  1. I only ship internationally to Canada which can track 1st class postage and with the global shipping program. Been scammed internationally one time too many. I would probably consider AA members though who had good standings.
  2. Everything eventually breaks. Does that stop you from buying things? Cars, televisions, phones, furniture, video games... You buy items, you use items, they depreciate in value, you resell items at a major loss or throw them away if no value. Most Atari games stand the test of time, unless there were problems with the boards in the first place like those Playaround adult titles where many were dead, even brand new.
  3. My recommendation is play the emulators and get a feel for which games you find interesting and then go from there. Lots are the way to go and you should be able to pick up many games for under a buck each if you buy large lots. Expect to acquire some duplicates though.
  4. I'll be moving soon, so my stuff being sold on Ebay won't be available pretty much after the new year. Maybe a few extra days, up until 1/4 or 1/5 at best. I don't know when I will be back up and running and what will be accessible as I won't be taking everything with me the first trip around. So if you're interested in anything, even stuff that has completed with no sales, let me know. I just sold an Asteroids and Tempest patch and have some left. If you want the vintage patches, do a search when you're in my Ebay. Also have about 100 boxed Atari games still available. I'm planning on bringing all my video games with me first round so I can get them back up. Also planning on bringing tons of loose cartridges and systems I never got around to testing. I need more money for my move, so I'm willing to make deals, especially for AA members. So if you see items you want, PM me and hopefully we can come to an agreement. Going from NJ to FL is not going to be cheap and with all the stuff I own, I'll be making a few trips most likely over the next 2-3 months. Thanks for looking. 5. You collect what you want. Don't listen to anyone else. If you feel it is something to be added to your collection, add it. If you're hesitant on buying anything, then most likely you should pass unless it comes cheap along the way.
  6. I'm selling vintage Asteroids and Tempest patches. http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=patches&_ssn=gpdcomics&_armrs=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xpatch.TRS0&_nkw=patch&_sacat=0
  7. The Tengen ornament is probably not real. You can etch anything now with anything you want inside. I don't see any copyright on the Atari or anywhere else in the ornament. My guess is that if this was an official release, there would be copyright or registered marks on the item. Funny thing is that it is dated 1991. I guess people can just make these at the mall and sell them for a nice profit.
  8. Post office has been screwing up big time. I had a package go from NJ to PA where the buyer lives. Instead of delivering the item, they forwarded it to VA, then the buyer opened a case against me like it was my fault. It finally did get there. Now I have a screaming mom saying her 3 year old didn't get her stocking by today and that it is also my fault. She ordered it 12/17. I shipped it 12/18. It left NJ 12/19. 5 days and it's only going to MA. Shows no status update short of leaving the sorting facility. She wants a full refund. Says Ebay put 12/24 as expected delivery date. I told her Ebay can't dictate when a package can arrive, it's "estimated", she could have paid for priority since it went 1st class because I gave free shipping, and for her to call the post office and complain.
  9. Catalog with face is Activision: http://atariage.com/catalog_overview.php?CatalogID=39 Thing is always condition. Unless there is something rare in there, you're looking at no more than $1 each for comics and manuals. Catalogs if they are common will net 50 cents, maybe $1 if they are rarer. Someone may pay a couple of bucks for the Swordquest comic and poster.
  10. Is cleavage included? States polished pins. Wonder what was doing the polishing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Castlevania-II-Simons-Quest-Good-Nintendo-NES-NES-Video-Games-/262201360609?hash=item3d0c6b40e1:g:L0cAAOSw3KFWdzZG
  11. A Troll in a Roll. Sorry, don't have time to make a pic. Someone else can do the honors.
  12. Like you, I started collecting these games from my childhood 20 years ago. Like you, I paid next to nothing for the majority of items I own. The most I ever shelled out was $300 for a sealed Berenstain Bears. I did buy several Smurfs Saves the Day in Kid Vid sealed boxes for $70 each, all of which were traded except the one I own. I think the next highest item I paid was $50 for a loose Music Machine. Besides the protos I have, which I think I paid maybe $40-50 each if that, I don't think I paid more than $25 for any other game in my collection. And I do have some nice items. I figure all the rares that I don't own will eventually come my way via luck, via winning the lottery and I don't care what I pay, or I never own them at all. If I had gotten into this hobby in the past 10 years, I probably would not have gotten into this hobby at all. I still get good deals once in a while, usually with lots. I rarely buy individual games any more. I'd rather concentrate on acquiring games for other systems if they are more affordable. I personally would like to try and complete my Colecovision and Intellivision as I have at least 85% of each systems games. When I finally move and settle in to my new home (hopefully can own one by the end of next year), I'll sort through what I have and see if I can try and fill in the holes. Phil
  13. I don't agree with this. It's always about supply and demand and there are many dealers paying higher prices to try and establish a high market. If people would not support these prices, they would come down. That's why I always have patience. These vintage video games can't house me, feed me, or clothe me, so they don't run my life. Most collectors should take that stance and you'll see prices come down. Or you can always hope for a warehouse find to destroy the market on such "rare" items. You'll see games offered like a CIB Crazy Climber where someone is asking close to $1k, but then others are trying to get $400-500 for theirs and many times they still don't sell. If the seller needs the money, they'll come down on the price. If they don't, they can keep holding it until they eventually do find a buyer for the high price, or it collects dust. Eventually people pass away and the relatives most of the time don't care about such items and will just take whatever market demands. I told my wife a long time ago that if I go, to sell my 2600 collection for $10k. That's because I know I have enough good items in there to warrant such a price. If I had to sell it myself, I wouldn't take a penny less, or would just piece it out if I had the time and reap the rewards.
  14. Unless people stop supporting this stuff, it will keep on happening. I'm glad I own my CIB Espial already.
  15. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-2600-Fat-Albert-CIB-RARE-Tested-works-NTSC-/161914594151?hash=item25b2dca367:g:Ib0AAOSw8-tWaitl And another goes up for auction. This person hid the number, I guess so not to be identified.
  16. It's blurry, but anyone know what the 5th sesame street game was there? It may have been discussed before. Phil
  17. I actually never cared for the Arcade game, even in the arcade. The vector graphics didn't do it for me and flying into the trench was always a pain. I loved ESB and never owned the others when I was young until I started collecting the games in 1995. And yes, the Star Wars music in ESB is great.
  18. Hasn't been bumped in a while. 12 episodes are now available for those who want to see them. Phil https://www.youtube.com/user/TheVgaTV
  19. Everything should be tested to work. This will give you the best chance at the highest money. Sold as a lot, should bring at least $125, maybe up to $200. You get two crazies and it may go higher.
  20. I've been busy and could not think of who sang this song. It finally hit me yesterday so I'm putting it up. For the past 10 days, my sleeping habits have been horrible and I can't say any one song has been there when I woke up. So there are no entries from 12/1 to 12/10. This was the one on 11/30, so I"m posting it. I knew the song, couldn't find it when typing the title, until I remembered the band. It is Photograph by Def Leppard. Phil
  21. Pickup is a choice you can put on the auction listing. It's usually for large items like furniture, or cars. Maybe she put her default as pickup only in her sell page since she deals in cars.
  22. Asking and selling are two different things. This person has been asking this price for like 3 weeks now. As for my neighbor throwing stuff out, it's weird. Every Friday I get circulars to supermarkets and retail stores in a bag on my steps. They leave me 2 or 3, since it's a two family house. Within 2 days, one of the bags has been thrown away in the garbage between my and my neighbor's house. If they are still on the step by Monday, they will be in the trash that is picked up Monday evening. I'm assuming it is my neighbor. I guess trying to be friendly. I never physically saw them throw anything away off my step. But the Fat Albert package was sitting with the 2 bags of circulars. I was just worried it would have been tossed. I don't think they mean any harm, but maybe want to help me out. Phil
  23. Looks like Jinroh popped his copy off already. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fat-Albert-Atari-2600-/231733845368?hash=item35f469dd78:g:4ZMAAOSwo6lWMBE1
