You really need to take another look at those libraries if you think that's true.

The Prettiest Looking Game System Ever!
Rev. Rob replied to 4Ks's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Genesis 3 is neat looking, but it's not so functional. -
I still make good finds at Goodwill and Savers. I came across a "Miracle Piano" at a Goodwill. Since I already had one I posted the location on this board. I've found numerous CIB NES games, like The Legend of Zelda. I even picked up an official Xbox 360 controller for less than $5. At Savers I found a 7800 for $9.99. Last time I was there they had a lose Gamecube for $20, but that seemed like a lot for no controller or cables. However, I did score a bunch of ColecoVision games.

$15 is a good deal considering how much they go for. I am going to say they're extremely durable. I got lucky and found one on eBay with a $19.99 BIN within a few minutes of its listing. The guy, who obviously had no idea what it's worth in the first place, shipped it in just a bubble envelope. I fully expected it to not work, but it survived just fine. It's my primary Genesis now. I only switch to the classic when I want to play a 32X game.

Dude... Mass Effect.
-
I use a d-pad all the time for 2600 games thanks to my lovely Genesis controllers.

No, Dark Wizard was really good.

I got an email from the company acknowledging their mistake and that they'll UPS me the corrected PCBs on Monday, so they should be here Tuesday. I'll post a nice pic when I get them.

The Prettiest Looking Game System Ever!
Rev. Rob replied to 4Ks's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The new Xbox 360 is pretty damn sexy. Sega did some pretty hot Dreamcast special editions: But I think the gold and diamond Game Boy may just crush it: But NOTHING is sexier than a DIVERS Dreamcast: "It makes me hard, when I'm all soft inside..." -
I had to order in even numbers, so I do have an extra one. I was going to eBay it, but it's yours if you want.
-
Just an update. The PCBs came last week, but were printed backwards, making them unusable. The company is going to reprint them. I sent the bad batch back to them yesterday.

Move and Kinect the modern Sega CD/32X…
Rev. Rob replied to Sonic R's topic in Modern Console Discussion
If you want to use the Sega model, then the 6-button controller was successful. For Nintendo the expansion pack and rumble pack were both successful with N64. And if they decided to pack these things into consoles, then it shouldn't be a problem. -
What game have you spent the most time with?
Rev. Rob replied to TwinChargers's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I've spend tons of time on these games: Halo Ms. Pac Man Sonic 3 & Knuckles DOOM Missile Command Off the Wall Time Pilot '84 -
Arcadia 2001? Pretty much. I have this one in my collection, along with a number of games, and I usually forget that I own one.

That much is obvious by the fact that he calls the PS3 proto more ergonomic, although he's clearly never used one, and it was never released. -
DO IT! Let us know how it goes. I am going to!

Heh yeah I meant Ebert lol! Yeah I heard about the apology I was just having fun. It's still half assed. Edit: And I am going to try an Activator in my 2600.

is/was sega a shadow of atari
Rev. Rob replied to carmel_andrews's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Not similar at all. Gulf & Western wasn't so much a media company as it was a huge conglomerate. Also, unlike after the Warner take over of Atari, Sega's directors stayed in the company and Sega's brightest days were ahead of it. Atari burned out just a few years later. Sega made it through the crash with flying colors. Even then, it was the buyout by CSK that really took Sega to the next level. Are you speaking of the SC-3000? The SMS is not really based on the SC-3000. In fact, the SC-3000 is based on the Sega SG-1000 II console. The SG-1000 through the SMS is nothing more than a gradual evolution of Sega's hardware. Further, as you pointed out the SMS is regarded as a success, whereas the 5200 was a failure. This is the one that really made me respond to this, because you're just smoking crack here. Sega did not poorly support the Dreamcast. Dreamcast had the best first party support of any console in the past decade, by far. Sega cranked out amazing games that sold well and were critically acclaimed. I am not looking at numbers here, but I've got a $20 that says Crazy Taxi alone sold more copies than all Jaguar games combined. Fuck dude, 9.9.99 set the world record for the largest media launch in history. The JTS sell is not at all like Sega's merger to Sammy. First of all, JTS bought a rotting carcass of what was left of Atari. They did nothing with it. Sammy, at the time, was an active video game company. Sega is still operating as a video game company. So tell me, what are you talking about? Flat wrong. Sega exited the home console business before merging with Sammy. Just a really bad post overall. You forgot to bring the sense. -
Was there a great game developed for a console that you love/d playing? Did you make a connection and have fond memories of that console? Then it has a soul. The only console that I can imagine being soulless are ones that little or no development effort was put into. In my mind that's the Video Information System and CD-i. I am sure there are some others that I'm not thinking of, but a lot of the consoles being ripped on here, Channel-F, Astrocade, Xbox, 32X et cetera, are fantastic consoles with amazing games, and were groundbreaking in many ways. There's definitely charm and soul living in almost any game console.

Idiots. This is bad writing in general. "The NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and Famicom (as it was referred to in Japan)..." Well, it's not "and" anything, and further it isn't "referred to" Famicom in Japan, it's named Famicom. I could go on, but I'll stop there. -
Okay, I made the order today. Those who did not pay will not receive a copy. This will most definitely be the final run for Odball. Some of your numbers may change due to people who didn't pay. This is because I'll be making less. I know that some of you requested specific numbers, so I'll try to work around that. However, I don't want to issue a number that's higher than the actual number of existing units. As soon as I get the order, which should be next week, I'll make the boxes. Those who paid should have their copies some time in August, if not sooner.

Best of these 3? (dreamcast, ps1, n64)
Rev. Rob replied to super_dos_man's topic in Classic Console Discussion
A whole lot. -
A tired, empty Net meme is all you can contribute? Just my show of support to video for owning your ass. The Halo style was particularly fitting, I thought. So, now we can add name calling to the list of your offenses in this thread, right along with lying and insanity.

Dude, it seems like you're already in bed with the PSP Go, so why did you ask us? There was no way in hell anyone was going to say that PSP Go is a better deal because it's a virtual console. We're classic gamers, we like to actually own our games, CIB.
