Going international always takes time. I got my copy a week ago. Postman left it on my steps which I wasn't too pleased with, but at least I saw it before it got stolen or thrown out by my neighbor.

Her shipping said free pickup. The shill account picked up nothing. I don't doubt we'll see this again for auction from the 26 feedback account.

If they have another link in marketplace, then delete this one.

I was waiting for a cartoon song to appear. I love singing cartoons and this one was in my head when I got up this morning. Of course it's Snow White singing it. Have fun. Phil

It's not the point. I just bought a few items in a store near me that's been around since 1975. Knick knacks and small toys and such. The items she's had for 40 years has not been marked up and usually contains a massive amount of dust. I bought a few of these pieces to resell on Ebay. I do research to try and find out as much about these items as possible, including value. Some of the items I can't find anything, and will guess at a price to start the auction. I usually will sell fixed price if there are others being sold since there is an established market for it already. Auction I use for unknown prices, but will put a minimum that I want for the item and possibly work down from there if the item doesn't sell. I do take into account that if I have enough information to do a search and the item does not come up anywhere in my search, then said item is probably rare. It doesn't mean it's extremely valuable, but there are none on the market and maybe my copy will establish a price by auctioning. If I don't have enough info, I don't go and start making up stuff about the item in the hopes to fool someone into believing it is something it is not. Rosa tried to pull that. Research is key and it's much easier now a days with the internet at your fingertips. Phil

11/27/15 - Let's Go All the Way
Philflound commented on Philflound's blog entry in Song I Wake Up To
It actually crossed my mind Shawn when I saw the video. Many of the 80s songs I grew up with I got from the radio, not the tv. Even though most were probably on MTV, that channel lost its luster for me after a couple of years. Most of the time when listening to the radio, my friends and I were playing video games. Go figure. I was dreaming right before I woke up. I was talking to my aunt about when I used to be church organist and how the priest always said I played Silent Night too slow, so I was singing it in my dream fast. I told her that he probably wouldn't have been happy with the speed even if it was fast. Then I woke up. I haven't been church organist in 10 years. And everything I just mentioned is actually true. I used to play the song and have one of my choir members sing the first verse in German. It was extremely tough to get her to keep speed with me, which caused me to slow up. By the time we started the verses in English, I was always at a slower tempo and tried to increase the speed slowly to not throw off everyone. So today's song is Silent Night. I don't think I need to link this one as there are hundreds if not thousands of versions you can find on Youtube. Phil

Thanks. If I get time after New Years I'll take a look. The list at the top is going to grow when I finally get through manuals and start to post. Have to finish the rest of the 3rd party too.

Giant Label Variation PHOTO Website. Check it out!
Philflound replied to Philflound's topic in Atari 2600
Got delayed but finally finished the last 2 games for Apollo manuals, Space Cavern and Spacechase. So Apollo is finished completely unless someone can come up with any new variations for cart, manual, or box. I may be on hiatus for a couple of months completely if things work out for me. I'll keep everyone posted if I have to wait until after New Years to get back to work on the site. I just didn't want to leave the Apollo section incomplete. Phil -
Giant Label Variation PHOTO Website. Check it out!
Philflound replied to Philflound's topic in Atari 2600
I picked up variations for Superman box 5 and 6 today. Had to wait for a slight sale to grab them. I was trying to peel the labels off, but it seemed to create minor damage. I was looking for my Goo Gone, but can't find any, so what I'll do is scan the boxes as is, then pick up Goo Gone tomorrow or Sunday and if I can remove the labels safely, will take new scans of the back of the boxes. These are both white warranty background, one with copyright inside, the other copyright outside. I'll get these up within the next 1/2 hour. Phil -
I've been thinking about business, both brick and mortar and online. I had a nice discussion with a member here for the past couple of days going back and forth. I thought about why all these clueless people on Ebay get reamed for putting up auctions on subjects they have no idea about. They don't come first to knowledgeable people. I can say I usually see one or two newbies come on to AA per week. Many have questions about their "finds" in a basement, attic, closet, or cousin Tony gave them the items. Most of these newbies post they have "so and so" items. Then the usual response from members on here is "show photos". Usually said newbie takes some photos and posts them and the members clarify all questions about items found. It's a learning process. Many times relative prices are given on what they should expect to be realized on the online market. Rosa went about things all wrong. Rosa did no research. Rosa put up an item for auction as genuine without no real basis to back it up. Rosa was called out on it. Rosa got pissed and started cursing and threatening many members including our host himself. Rosa got banned. Of course, Rosa could have been trying to scam all along, but if Rosa would have done her homework, this whole thread may have looked a lot different. Phil

Just got the Superman boxes with the white warranty labels, one inside copyright and one outside copyright. Will be scanning and getting them up hopefully tonight. Finally was able to buy these at a slight discount as I don't need them for my personal collection and just wanted them to scan for the site. Once I get them up and test the cartridges, I'll put them on Ebay. Will try to recoup the money I spent since I don't have too much to play around with. Anyway, if you want to see the game boxes, check the site tomorrow.

Here is a song that I thought was always cool, though you'd have to listen to the words in the verses carefully to figure them out. The refrain is pretty easy, "Let's Go All the Way". This is by Sly Fox. If you grew up in the 80s, you'll probably remember this one. Phil

Can someone move this to marketplace forum?

This morning was Lucky Star by Madonna. With my brain trying to come up with that song from the other day, Madonna crossed my mind and I went searching through her songs to see if there was a faint possibility she sang that unknown song. This probably put Lucky Star in my head for today. Phil

I find this pathetic. Yes I agree with CPU that the person with the 26 fb is most likely a shill. Just look at all the bids.

Galaga? Or do you mean Galaxian? I look forward to seeing the pics.

This song is a religious one, written by my mentor and his brother. They have talent. Most of what my style of music was influenced was by him. There names are Jules and Marty Rotella. The band name at the time was called Tranquil Sun and this song was published in the mid-1980s. It is titles Trisagion. The piano introduction was extremely tough to learn to play, though I play by ear, so I had no sheet music. The first time I heard this song, I was lying in bed with my headphones and it was playing on a cassette recorder. The full introduction sent chills through me, especially when the strings kicked in. Anyway, I can't really link the song itself. If you do a search on CatholicJukebox.com under Rays of Love, which is the album and put Trisagion and Tranquil Sun, you can probably listen to the full song for free as they are a radio station for religious music. She keeps calling it a repo. I don't think this got repossessed, though based on her words, she may be possessed. It's sad how someone can pay over $1k for this, even in Aussie $$. Phil

Anyone having trouble with eBay bucks?
Philflound replied to GoldenWheels's topic in Auction Central
I don't think I ever earned Ebay bucks. Never used it. Have no idea what it's about. I think my brother mentioned one time he had used some, but I have no idea what he did to get them or use them. Good luck. Ebay India is not great customer service. Just signed up for the program since I wanted to see about it. It looks like under My Ebay, it shows up at the top left under the Buy pulldown menu under Didn't Win. Mine of course says Ebay Bucks (0.00) -
Not sure why, but I woke up 3 times this morning before I finally got up. All three times Philadelphia Freedom was going in my head again. Since this is a repeat song, I'm not going to link it again. Still working on yesterday's entry, which it's possible it was an early Madonna song, so I'm checking those to see. But the voice seems to have a slightly higher pitch than Madonna, though hers has changed over the years. Phil

Had this song in my head when I woke up. Thing is I have no idea what the song is or who sings it. The singer sounds similar to Brenda K Star, and no it isn't I Had a Dream. I can sing a bit of the refrain tune, but can't pinpoint the words. I tried goggling what I thought were the lyrics. No luck. It's definitely a female and I'm 99% certain it's from the 80s. It's also not These Dreams by Heart. If someone can come up with a female singer with a voice similar to Brenda K Star, then maybe it'll be her. Definitely not Debbie Gibson since she was one I was in love with. I'm testing Tiffany songs and see if they sound like it. Hope I hit the jackpot somewhere. Just listened to some Tiffany songs. One I'm trying to find is a little bit more tinny than Tiffany I think. Phil

happiestsellerever! using my personal image *WARNING*
Philflound replied to TomBrazil's topic in Auction Central
Happiest may have his watermark set up automatically. I remember when I had my store with my brother, the Ebay photo you see has your name watermarked over it, but if you try and save the picture I believe the watermark doesn't save, or maybe it's when you click on the photo to zoom in, the mark isn't there. I know there was some instance this happened because I complained to Ebay that what is the point of placing my watermark on the photo if someone can still get my photo without the watermark. With the amount of crap Happiest has for sale, he probably doesn't personally put the watermark, but has that program set up with his Ebay preferences. I agree with Ice though, I don't think you have a case of someone showing a picture of a page from a magazine to help their case of how rare the item is. They're not selling your picture, nor even the magazine itself. Phil
