  1. Congrats on defeating Megamania. Now, send in your score to Twin Galaxies and get published in the Book of World Records!
  2. Simple... Just send your tax deductable donations... err, scores, to this station care of the Cadre Widow Fund. We'll send you a free case of Cadre Cola! o.k., enough movie "paraphrasing"... If you really want to submit your score, drop me a PM or e-mail and I'll getcha started.
  3. Cool! I look forward to your scores.
  4. Sweet! Once you achieve your "perfect" game, or even if you don't, please, by all means, register with TG and submit your score!
  5. I have removed the offending scores for California Games and will submit a request to our DBA to have the tracks themselves ("Hackey Sack" & "Skating") removed from the dBase. Thanks again for the heads-up!
  6. Unfortunately, no. At this time, our dBase is very limited in functionality. We are working on that, but it'll take some time. As for bug reports, the more the better. We have been working for 2+ years trying to squash as many as we can. But, as you have noticed, we miss a few from time to time. We ask that if anyone find a bug in the site or dBase to please let us know so we can fix it. Thanks for the feedback.
  7. First, there is 6 disciplines listed, when the game only has 4. Then, both the disciplines "Footbag" & "Hacky Sack", which in my eyes should refer to one and the same discipline, feature each a high score from Ron Corcoran. Now, if that wasn't strange enough having two different names for the same discipline, how can one and the same guy submit scores for each? Different scores BTW... ?!? Greetings, Manuel This is a problem from the import of Steve Knox's database into the TG database. Yes, we are well aware of SEVERAL issues and problems with the database. We are currently in the process of re-architecting the whole site to include the database, so please bear with us and our mess. Thanks,
  8. Yes, all iPAQs are back lit. Yes, it does drain the battery, but I have been able to go 2 days without recharging the battery with the backlight running...
  9. Doug: Visit http://www.snipercade.com/twingal/staff.html and send me an e-mail. I will give you all the details and forms necessary to get into the book of world records.
  10. For "other" platforms, I am a fan of the Vectrex version.
  11. I run Pocket VCS and Pocket Coleco on my iPAQ. I have about 200 games on the CF card and it works great (considering). I also use a Hanaho QPad (http://www.hanaho.com/products/QPad/index.html) due to the controller issues with the iPAQ. Only think lacking is a joystick... Me and D-Pads just don't get along for some reason.
  12. We're not worthy! Thanks a load for this gem. I hate having to dig around to find a manual...
  13. According to David Crane in his interview on RetroGaming Radio... NEVER STOP MOVING!
  14. I must still be a dork because I think the T-Shirt with the game name and score was a cool idea!
  15. Here are the recognized (read as verified) best scores for Kaboom!: Difficulty "B" - Large Bucket (Default) http://www.twingalaxies.com/cgi-perl/searc...latformSelect=5 Difficulty "A" - Small Bucket (Tournament) http://www.twingalaxies.com/cgi-perl/searc...latformSelect=5
  16. That did it. Thanks! Now I can see what changes have been made for the 7800 too.
  17. Is anyone else having difficulties getting MESS 0.61? When I visit http://mess.emuverse.com/download.html or http://www.mess.org/download.html and try to download http://www.retrogames.com/mess/mess061b.zip I get the following error: "ERROR The requested URL could not be retrieved -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.retrogames.com/mess/mess061b.zip The following error was encountered: Off-network linking to images and downloads is not permitted. Other sites are encouraged to link to the main page, rather than the downloads themselves. Please contact the webmaster of the site which provided this link so they may correct the error." Any ideas?
  18. Private Eye, Boxing, Bowling, and so on...
  19. Driving home Friday, I had two folks in an SUV pull up along side of me and give a thumbs up and say they loved my license tag. Gotta love the fact that people (besides those of us here) still know what Atari is.
  20. Yep, you knew this was coming... http://www.twingalaxies.com/cgi-perl/searc...latformSelect=5 Enjoy!
  21. I have both manuals and can photocopy them for you. Message me with your mailing addy and I'll make it happen.
  22. Sorry for the lack of response to this. I apologize to all concerned. O.K., here is the deal. As far as CGE is concerned, we were all swamped (Todd ran the 4 Atari 2600 events, Brien King ran the CV tournament and I ran the Robotron event as well as the TG booth). Due to the hectic tournament schedule, Todd was unable to give a "public" demonstration, however, he did have time after the show Sunday and was able to accomplish 32.50 which we did capture on VHS. I hope this answers some questions and finally puts to rest the Barnstorming issue. If not, let me know and we can talk more about it.
  23. Actually, it's a lot harder than one might imagine... I have tried looking (in phone books, the web, etc.) for years and have only been able to track down 4 of the 40+ names I have. Guess I'll just have to keep trying.
  24. You know, I thought that too seeing as Pheonix (Maricopa county) has over 3M residents now... you owe it to yourself to at least check and see if it's available... what can it hurt?
