HA HA That's what my Hacker's Guide is on. It still works too.

Thank you for the info about Defender. That makes sense. As far as I can tell, nobody has ever dumped their Adam version of Defender. Are they hard to find? The cartridge is probably "unbelieveably rare." Adam's House copied the rom to tape and disk and sold it that way for awhile but they have sold out. I also took a look at the changes to my Burgertime and they appear related to how the enemies and the chef are displayed... looks like the refresh rate maybe? Not 100% sure. Wondering if this is another patch for Adam. Does the Adam have issues with displaying the enemies and the chef with the normal Colecovision Burgertime? As far as I can tell nobody's dumped an Adam patched Burgertime like this. No ADAM issues with Burgertime. Defender and Super Cobra are the only CV games that didn't work right in ADAM. A fix was released for Defender but not for Super Cobra. I've got that Cabbage Patch game on ADAM disk too. Here's a video of it somebody put on Youtube. I think it was put on cartridge and sold on ebay for a while.

I uploaded a video to Youtube of my DDP title screens for Video Hustler. The title screens are followed by a short demo followed by the title screens for a rom image of the game on the internet. Video Hustler title screens

I think you may have the ADAM compatible version of Defender. Coleco released 2 versions of the game. The 1st version works fine on a CV. When they released the ADAM, they found out that the controls for Defender didn't work right on a stand alone ADAM so they released an ADAM compatible version of the cartridge. I think the only difference between the 2 versions is the programming for the controls. I also have Video Hustler with the same title screen as yours. It's on a DDP(cassette tape) for the ADAM. I got it from an ebay aution. The ebay seller got it from an estate sale of a former Coleco employee.

I noticed the same problem playing the rom image on the AdamEm Emulator. I would guess the cart is ok and it plays that way on all PAL CV's. I know of a couple of problems with CV Defender. If the controller is plugged into the roller controller, the left fire button will fire all the smart bombs first then the lasers. (The left fire button should fire the lasers and the right fire button should fire the smart bombs.) CV Defender also doesn't work right in a stand alone ADAM. You can only move down, left, right and the press the left fire button (up and the right fire button don't work).

Colecovision HSC3/Round 17-Wing War
ed1475 replied to Mister VCS's topic in ColecoVision High Score Club
I think the manual for this game is a little misleading. The super crstals are assembled in the order of fire-air-water or water-air-fire but they don't need to be collected in that order. To start the game, I usually collect 3 fire crystals in a row, then 3 air crystals, then 3 water crystals. Together they make 3 super crystals. This is a lot easier than getting crystals in the order it says in the manual. I've been able to get the diamond to the den with as few as 2 super crystals although it's really hard to get past the rock demon without at least 3 or 4 super crystals. -

Items that don't work with Expansion Module #1
ed1475 replied to Skaarg's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
I've read somewhere that Supercharger games work but you have to open up the Exp Mod #1 and remove the cover so the Supercharger will fit. I only own about 20 Atari games and the only one that I have that doesn't work right with the Exp Mod #1 is Real Sports Boxing. The game plays but the scores for the boxers are mixed up. -

7570 To get over the pit, move under the bird and press "up" on the joystick. -
I've wondered what the monsters are called too. I've got a gameplay video on Youtube played on the Wizard Hunt level. Starting at 7:45 are monster battles. A total of 11 monsters plus the wizard. Really great monster graphics.

Actually Star Trek and Spy Hunter are designed for the SAC's as well and play much better with them than without. Rocky Super Action Boxing uses the SA controller. The 3rd and 4th fire buttons are for defense (blocking and ducking). I recently put a gameplay video of Rocky on youtube.

There can be only ONE...
ed1475 replied to OldSchoolRetroGamer's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The Coleco ADAM. The ultimate early 80's gaming computer imo (and a really cool word processor/printer). There's the ADAM "extended memory" games plus over 200 Colecovision games and with the Expansion Module #1 hundreds of Atari 2600 games that can be played on the ADAM. -
I've completed the game. I was a lot closer than I thought. All I had to do was pick up the goalem in the hidden room. Then I could leave the temple successfully. The goalem was in the room description but it wasn't listed in the contents of the room so I didn't think of picking it up earlier.
