  1. I've seen it on store shelves at EB, so its out...and yeah its 19.99. Most puzzle/adventure games like this are usually $20 on the Xbox, there aren't many of them, Syberia, Broken sword and one or two others.
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8198302872&rd=1 10 (dirt common and valueless) Xbox games, retail for "over $1000"??? Almost all of these titles are available for $5 (or less) if you shop around. And if you can make out the postage stamp-sized picture, he obviously lifted it from somewhere else, that looks like a lot of about 50 games. Oh, and $30 shipping, seller has private feedback. Yes, this is definitely a can't miss proposition! History : 0 bids
  3. No, I think they just have no idea about this kind of thing. The losing bidder had previously won this lot of "Atari" games : http://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...item=8195982875
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8197551772 Look at the full text of the second question that was asked. WTF? Looks like it got badly mangled by a translating program. Seriously, how can you even begin to comprehend that.
  5. Yeah how exactly do these sites work? You have to sign up for all kinds of stuff, and also refer other people to the site, or something...?
  6. Enter the Matrix was a big seller, though it was only for the first couple of weeks while the Matrix Reloaded was in theatres, sales slowed down after that. They are making another Matrix game, The Path of Neo, where you play as Neo and do all his battles from all 3 movies, so that's pretty much the Matrix game that people actually wanted, rather than playing as two minor characters. I've played Mission Impossible, its basically Splinter Cell lite, so if you enjoy stealth type games you should get your $10 worth out of it. Shooting security cameras, dodging laser tripwires, etc, all that fun stuff!
  7. Yeah this aired last year, they reviewed all the retro games like Intellivision Lives and Activision Anthology etc. They obviously had fun making it!
  8. Hmm Crimson Skies is a platinum hit, I don't think there's going to be any shortage of those anytime soon. The only Xbox game that gets big money (apart from Steel Battalion with the controller) is sealed Marvel vs Capcom 2, its starting to hit $90-$100 on the 'bay.
  9. Personally I think they've done quite well with the Bond licence. Goldeneye Rogue Agent was sort of a 'side project' that wasn't quite a Bond game, but yes it was silly using the Goldeneye name and then rushing the bug-laden game out of the door in time for the holidays. But Nightfire was a solid shooter, Everything or Nothing was a good multi-genre action game, and now they're bringing in Sean Connery for From Russia With Love, which sounds good to me! Let's face it, if Rare still had the Bond rights, we'd have been lucky to have seen even ONE new 007 title from them since Goldeneye.

  11. Ah yes, five minutes of gameplay followed by 30 minutes of cut scenes, good old MGS! This series is a dead horse. Splinter Cell kicks its ass on every conceivable level.
  12. 856684[/snapback] Let's hope Michael Jackson doesn't sign a game development deal. <rimshot>
  13. I dunno if a Killzone sequel is going to steal any hype away from Halo 3. But it'll be good for them to have a FPS out at launch anyway. I'm more interested in those Getaway 3 screenshots, they look gorgeous!
  14. Ok here's a bizarre little thrift anecdote for ya... Came across a stack of NES carts, some woman and her kid were looking at them, so I hovered nearby waiting to pounce when they were done. She was looking at each of the carts in turn, and was examining the contacts in detail. Before I could ask what this puzzling behavior was all about, she explained to her kid that she was looking to see if the "chips were missing", and apparently she had concluded that most of these carts were "bad", except for one that she bought. I'm assuming that she meant the 'strips' on the contacts, which look different on some NES carts, some have all the strips, some don't. But where would anyone come up with a bizarre theory like that, that this somehow had something to do with whether they'd work or not? And I'm betting she has a blinking NES that's the main problem anyway. And to add insult to her own injury, guess what the one cart she bought was? Yes, Super Mario/Duck Hunt. For FOUR bucks.
  15. What is this 'food' of which you speak? Xbox provides all the sustenance you need!
  16. What about Gamerush, the Blockbuster-owned videogame stores? They offer better trade-in values than anyone else out there (in fact they often give more than you can get on ebay), and they have great promotions like Trade in 3, get an extra $5 on each game, etc. Its still a relatively new store and they're slowly expanding, but if they keep the great deals up, then Gamestop and its ilk will be truly, er, "owned", as the kids say.
  17. I always put "boxed" in the title when I have a cart and box only, but I make it clear in the auction description that there's no manual. Of course then you get people who don't actually read the text, or even better, win the auction and THEN ask you if it comes with the manual.
  18. Last night's ALIAS, Marshall was seen playing a game offscreen...Sloane comes in and interrupts him, with a "what are you doing?" glare, Marshall then holds up a 2600 joystick and Asteroids cartridge and says "You can't beat the classics!"
  19. Probably "all of the above" for me. Though funnily enough, I find it hard to justify waiting around a year hoping for a price drop when you can just spend the extra $50 and get it right now! I bought the Cube on release date, Xbox in the January after its release, and the PS2 I got last, about a year and a half after its release. As for the next gen, will definitely get Xbox 2 at launch, the Nintendo system I will wait for the AAA titles like Metroid and Zelda to be released, PS3 ehh, I don't think I will bother unless there's a killer exclusive or two
  20. http://www.mi6.co.uk/media/gallery/index.p...game&s=frwlgame Bunch of new screenshots. JETPACK!!!
  21. Yeah, it was ok - I wasn't thrilled with the auto-aiming in the gun battles, but not too bad of a game. I'm hoping for something big, hoping that someone will realize they HAVE to make a great game to tribute Connery. Funny you should mention the auto-aiming, it seems they're revamping that whole bit. Here's an article about what's going to be in the game : http://www.mi6.co.uk/sections/articles/gam...game&s=frwlgame
  22. Not necessarily...if they put out a Bond game starring some generic-looking Bond character, it wouldn't be very appealing. It didn't matter for "Agent under fire" because it was first person view. But with a third person game based on From Russia With Love, you either get Connery or you don't make the game at all. Yes, having Connery involved will sell some copies, and we all know Sean Connery isn't a gamer, they offered him a lot of dough to stand in a booth for two days and say some lines, and he said yes. Still, I don't know why there's so much nay-saying about this, EoN was a cool game and I'm looking forward to this one too. I admit I don't follow what companies make what games so I don't know about this whole EA = suck business, I see I have some EA games in my collection, and I enjoyed most of them. Shrug.
  23. Did you play Everything or Nothing? That was a pretty good game, and they're using the same engine for FRWL. I'm looking forward to it too!
  24. Obscure handheld game system from Tiger that came out in the late 90s...it used a touch-screen stylus like the DS and had some palmpilot-ish features like an address book and calculator etc. Most of the games didn't play very well.
  25. Yeah they do seem to be coming out of the woodwork lately. I regularly get questions that could easily be answered by reading my 2 paragraph auction description. In the last few months I've gotten a neg and two neutrals, all of which were complaints about slow delivery times. They don't seem to understand that its the post office, not me, who does the actual delivery part. As a result, I've now stopped using media mail entirely. It's just not worth the constant "My game hasn't arrived yet!!!!" hassle.
