Unfortunately, there isnt going to be an actual game...just the trailer spoof.

I decided that since these were copyrighted characters ('Family Guy' by FOX) I couldnt do much with it...so I decided instead to make my OWN animated tribute game, 'Retro Rescue' instead...I did a post here about that one as well....

[Animated Retro Tribute Game I'm Making...]

I'd definitely be interested.

 

ZYou might want to consider doing release of this for the Phillips CD-i. There've been a few homebrew releases already for it, and its small number ofreleases would likely make for an enthusiastic response from CD-i collectors

 

 

I LOVED the CD-i!

I actually paid 500.00 to own one, JUST so I could play 'Space Ace' (even built a cab for it, etc!)

 

My only probelm here is that I havent a CLUE as to hOW to make it playable on the CD-i, or ANY home syatem for that matter...I have a programmer thats doing all that for me (I had made previous animated game sequences with 'The Games Factory', and a minutes worth of animated gameplay took up about 50 MB on a harddrive...this programmer pal was able to redo what I had done himself, and got it all down to under 5 MB!)

[Animated Retro Tribute Game I'm Making...]

Greetings, All!

 

I'm new here...name is Kevin Karstens.

 

Wanted to see what interest (if any!) there might be amongst fellow retro game fans regarding a project Im workin' on...its called 'Retro Rescue', and it's a fully animated tribute game (in the tradition of 'Dragon's Lair' and 'Space Ace', etc) which also includes several in game 'mini game' tributes (once you complete an animation level, you must beat a small arcade tribute game, ie, a 'JOUST' themed game which features the animated characters on 'bird back', etc).

 

The game stars all original characters Ive created, based on my 'STARtoons' comic series (http://www.karcreat.com/ComicArt.html).

 

The main character you control, Nikki, must make it thru multiple animated levels to defeat The Retronator, a pint sized evil alien that wants to travel back in time to kidnap all the namesake characters from classic arcade games, thus destroying video game history.
