  1. The 2600 due to the sheer number of games, followed by the Lynx (portability).
  2. I'll chime in with Galaga. Galaxian was a great game, but for me, Galaga will always be the superior game. Ron
  3. GAMES THAT WORK BEST WITH THE 5200 PADDLE: GORF KABOOM MOON PATROL SUPER-BREAKOUT GAMES THAT WORK GREAT, BUT ARE TRICKY: DECATHLON TRACK AND FIELD (prototype) GAMES YOU’D THINK WOULD WORK BETTER WITH A PADDLE, BUT DON'T... AE (prototype) BEAMRIDER (really, really bad) GYRUSS (works ok, but the control is weird, This information gleened from Charles Guinn's site.
  4. MattyXB: I put together most of the Master Media Lists for Brien's Cart Commander. I must apologize for creating the lists from an NTSC perspective. If I can find some extra time, I can add PAL entries to the list and ask Brien to post the update to his site.
  5. VSS is great (tips hat to Dan), but you may also want to try Atari800Win 3.0 and/or MESS. Food for thought.
  6. Cassidy: Winston-Salem, NC? Cool. My wife and daughter used to live in Kernersville while I was stationed at Ft. Bragg. O.K., All of the prices you list are pretty much on par with what dealers out here in Phoenix are asking for their cabs. I bought a Ms. Pac in very good condition for $500 last year. I also picked up a Tron in excellent condition for $650, Bosco in very good condition for $350 and a Gorf in pristine condition for $650.
  7. If it is STUN Runner, time to get a Lynx...
  8. Jesse: Your score is posted... as for getting snippy... not really... Walter and Robert simply stated they would like VHS proof of your next effort to help serve as INDISPUTABLE proof of your accomplishment. With a photo, which can easily be altered, there is too much room for dispute. If we had a VHS recording, there is no room for dispute. This serves two purposes; 1, it ensures the integrity of the scoreboard and 2, it preserves your score as the qualified, verified, world record.
  9. Thomas: If you send me copies or prints, I will make sure your scores get posted to the database and published in the book. You'll need to hurry though as there is only 1.5 months remaining until the book goes to the printers. Ron
  10. Super special? no. I think it's all about what MattyXB said... It's really a matter of personal preference and relevence. twit also makes a good point about the lore. Atari did offer nice prizes and big bucks for the contests on these three titles. The fact that they fell thru on it only adds to that lore. Just my $0.02 Ron
  11. I have started a few new auctions on eBay for some of the rarer carts I own. If you're interested, check these out. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/ebayisapi.dll?V...item=1285158118 http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/ebayisapi.dll?V...item=1285164370 http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/ebayisapi.dll?V...item=1285170902 http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/ebayisapi.dll?V...item=1285173288 Also, I am selling ALL dupes I have for the 2600, 5200, Coleco, Intellivision, Commodore (VIC-20, C64, 128 & Amiga), SMS, TI-99 4/A, and many more. I am also going to sell several classic systems including a complete Atari 800, Atari ST 520, Amiga 500 w/1MB Agnus, etc. Why? I got layed off from my job and this stuff has to go. If you're interested in exact details of what I have, and you want a crack at these before they get posted to eBay, e-mail me soon. Thanks, Ron
  12. Head on over to http://www.snipercade.com/twingal/a7800deca.htm to check out the latest standings.
  13. Mitch: Thanks for the help on url's and this board. Vinnie: I don't choose the games. I post the idea on my site and the TG site and allow players to vote for the games they want to play.
  14. For those interested, I will be hosting an official Twin Galaxies event off my website (http://www.snipercade.com/twingal). Come by, check out the games and register. Why not? It's free! Besides, by competing, you'll get into the TG Book of World Records.
  15. I met Igor at CGE and ran a tournament for him in the name of Twin Galaxies on his game. Most of the players who participated, 26, said it was a good game. It is very easy at first but does get much harder after you get to the third level of 8. I personally purchased a copy from Igor to show support for 2600 developers.
