  1. Hi folks, just a little thought, as I am not owning a highscore cart... *IF* you would power the cart with an external battery, switch the 7800 off and eject the cart, wouldn´t it, if back inserted, start at the same point you have been when ejecting it? If *YES*, then it would be pretty easy to built such a savegame-adaptor. Just a thought. Best regards, Christian
  2. Mr. Big is a trash dealer. He cheated you twice: First he kidnapped your dog and then he makes money out of your bad situation.
  3. Very nice game! I got mine today and... wow... unfortunately I have to go to sleep now before nightshift, but when it ends, I´ll start playing

    Happy end?

Okay, then I can tell you sth about the end of scrapyard dog. As far as I remember (it has been years since I did finish it), when you finish the puzzle you see the face of mr big: the guy who did sell you all the goodies during the game. Then the motor saw stops and you get a daily bugle headline "scrap´s saved!" with a nice picture. I like it very much. My goal would be to film every 7800 ending and release it somewhere, but I have no videorecorder at the moment... I also think that lack of endings is a big disadvantage for the system... Btw. does ms pacman end? As I really like those cartoon sequenzes... I mean, I really love the old arcade games, but it´s a good feeling when you solve a game... Fight Night btw, also has an "ending" - winning the title belt. Is there sth special if you finish the most difficult tracks in motor psycho and pole position 2? I would like to see the end of karateka as I like that princes babe very much... dream of my youth

    Happy end?

Hello, I was wondering which 7800 games have an ending. I mean is there a wave 1000000 in Asteroids, or will there ever be peace in centipede? Even Dark chambers seems to have no ending... playing it through from a to z in expert mode made my friend and me switch off the console Scrapyard Dog for example has a nice ending IMO... Best regards, Chris
  6. Definately a jump and run... Sonic... then a nice beat em up like black belt and a funny game like dynamite ducks
  7. The game looks great, yet. As I like it on my emulator, I´ll love a cart
  8. Damn cool, I ordered right now... santa simon would also interest me
  9. Not true... one event of Summer Games crashes and Midnight Mutants locks up immediately. Touchdown Football and Ninja Golf suffer such severe graphical interference to render them unplayable too. Okay, that´s right... for Summer Games I cannot speak, as long as I do not own it, yet Midnight Mutants exists as a PAL version, same with Ninja Golf... I am sorry that I was missunderstood... I meant it´s the only one I know from the NTSC games not existing for PAL... Water Ski runs fine, e.g. (I really like 2 players on one joypad...)
  10. Hello Mitch! I got my cart! Very special thanks! For all PAL users: IT WON´T RUN... beside Robotron (and some disciplines of wintergames) it´s the only NTSC game what doesn´t run on our machines... if you press RESET while powering on, you´ll at least see some gfx of the levels... a PAL version would be great, but at least I hope to get a NTSC machine soon... cheers, Chris
  11. Hi, I am looking for a ntsc 7800 console (best one of the first ones with expansion port), so that I finally can play missing in action... and the following games: Rampage, Pete Rose Baseball, Summer Games, Tank Command. Paypal payment would be great and shipping is to Germany. Please email or pm me! Chris
  12. I see what you mean, but don´t underestimate the hobby programmers... in the 16/32-bit Atari community there are also a few releases of games never expected to be possible on these machines (wolf3d on a plain st, quake on falcon060, doom for 030 falcon)... The 7800 homebrew section is still having baby´s shoes on their feet, but it´s growing... And if enough people are interested in a sf2 version, I am sure someone will programm it in the future...
  13. Hi, I think that street fighter can be done. If you look at fight night, it has nice, big characters. If someone could do a hack, so that the player could use the special moves, and/or change the player sprites and draw some nice backgrounds, we could have a really nice sf clone... Just a thought...
  14. Hello, did anyone complete the PAL version of Planet Smashers? I finished it today in easy mode and the last mothership looks crappy. The screen is choppy, but game stays "playable". The ending then looks alright. It looks like some NTSC games put in a PAL console... Best regards, Chris
  15. Hi ya, I forgot about Fight Night! Also very nice one on one fighting (boxing) game. Detailed cartoon style characters and two player simultanous. The computer players even do some special moves what I never found out for the player. Cheers, Chris
  16. Hi gambler: On the box they speak about 33 included games because your PAL 7800 has Asteroids de luxe built in I also have a 7800 with 32in1-2600 label version. Best regards, Chris
  17. Hi, my favorite one is Double Dragon. It has a nice soundtrack, excellent drawn levels and with 2players it´s real fun! Kung Fu Master is also nice, but not so detailed. If it counts, there´s Title Match- Pro Wrestling and Mat Mania Challenge. While the first is a nice little game, the 2nd is totally crap. But they are both more sports games then fighters. Basketbrawl is also some kind of martial Arts game mixed with Basketball. Really nice, one of my favorite games! There exists a prototype o Pit Fighter, too. I ordered MIA right now and am waiting for it so I cannot talk about it right now. CU, Chris
  18. Hello, I also would like to get a copy of beef drop! Who can help me? Best regards, Chris
