What about Ms. Pacman?

Thomas: I am waiting for Todd to send me his tape so I can calc his score. He believes he's beaten your score. Time will tell...

Bummer... I threw it away as it was the metal shaft that snapped in half and there was no way to repair it. I tried several methods and it kept snapping when used. Ah well, guess I'll have to hit e-bay.

My Tac-2 snapped in half. What a bummer...

Which, BTW, is expressly forbidden under TG rules.

The only TG sanctioned Atari tournament occurs each year at the Classic Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, NV. You can find more info by going to http://www.cgexpo.com Click here for a list of events TG will run this year: http://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/viewtop...opic.php?t=1063 Additionally, there will be a JagFest event at CGE running along-side our TG events.
-
Bobafett: Be sure to send a copy of the TG Submission Form along with your tape. You may also want to send me an e-mail with a list of games you intend to submit scores for so I can give you any special rules, etc. The Submission Form can be found here: http://www.snipercade.com/twingal/bin/TG%2...Form%20v1.2.pdf Let me know if you have any questions or problems viewing the form. If you have questions about whom to send scores to for each platform, check out the following thread on the TG site: http://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=306

Todd will be at CGE this year running an Atari 2600 Decathlon - Javelin event for Twin Galaxies. He will also be helping me run the TG booth and will be available for chats, game discussions, etc. Greg: Check out Todd's site. E-Mail him. He's a great guy and is always willing to share tips, techniques, strategies, etc. with other gamers.

Congratulations go out to David Yancey for finally cracking Todd Rogers VCS Sky Jinks Game 1B world record of 34.73 with a stunning time of 34.71. Also of note, David submitted a tape for a max run on VCS Ghost Busters with a final score of 999,999. Congrats David, keep up the good work! Ahh yes, the beauty of Opera... no pop-ups.

Everytime I try to run the "Win32" version of Z26, I get a dialog box indicating the version and then nothing... This happens on My XP, Win2k and ME boxes. Very strange...
-
I just upgraded to 10.0a and I love it. Perhaps you'd be willing to share your config to run "DASM, Distella and Z26"? I'd also add CyberStella as it seems to behave better under Win2k.

I actually used PFE for several years and found it to be very useful. Recently, within the past 2 years, I made the switch to UltraEdit. Granted it's not freeware, but it is very powerful. In fact, one can very easily add 6502 opcodes to the "text highlighter" to make your VCS code more readable. I'm sure it too can be extended to allow compilation with DASM thru a CLI or perhaps embedded as an object, I just haven't taken the time to investigate that. Thanks one and all for the great feedback. This reaffirms why AA is such a great community.

Dennis: I was looking at these tools for a "cradle to grave" solution. Perhaps theses tools are not the right environment for VCS development methodology. Not a show stopper, merely pinging the experts to get some opinions.

Check with Charles "Voltman3" Guinn on the 5200 board. He hooked me up with a 5200 Paddle controller that rocks!

Sorry about the double post. I got a MySQL error and wasn't sure if it went thru.

This is very true. Activisions had several people having achieved the 6-9's mark. Most have not created a TG account to get their score into the Book of Records.
