So... when can I order?
-
It actually is pretty precise, it's just that pulling off a move in a game isn't easy because you can't be quick enough. For example, in Mortal Kombat back, back, A is ridiculous because you have to quickly move your foot twice over the back panel and then use your hand over the A panel, and you just can't do that as fast as you can with a controller. I once did the first three acts of Sonic 2, and it was a nightmare.

I just saw this and had to look to see if there's a thread here. $100 for a 4-switch and 70 common games isn't bad as a retail price, but that sucks for them because they need to sell it for a profit.

Dumbest thing you've heard people say about games/systems
Rev. Rob replied to 4Ks's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Anyone who out and out hates on a relatively major game system and calls it completely worthless. -
I was just playing mine the other day. There aren't a lot of reviews on the web for it that are more than a paragraph long, and it doesn't even have it's own Wikipedia entry. So, I thought I'd write a review and share it with y'all. Sega Activator: Full Body Motion Controller Enjoy. (or not)

Awesome! Welcome to the club! It's cool that you have the rifle. Those are kind of pricey.

Ya, me too.

I didn't know where to put this, and I didn't find a previous thread on the topic. It's modern, yet it's retro... so who knows. Anyways, I finally got around to turning my E3 notes on the game into a preview, so here it is if you want to read it. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I Preview – Half the Hedgehog He Used to Be

Ya... For the win.

Rev. Rob replied to Albert's topic in Atari 2600
Nathan Allen made this awesome tribute to Halo 2600 and Red vs. Blue: I wonder if there's a series in there. -
FS: Fairchild System (Channel F) Multi-Cart, pre-order now.
Rev. Rob replied to e5frog's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I would really like one if it's still possible. -
Ya, where's the voting option for that? The only one I tried was Chao Adventure on the Dreamcast VMU.
-
I agree with all of these things, and I noticed that some dates were off too. Maybe we should make our own AtariAge video, and cut out the pongs, clones, and computers.
-
Really? Sonic & Knuckles was huge.
-
Do you have a carrying case or any of the '73 games for sale?
-
That's also shockingly good writing.
-
That was great, thanks! No way - it's fucking awesome!

Nevermind - found it. http://gamerblips.dailyradar.com/video/gametrailers_sonic_knuckles_mtv_sega_special_video/

Anyone have a video of that MTV Sonic & Knuckles Tournament? I remember watching that as a kid and thinking how much better I could do than the contestants.

You need to keep looking. After the Odyssey and before Odyssey^2 Magnavox decided they could make a lot more money by selling just units with built in games. There are like a dozen or so of these. You're looking for the original 1972 Odyssey. Unfortunately, there aren't any eBay auctions for one right now. Beware of robotkingnes a.k.a. sams_super_systems. He won most of the Odyssey auctions for the past few years and is selling them with BINs for way more than they usually go for. Wait for an actual auction to come up on eBay. A complete unit will set you back between $125 and $200 depending on the level of completeness, year, and condition.

I can't wait to see the outcome of this statement. What's wrong with Pitfall Mayan Adventure for 32X? I liked that one. Nothing's wrong with it. It's really subjective. I didn't like this game in the first place, and it generally gets bad reviews. But if you like it, that's cool. And I am not getting into a whole 32X vs. Jaguar debate. Last time I did I was temp-banned a few years ago. It's on there, number 18 in the "Not Crap." Seriously? I'll have to give a pass on Wall of Fire IV since I've never played it, although I'm sure it pales in comparison to the Saturn version. But I have issues with the rest. Doom - Crap. Not full screen, cruddy frame rate, no side facing monster graphics. Fred Couples - Looks mega grainy and digitized. It might play well though, I'll admit I've never tried it more than a few seconds. Metal Head - REALLY bad frame rate issues. Star Trek - Boring as all hell. Its not a bad game graphically, but it's a dull turd otherwise. Supreme Warrior - Hahahaha.... Sorry that's all I can say about that one, other than to add another Hahahaha... Spider-Man - Average at best. It might escape the crap list, but it's sure not a good game. I'd also take Zaxxon off the crap list. Not a great game, but not a crap game either. Still, to each his own I suppose. Tempest I went by other people's reviews for the 32X version of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV." Plus, it can't be much different than the SNES version, which was pretty good. DOOM - Not crap. It may not be the best port out there, but as a stand alone game it's fine, and it a lot of fun. Golf - This is surprisingly a good game, and I hate golf. I played through it once. Metal Head - I have never had frame rate issues with this game. It's kind of generic and easy, but I still have fun with it. Star Trek - Ya, it's boring. But it has a really good story and is definitely not for everyone. I am not a big fan of this kind of game, but the GameFAQs score is 7.2, so that's what I went with. Supreme Warrior - That was a major typo on my part. Definitely total crap. Spider-man - We agree. Zaxxon - I guess it's subjective. I hated this game, so I called it crap.

PCBs came in the mail today, and they're printed correctly this time. I'll be spending this weekend folding the boxes. Also, the Official Webpage is up.
