  1. Actually it would have to be 2 people otherwise it would be just above the 2nd highest bid. Someone is definiatly screwing around here.
  2. The best that I know of is AtariAge. But seriously I don't know of any but would be interested in finding out also.
  3. The CDR idea isn't a bad one, it may save you from buying games for a faulty system. One note though is that the FZ-1 can be a bit touchy w/ some CDRs for some reason. My FZ-1 will only play about 50% of the CDR discs my FZ-10 will play so you may want to try a couple before giving up.
  4. I ended up voting for toobin, only because I really liked that game and haven't found it anywhere else yet. Tempest would be a better game but I hate playing tempest like games on a d-pad. It really needs the spinner or at least an analog joystick.
  5. Multiplayer is really the only way I like Robo-squash. Warbirds would get my vote for best comlynxed although the others are great also.
  6. Are you talking about this game? Overkill It looks to be more recent than 1990 though so I'm guessing it's the wrong one. I'm thinking it may be this one you are looking for Channel 1 games
  7. From the title I was almost expecting an 80's porn movie
  8. All of the above although I'm guessing "care for the seller" is the least.
  9. Possibly, but I doubt it since the insurance is $5.00.
  10. pelikonepeijoonit has a decent comparison list of US & European releases. I have not checked to see how complete it is but it seems to be fairly extensive. Commercial releases only.
  11. One of the catches w/ Eye of the Beholder is that it was recently re-released on the GBA. A while back I was actually talking to Harry about getting a copy and he sounded as if he was willing to do it right up until Nintendo announced their release of it. With all the lawsuits that were going on from them right about then he backed out and I understand why.
  12. This would probably be better placed in Auction Central but yes there are many people here who do report auctions such as this.
  13. Shipping to Ohio is only $3.57 so I'm guessing he's thinking that he's selling each one for the price listed. I'd bid but it's not worth the retalitory neg for me.
  14. It would look good on one of your tables at a show.
  15. If they're real the price isn't too bad yet ($281) but if not someone is getting burned.
  16. I like how 90% of his responses are "buyer had us confused with another seller." and "incorrect address". This guy must get a lot of incorrect addresses. And how do you get so many people to mistake you for someone else?
  17. It does answer one question I've had for awhile which was "when did pac-man get a nose?" Apparently around 88.
  18. You know I love my copy but if it keeps up like this I might have to think about ebaying it and I never get rid of anything.
  19. Grats. I absolutly love my 3DOs. If you're interested you can burn CD-R copies of the games until you get some. The FZ-1 (front loader) is a bit more picky than the FZ-10 (top loader). Not sure about the Goldstar version. I have one but haven't hooked it up to even test it yet.
  20. If you do do it let us know how well it works. I'd be interested in trying this myself on one of my spares if the video improvement is any good.
  21. Raiden is extremely difficult and would get my vote as the most difficult that I've played. I'm sure I've mentioned this before but the secret to Batman is to just run past everything until you get to the bosses. I couldn't get anywhere in this game but my 10yo son played it the first time and went straight to the boss. Silly me for thinking you actually had to fight the bad guys
  22. Oops, forgot to mention that Nick (16/32) is also a member here
  23. I've heard this on and off through the years but have yet heard of any evidence that CD-Rs can actually damage a laser in a CD reader. It may burn out the head motor but not actually damage the laser or reciever itself. When using CD-Rs on my 3DO, CDX, or Dreamcast I do notice that it has to retrack quite a bit but they do read them. They retrack about as much as a scratched up original. The retracking causes the motor to be used more but not to a point that I'm really worried about them burning up and I've been doing it for years now. As far as reading CD-Rs many of the older machines require "thicker" media to be properly read. These are usually your 2-4x rated CDRs. You also want to burn them at that rate to make sure they are done properly. My 3DO refuses to read any CD-R over 8x (the FZ-1, my FZ-10 will read about anything). The same may be applicable to the TurboDuo or Turbo CD reader. The slower discs are getting harder to find but when found they are usually very cheap.
  24. I figured it wasn't because most vintage shirts & logos didn't like to show blocky graphics. Usually the ship/creature/player would be replaced w/ a drawn graphic that looked much better.
