Bally Videocade, Astrocade, et cetera
Rev. Rob replied to Rev. Rob's topic in Bally Arcade/Astrocade
I saw that. I printed some up and I'm going to program them. I was wondering if there are any really great retail games that I am missing out on. -
Loved it. Both games were great, especially Shenmue II. I still hope against hope that it will get "finished." That sounds like an isolated incident.

I just purchased a Bally Videocade. The title permutation is "Bally Computer System." First, I am very impressed with this little system. It's very innovative, I love the controllers, and a lot of the games are pretty unique, which I like. So, I have about eight games, and I am wondering what some of the "must haves" are. Here's my list: Bally Basic 2002 Sea Wolf and Bombardier 2011 Galactic Invasion 2018 Solar Conqueror 3005 Bally Pin Elementary Math and Bingo Math 2019 Cosmic Raiders 2004 Clowns and Brickyard2017 The Incredible Wizard 2012 Space Fortress So, what should I set out to buy next?

Sonic & Knuckles never came in the plastic box. It was one of the earliest cardboard boxed games.

Well, first off, games based off of disc technology, (CD-rom, GD-rom, DVD-rom, Blu-ray), are called images or ISO files, not roms. Second, I don't think that this forum supports piracy. You can buy legitimate games from Nuon Dome's website and off of eBay, Amazon, and Half.com. Good luck!

What video game systems do you own? - READ BEFORE ANSWERING.
Rev. Rob replied to Rhindle The Red's topic in Poll Forum
The only non-clone system that I own which was missing from this list was the View-Master InteractiveVision. -

What's the most I should pay for these systems?
Rev. Rob replied to Ace_1's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Can you take it back? Hell, no, I ain't doing that! This is the only Sega CD I have seen in Montreal and I'm not about to take it back. Come to think of it, the system's actual price was $160, but add in $20 in taxes, comes out to $180. Dude, you could've taken it back and bought the same system on eBay for half the price, even after shipping. You got screwed. -
What classic gaming system do you take on trips?
Rev. Rob replied to jboypacman's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The only one I ever take on trips is the Microvision because it's a handheld. I am going to New York soon, so that and my Game Gear will be making the flight. -

Here's a slightly bigger picture: http://www.consolecity.com/games/action-ga...e_id-20444.html -
http://www.azcentral.com/ent/pop/articles/...eogame0214.html On loan will be my Magnavox Odyssey and the extra 1972 games and Shooting Gallery pack. Fairchild Channel F and a few games (1-5 and 16). Vextrex and two games (Armor... Attack and Solar Quest). They didn't want my Microvision or RCA Studio II. I wouldn't even have missed the Studio II! Since it's until September, those consoles will be missed. I have a Vectrex game in the mail that I won't even get to play! Still, it's pretty cool that a bunch of my stuff will be on display in a museum.

Rev. Rob was saying it feels loose( the cart connector) so he may have to grab a magnifying glass and re-solder a few joints. Again, it is also good to check the screws that hold the cart slot down on the mother board. I did check the screws, they're tight. No way am I soldering anything.

Okay, so this problem is just getting worse, and is still embarrassing. I just bought Iron Soldier and was showing it to one of my buddies, and not only did I have to deal with RSOD multiple times to get the game to start, but about five minutes into it someone came into the room, and when the door shut, it was enough of a vibration to freeze the Jaguar. Even my front loader NES wasn't this unreliable. In fact, I doubt there was ever a cartridge based console that is as unreliable as Jaguar. So, here's the question: Is there any way to tighten this cart slot up? I have searched, but have found no documentation. Thanks in advance!

What do you think that was the biggest loss?
Rev. Rob replied to AtticGamer's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I would say SEGA, but I guess that they're technically still around. Atari is an easy pick. Once it was given up by Nolan Bushnell, it was pretty much a loss. I mean, we could've had the 7800 in 1984. The NES could have been an Atari system. I'll go with GCE. It would've been great to see the Vectrex II released. -
Sure. There are tons for SEGA, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Vectrex, Game Park, and a few others. I even visit one for NUON.

Probe was owned by Acclaim. I think that's enough said. -
What is the name of the font type used in the original Magnavox Odyssey game boxes for the game title. Anyone know it? Thanks!

My New Channel F Time Line w/Documentation
Rev. Rob replied to FND's topic in Classic Console Discussion
That would be great, I hope you have someting its been awhile since I found anything and I need a fix real bad I have more stuff but at quick glance these two jump out as interesting... THey are for a company called Microtronix that sold Fairchild stuff. Whats interesting is if you look they have the keyboard controller listed for sell at 9.95 each and 22-24 games are listed as K-1, K-2, K-3 so it seems that originally those games should have used the rumored keyboard controller. Did anyone else notice "Space Odyssey" in the fourth photograph? I suspect it became Galactic Space Wars, but that screen illustration doesn't look like it. An unreleased game, perchance? Ya, it's clearly Galactic Space war. just be reading the description alone.
