  1. I own 2 Aquarius computers and 1 mini-expander. Five cartridges and 1 tape.
  2. There's a dial on the inside of Exp Mod #1 to adjust the colors. Maybe there's a dial or something for centering the picture?
  3. On the first tape drives, when turned on the read/write sensor would emit an EMP that would ruin the part of the tape by the sensor making the entire tape useless. I think Coleco fixed that after a couple of months. I got an ADAM for Xmas 1983 and occasionally forgot tapes in the drive and never ruined any. The printer contains a magnet (solenoid) so tapes should be kept away from the printer. I don't think the CV has any EMP issues.
  4. The Atari module has sound with the Adam if you use RF output. It sounds like you're using the "Aux video" output for video & sound. I've got a homemade "Aux video" cable and I can't get sound from the Atari module either unless I use the RF output cable. The Atari module only has RF sound output.
  5. I thought it was "money, money, money" when Sam got to the top, could it be both?, I'll have to play again tonight and see. I thought he said "Money! Money! Money!" too. But then again the sample isn't that clear. He could be saying, "Honey Honey Honey" for all I know... I watched a video on Youtube and it clearly says "money." I played it again last night on my CV and Adam and it always leaves out the "e" sound. So it sounds like "mun" or "fun".
  6. I like it when you reach the top of the building and it says "Fun!, Fun!, Fun!". That voice is hilarious.
  7. Congratualtions! That's really good. We played this game in High Score Club in April. I kept getting stuck at stage 23. I was able to get past that stage one time and made it to stage 26. It's a lot of fun but stage 23 is really tough. Cabbage Patch Kids HSC Thread
  8. For fun, I tested the tape and 5.25" disk drive speeds on a Coleco ADAM using a 3 page single spaced word processing document. tape drive load- 45 seconds save- 105 seconds disk drive load- 25 seconds save- 27 seconds
  9. Consumer Reports did a a good review titled "Home Computers for Word-processing" in the February 1984 issue. Here's the prices they listed: Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer 2 (64K) $860 (with CCR-81 tape recorder & DMP100printer) Commodore 64 with 1541 disk drive $730 (and printer) Coleco ADAM $700 Atari 600XL $650 (with 1010 tape recorder & 1027printer) Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer 2 (16K) $620 (with CCR-81 tape recorder & DMP100 printer) Commodore 64 with datasette recorder $550 (and printer)
  10. Mister VCS, you missed updating my scores in Post #19 and Akito01 score in Post #18.
  11. That's what happens in the Colecovision version. 1830 is the level code to start at level 2. The level 3 code is 8817. Level 2 is faster and there are 4 map rock holes. Level 3 has 5 holes. Level 3 was so fast I was never able to finish it and see the treasure (I'm guessing) displayed. I read the manual and didn't see anything on how to enter the level code number in the Atari version.
  12. It will show the score one more time after scrolling begins, but only once. It shows the score every time the runway scrolls by, about once every 2 or 3 minutes. If the screen goes blank, just press the disc to bring the scrolling picture back. It took me 3 or 4 tries to get a good picture.
  13. I've played the Colecovision version of this game. If the Atari 2600 plays the same there should be 10 entry points to the temple each with its own set of rooms. In 1 of the rooms is the map room. I usually use a pencil and paper to keep track of the locations of rocks that I'm not able to carry so I can get them faster later. I also write down the locations of herbs so I can get to them quickly if I get bitten by a snake.
  14. 10150 I just read the manual and learned that there is a flying saucer you can use by pressing "0" on the keypad. It has limited fuel and you get 4 times the points. I played a couple more games and really improved my score.
  15. This is great. Thanks for putting this together.
