I like the description for Chopper Command. Game is Mint but label is poor. I am contacting ebay about him and see if they will suspend his account if it happens to be him bidding on his own item. Phil

I actually avoided this auction. I'd rather have original protos, than a bunch of chips of games already released. Phil

Report this person to ebay. If he is selling pirated games and you have proof, they will shut him down. Don't hesitate. Phil -
I just contacted ebay about this guy for a 2nd time and his new item. He'll be shut down before we know it. Let's keep an eye on him. Phil

Vectrex Service Manual possible fraud on EBAY
Philflound replied to MrRetroGamer's topic in Auction Central
Nobody answered my question as to where he got it. I went to the site and it was not available there. I'm assuming it would be available on other sites, but again, he took the time to print it, use his printer ink, punch it, and bind it, so to me he is earning his money. If you aren't satisfied that he didn't state it was a copy, ok, I can understand that. But people sell copies of things all the time, i.e. tv shows on video tapes. Phil -
Check out this auction. Never thought I'd see both of these

This is the guy that I spoke to on the phone. He sold the REAL Quadrun about a week ago. If you want a confirmation on his legitamacy, ask Ebay User ID: JIM_C since he won the Quadrun for $525.05. If he got his game and it was all good, then the guy is fine to bid with. Actually this person told me that he was selling off his Atari collection and that it contained alot of rare items. I'm waiting to see what he offers in the future. Phil -
Regardless, this is still a more common game. I've gotten this game a few times sealed and it didn't run me more than $5.00 each time. Though I don't have an extra one at this time. Phil

I think you people have too much time to post all those. Phil

Well, if you want to carry a guide, just contact Joe Santulli or Jerry Greiner. Both have great guides. Phil

I think the 2nd guy has the game, but stole the picture since he probably doesn't have a means to scan or take a pic. These are definitely the same photo though. It isn't a scratched label, it's a huge tear. If you guys think that's a scratch, I have many "SCRATCHED" games for sale at reasonable prices. Phil

Vectrex Service Manual possible fraud on EBAY
Philflound replied to MrRetroGamer's topic in Auction Central
Well I just tried getting the manual off the site you listed and it comes up page not found. So if he got it from here, how'd he do it? And, if it is a copy, he took the time to print it, punch it with square holes and bind it himself, so why can't he sell it? Phil -
I'm still trying to figure out what happens when he attempts to cash my check that I stopped payment on. I wonder if I get it back. Then maybe I will have his bank account info. Phil

Huge ColecoVision Collection on Ebay

Looks like Mr. Santulli wants this. Phil -
Cheap Dreamcast games are nice, but how about dirt cheap Game Gear. Some Toys R Us's near me have been blowing out their Game Gear games brand new sealed for just 99 cents. My buddy only picked me up 3 games, but I told him if he sees any other TRU blowing them out, just to buy every copy of everything they have. Phil

I picked up 2 Toshiba lap top computers today for $25.00 for both. Friend of my mom had the same one and she said she originally paid $1800. Talk about a deal. And yes, they both work. Phil

What's the rarest cart you ever found in the wild?
Philflound replied to Bob Mackey's topic in Atari 2600
I got a Glib in a buy of like 100 games for like $40.00. I also picked up a lot of games for about $25 that included a Crazy Climber. I also picked up a box of games that had most of the Atari Age magazines in the box and the Mindscape Record. The best though I ever got was 4 sealed Canadian Kid Vids called Sound 1 and 1 Sealed Kid Vid American for $75.00 each. I kept the american one and let my friend buy one of the sound 1 units for cost since he hooked me up with the guy. THe other 3 I traded for super rare games. I remember getting a Malagai and Texas Chainsaw for one of them. Phil -

Actually Amidar is a little high. People will pay higher for Star Wars, but those aren't necessarily game fans, they can be Star Wars fans and that is why they will usually fetch $10 and up. Amidar, maybe $5.00 as a starter. I can't see it selling more than a buck or two higher than that. Phil -
Can someone pick me up a copy of this game? I'll even pay $5.00 more for the trouble. Phil [email protected]

Does anyone ever remember this game? I remember playing this in the mid 80s at a local indian deli after coming home from high school. Better question is there any versions on the home systems. I remember having a copy on disk on the commie 64, but other than that, I've never seen this game. For all of you unfamiliar with this game, you are the hunchback running across the top of castle walls. I remember arrows or something coming at you horizontally. I also remember having to jump over empty holes, and holes where there were castle guards with spears that they lifted while you tried to jump. Definitely a timing game. I can't remember if you had a certain amount of time to finish the board or if it was just unlimited time and you just got killed. I do remember that you had to ring the bell after scrolling several screens to the right and avoiding all the obstacles. Ahhh.... memories. Phil

Demon Attack. At least it had the last board. At least I think it did. I have so many damn systems that I get confused sometimes. Phil

Looks like Cubanito321 was booted and his user ID is no longer registered. Hooray for Ebay again! Let's keep our eyes open for future scammers. Phil

Think you are a little high with your starting prices. No one will pay that high, especially the buy it nows. $40.00 BIN for a blue label Chopper Commmand? Crazy. Good luck to you if you can get anyone to get games from you. Phil -
When I owned my collectible store a few years back, I always had people come in and tell me they had these comics, or these cards, or these games... Anyway, one day this guy came in and said he wanted to move and told me he had every Marvel ever created up to 1985 or so. He had moved 4 times already and his wife said he couldn't take them along for a 5th trip. So, with a grain of salt, I told him I would call and set up an appointment. I went over there in late August. His wife came out with a portfolio, and though beat up, in my hands were Amazing Fantasy #15, FF #1, X-men #1, Avengers #1, Spidey #1, etc, etc. She said the rest were in the attic. I went to the attic, though over 100 degrees, he had these no bags no boards, in boxes and a filing cabinet. Sure enough, he had #2-up on every single title. So, the moral is, sometimes what people say is true. The lady may have those 100+ games. Hopefully she'll have at least 1 or 2 rare games like a Crazy Climber or Waterworld. Ask your wife to get the lady's phone number and call her in the morning before she leaves for work to bring it to you. As a reward for telling you this, please reserve me the best game in the lot. Good luck. Phil
