  1. Non-Tourney Score - 753,374 This is my personal best. Previous best was 639,374 on 6/10/2014 for High Score.
  2. Very Cool! I have LYNX on my 1995 Packard Bell Windows 95 computer. I've used it to visit the old Gopher protocol sites that are proxies for Wikipedia, CNN and Reddit. I didn't think it would be possible with an ADAM.
  3. I've uploaded a video using the Lynx web browser on a 1996 Packard Bell computer with the Windows 95 operating system. Lynx is a text based web browser introduced in 1991. The version I'm using is 2.8.3 from 23 April 2000. I visit a few old http websites and also sites that use the archaic Gopher protocol. There are Gopher sites that have gateways to Wikipedia, CNN and Reddit, text only though but with nearly instant page loading on a 100 MHz Pentium 1 computer.
  4. When I was in 5th grade my school got Atari 400's and Atari 800's with 810 disk drives. I remember playing a Civil War simulation game in BASIC. In high school, we had Apple II's.
  5. Here's a video of a tweet being sent with a Colecovision ADAM computer from the Level 29 BBS/website.
  6. 20" Toshiba CRT TV - This is the TV I usually use. It has composite out making it easy to record RF or composite input from my vintage video game systems and computers. 13" Samsung color TV (manufactured Nov 1984) - I have a Coleco Adam hooked up to this TV. I use an Expansion Module #1 for playing Atari 2600 games. 12" Magnavox B&W TV (manufactured Sept 1987) Here's a video I made a couple years ago playing Donkey Kong for the Coleco Adam with the Magnavox.
  7. Which skill level? After pressing fire it asks for number of players and skill level. 4 to choose from.
  8. Here's a video I made a while ago completing Level 1 of Mountain King.
  9. Here's a video of the SD DDP drive for the Coleco Adam. It emulates the ADAM Digital Data Drive (DDP) loading tape images from SD card.
  10. I think the scores only go up. 4's look a lot like 9's in this game. Your score is actually 1,430 and roadrunner's score in post #25 is 470 not 970.
  11. I don't think anyone really used it bitd. Loading from disk is so much faster and easier. The only program released on tape was a diagnostic program by IBM. The donkey.bas game only takes 3 seconds to load from disk. 23 seconds to load from tape.
  12. Here's a video I uploaded using the cassette tape interface on an IBM 5150. I've booted up IBM PC DOS 1.00 and loaded basica (Advanced BASIC) and then load the donkey.bas game from tape. I'm using a Mattel Aquarius data recorder and a cable made for the TRS-80.
