Didn't realize who sang this when it was in my head this morning. Don't Talk to Strangers by Rick Springfield. Right after I got up This One's For You came back in my head and wouldn't leave, so I had to write the title of this song down before I forgot what was the song. Enjoy. Phil

That's the problem with Ebay and the anonymous bidders. No one can give them warnings. I remember back in the day I used to warn people about scam sellers all the time. Phil

Atari's Landfill Adventures, I now have the proof it's true.
Philflound replied to Spud's topic in Atari 2600
Well someone is reselling these things and if you look under "SOLD LISTINGS" you'll see that they're commanding $250+ on games. I think it's pretty stupid. I passed on them at $35. Didn't want some smelly crushed crap in my house. I have enough stuff as it is. Phil -
I woke up today with no song in my head. I did wake up a few times before and thought about some of the songs previously, but today was a bust. We'll see in the morning if anything comes. Phil

Philflound replied to toymailman's topic in Auction Central
Wish you would list more at one time. I bid on some things, but would like to combine shipping if there is more that I need. Phil -
Is that an Atari shirt he's wearing waving the panties in the air? HEHEHEH Phil

How come a lot getting into retro games skip Atari?
Philflound replied to totallyterrificpants's topic in Atari 2600
Can't say how much I love the vintage 1980s computer games too. Used to play my C64 all the time. When I finally move and get settled, I'll probably break out the old disks again. In the meantime, DOSBOX has me going on some vintage hits. I actually picked up Pool of Radiance 2 the other day. Though it's 2001, it's still sort of vintage and I had issues with it on my computer, which is now 5 years old. Had to manipulate some things and now it sort of runs right, but not completely. I wish I could play the old games the way they were meant. I don't know if I have some of my older computers. Will find out when I move and pack everything. I remember having a pong system before Atari. Probably 1976 or somewhere along those lines. Not sure what brand it was, since I was just 6 at that time. But it was fun. Though we were limited with time because of the screen burning and such I remember. -

I'm #54 and still nothing. I pm'd him and never heard back either. I was under the assumption all were going to be shipped at the same time.

Well, Shawn. That can work except when others post them on here. I can't tell you how many times I've seen listings posted by people who aren't the seller with the phrase "not mine" in the title or initial post. Phil

Al, I think you're confusing the poor boy. Phil

Ebay sucks in many ways. I can't tell you how many times I tried to sell a promo trading card of Penthouse Comix that shows NO nudity at all and have them remove it because of that. And of course if you call you're probably speaking to "John" from India. Phil

You better watch out or Rosa may try and get a lawsuit against you for slander if you keep calling her a scammer. Phil

Haven't thought too much of Barry Manilow lately as I don't usually play stations that would have his music, but This One's For You came into my head today. I always liked many Manilow songs. Phil https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qw1kBbs0bCc

Maybe spray Febreeze on a towel and throw it in there too. -
Mabel unboxed! (Mabel the Hedgehog)
Philflound commented on MegaManFan's blog entry in MegaManFan's Blog
I need to get this thing! Have no interest whatsoever in what it goes to, but my wife's name is Mabel. It's not a common name any longer. When we saw Gravity Falls for the first time, we had a laugh. So my search has begun. Phil -
Decided to explain further now that several days have passed and the idea popped into my mind. You may see a big variety and types of songs listed day after day. I was born in 1970 and when growing up as a boy in the 70s, I had a big influence of music based on what my mother used to purchase on 45s. They were usually the "hot" songs of the week along with country, which I'll listen to some but won't be my choice of radio stations. In this mix of course was the disco age, but not much rock and roll. Lots of upbeat tempos. In the 1980s when hitting my teenage years, Z100 was my thing and lots of pop, top 10 or 100 for the most part. My brother during the mid to later part of the decade became a metal head. So some heavier rock came into my life like Metallica, Ozzy, Pink Floyd (more mild), and Quiet Riot. Also throw in bands like Bon Jovi, Guns n Roses, and other bands where almost all the guys had long hair, but weren't the heavy rock. Never got into the death metal thing. In the 1990s, I went towards the classic rock. Mostly 60s and 70s, which is still what I like to listen to most of the time. The Who, Doors, Police, Beatles, AC/DC, Eagles, etc. I am a person who likes songs, usually not bands. Unless of course the band has a lot of songs I like. So add people like Elvis, Billy Joel, and Elton John. You may see some songs that don't fit into the categories above and are more modern. It won't be necessarily that I like the song, but switching around the radio may have me stop on a station and I hear one that I don't care for, or being in a restaurant or retail store hearing it play on the radio. Sometimes I hate songs and those stick with me even more. Plus being a teacher these past 10 years you hear lots of songs the kids play and sing. Thanks for reading these each day if you do. At least now you'll have an idea where I'm coming from. Phil

I thought I was going to be stumped by this one. Woke up and the song was in my head. Thing is pretty much the only thing that was going through my head was the music and the lyrics "wrote me a letter". So I did a Google search with just typing that and came up with Joe Cocker. Then discovered that was wrong. The next entry was The Letter by The Box Tops. That was it! This is a song I've probably heard dozens of times if not over 100 in my life. But I never paid too much attention to the lyrics. The song is very basic, not too many lyrics and only like 2 minutes long. If you decide to listen to it, enjoy it. Decided to link it. Maybe I'll link each song to give you a chance to listen.

Mechanically separated meat = anything left after the good parts are removed.

Didn't know we were throwing 7800 games in here. I have 44, 33 of those are sealed. O' Shea was a blessing back then. Phil

Today was Against the Wind by Bob Seger. I just wanted to point out that the songs I wake up to are really in my head, and I'm not just making up songs every day for the fun of it. My wife thinks I'm nuts sharing this to the world as she says I always do crazy things. If there is a day when I don't wake up with a song, I'll post that too. Phil EDIT: 11/19/15 - Decided to add links to the songs so people can listen to what's in my head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8x9oNZ7CcI Can't seem to find an official version, so I linked a live one.

Just got up and going through my head was Philadelphia Freedom by Elton John. I was dreaming of being in school. Though I'm a teacher, many times I dream that I'm the student. Though the dream had nothing to do with the song. Phil EDIT: 11/19/15 - Decided to add links to the songs so people can listen to what's in my head.

That stuff ended over a week ago. Hopefully this seller will get shut down permanently.

I actually wouldn't mind owning a few of these. Though funds are always low. Phil

Well Rosa has no items up for sale. I wonder if Ebay intervened.
