  1. I've got it complete, but the box is in bad shape. The game is okay. It's really cool that you can rotate the disk like a steering wheel.
  2. I've played Modem Chess over an Adamlink modem. There is space on the bottom of the screen to send messages to each other. There is also a very realistic sounding speech synthesis. The computer will say "check" and "checkmate" in a female voice. No speech synthesizer needed. The computer AI is good and it's a lot of fun to play.
  3. I played this for the fist time today. It's a good variation of Missle Command with nice bonus round. My best so far on skill 1 is 80,340 round 12. My best on skill 5 is 22,315 round 4. I recognize the music during the intro. It's the same music Coleco used in the Electronic Flashcard Maker, Smart Letters and Forms, and Richard Scarry's Best Electronic Wordbook Ever.
  4. I can confirm that it is a PAL/SECAM issue. I used to play Defender on my CV when I lived in the UK and the scanner never worked. Playing it now on my NTSC CV here in Canada and the same cart has the scanner working. I suspect that it has something to do with the difference in the number of lines each TV standard displays, i.e. PAL has fewer lines than NTSC. That's a weird bug! It's doubly weird because although the number of lines in the video signal differs, it does NOT differ in the video chip (both are 256x192 resolution)! Is it the same ROM image in both PAL and NTSC? Do emulators show the problem? I would find it interesting to take a look and understand why. AtariSoft really did a strange job programming Defender. It works okay in NTSC Colecovisions. The scanner doesn't work in AdamEm or in PAL Colecovions. And in standalone Adam Computers the joystick/fire buttons don't work right.
  5. I just made a PDF of the Temple of the Snow Dragon instructions. It's a 4 Mb file so its too big to include in this post. I also made PDF's of the instructions for Super Donkey Kong, Family Feud, the disk version insert cards for Expertype & Recipe Filer, and a jpg of the card to order AdamLink 2. I can send you those too if you need them.
  6. The Colecovision version is really hard too at first. We played it in HSC about a year ago and none of us did very well until Duncantoml posted a gameplay video. Then our scores really improved. I've never played the Intellivision version. I'll need to give it a try.
  7. Awesome! Great game. It looks like he beat the game to me.
  8. Commando is a great game. I really like the music. I was only able to get to the 3rd mission once. I made it past all the huts and then past all the trucks only to get hit by a motorcycle.
  9. I got a Cuttle Cart 3 over the summer and I decided to make some gameplay videos of some rare Intellivision games. Other Intellivision videos on my channel AD&D: Treasure of Tarmin Body Slam! 10. I just tried Adam Bomb 2 for the first time. It looks like a lot of fun. The intro sequence is really cool. Nice "Close Encounters" tune on the title screen.
  11. I've uploaded 2 new ADAM videos. The Best of Electronic Arts and Temple of Apshai. They were both unreleased back in the day but have made their way into the public domain. I've got a lot of other ADAM videos on my channel if anyone wants to check them out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4I0fGkEMmI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLG7ziQMf-0
  12. Body Slam is awesome. I got it a couple of years ago at local collectibles store. The cart and instuctions for $40. It's too bad this was one of the last games for the Intellivision. If it had been around in the early '80s, my friends and I would have had tons of fun playing this. Instead, we had tons of fun playing Intellivision boxing.
  13. Maybe the cat had an accident on that page! You can also see the mock-up of Destruction Derby in the second pic and it is titled "Destructor". That's the omitted "outer space" level from Time Pilot.
