deal.
  5. Attackwave is a simple shooting game in the wake of Missile Command and Galaxians. Just blast the baddies from your orbital laser sat for highscore. * Code by Simon Sunnyboy / Paradize * Graphics by Malodix * Music by Marcer * Digi sound by Marcer & Simon Sunnyboy compatible with Atari ST/STE/TT/Falcon 030 Go grab it at the Paradize website at http://paradize.atari.org/ STay cool, STay Atari /|\
  6. I certainly forgot about this one! A very interesting read
  7. Many thanks for your support on behalf of the STOT organizers!
  8. If you happen to get a specification, please make sure to contact the Hatari development team (http://hatari.berlios.de/) so that the Hatari emulator can support PASI images too
  9. If you can live with an LCD TV, I can recommend the Samsung Syncmaster 2333HD. ST and Falcon do work here via RGB SCART or RF (antenna) input. The Falcon via VGA input too. Plain Composite Video does not work.
  10. Amiga Inc. developed the Amiga hardware as a video games console - and Commodore converted it into a complete computer after they bought them. It should have a place in there - hardly ever saw anything else than games running on Amigas
  11. The projet page: http://jeanfrancoisdelnero.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/index.html#USBFloppyemulator The pictures/videos page: http://jeanfrancoisdelnero.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/pictures/index.html#usb_hxc_floppy_emu_pictures Is this readonly - or can it write back to diskimages? If it can write back, I'd order probably 2.
  12. How long did you wait for the last disk magazine issue? Alive 14 has been ages away and no new version has been seen yet. Thorn, Christos and Simon Sunnyboy decided around Outline 2009 that the disk magazine concept should be transported over to a new platform and concept. We started the Low Res magazine in Web 2.0 style. It is a Wordpress based blog with the following ideas behind the magazine: releases more often, even if there are not 80 articles around cover anything from an Atarian point of view, games, demos, hardware, news a Blog system like Wordpress allows instant feedback via comments article submissions are way more easy readable even on your Atari ST with CAB or Highwire article reviewing and proof reading can be done online while chatting, Skyping etc (no sharing of article textfiles anymore) So here you go! At http://lowresmag.wordpress.com/ you can find the first issue of our magazine. We hope you enjoy the read and if you want to contribute with articles, reviews or anything Atari related, just go ahead and tell us! Low Res will need your active support - and keep in mind, if it's Atari related it is suited for the magazine, 8bit and Jaguar included. We appreciate your feedback!
  13. Well, I won't mind running English 1.04 Are those GAL chips in IDE interface for Mega STs about this additional decoding? Depends..some might incldue support for TOS 2.06 right away because TOS 2 is needed to boot froma n IDE drive. But absically it shoudld ecode onyl the IDE address range
  14. TOS 2.06 requires an entirely different address range than 1.x. Apart from physical problems fitting the chips, you will need additional decoder logic to run TOS 2.06 in a Mega ST.
  15. Jr for games on real cartridges, emulator too from time to time.
  16. I Think he Netusbee is a littel more complicated to build and I don't know too much about the Hydra. Is there a site for the Hydra? No site yet but discussion at Atari-Forum.com: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16785 djbase is working on it and he also posted prototype pictures yet. There is also a German discussion at atari-home.de: http://forum.atari-home.de/index.php?topic=5999.0 Basically a redesigned Netusbee with new PCB layout and no USB functionality.
  17. Why bother with the clumsy Ethernec when there are more compact solutions like the Hydra or the Netusbee available?
  18. I'm unsure but there will be 2 new designs coming out, one by djbase and one by someone else whose name I forgot. One will not have the USB host interface but will be a bit cheaper of course.
  19. Not exactly like Degas Elite but a very very decent pixel pusher program is grafx2: http://code.google.com/p/grafx2/ And it's free and multiplatform *EDIT* PLUS it loads and saves .PI1 and .PC1 files directly - perfectly to do pixels for the ST on your modern machine!
  20. I already got one for approx 160EUR. Very nice gadget indeed. However sofar Atari ST emulation is more of a "should be possible". In practice the available Castaway port is very very early alpha and doesn't run anything useful except the desktop, no proper sound, no anyway near halfdecent MFP interrupts. A laggy game of Rick Dangerous is possible but not really funny or enjoyable. OTOH C64, NES and PC Engine do work fine already
  21. Any news on this issue? I'd really like to run a few homebrew titles, esp Demos (http://pouet.net/prodlist.php?platform%5B%...p;x=18&y=11), on my real 2600jr.
  22. It is certainly possible, however it will chop away over 300K of your RAM so if you only have 1MB or less, it is not a good idea. If your machine has 4MB, it surely is an option and possible.
  23. Now that sounds interesting As I watched this floppy emulator in action at Outline (with Thorn's STE), I'd consideer to get one. It is a nice gadget for a games machine. I'd prefer a version with SDcard but let's see. @Mikro: If not for the UltraSatan but maybe for this one you will have me back as customer if you decide to sell them!
