  1. Never had much luck with Altirra but I'll try it again.
  2. I am running Atari800WinPLus 4.0 on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer with an AMD TurionX2 64-bit processor. I do not have cursor key control at all. I remember not having cursor control on a 32-bit AMD dual core processor running 32-bit Windows Vista. Any Ideas?
  3. Something is tying pin 8 of the GTIA to ground. check the following : C97 - 1nf capacitor - may be shorted U18 - 74ls08 - inputs to AND gate may be shorted internaly GTIA - may be shorted internaly.
  4. Back about 1985 My brother asked me to write a program to manage his consignment record keeping for his consignment store. The computer i used was a 800XL, two 1050's, an atari Printer and a small color tv. I wrote the program in atari basic. Some highlights: Program ran off disk 1 the day's transactions were stored on disk 1 at the end of the day the transactions were posted to account disks on drive 2 an account disk held 50 accounts so there were a lot of disk swapping. eventually we had to put a couple of accounts on their own disk. It consisted of about 4 or 5 small programs run from a main menu program. he used the program for about 3 or 4 years. Sadly i did not submit it to any magazines nor do i have the program any more. Any other business uses?
  5. Is there a windows based atari 8-bit emulator that installs completely on a thumb drive or usb hard drive With out having to install files on the host computer?
  6. I have a ASUS AM2 64-bit UBUNTU Linux system. I am running sourceforge's ATARI800 emulator. I have a Saitek P750 game pad. Linux can use the joustick but the ATATI800 emulator does not see it. Any ideas on how to get the emulator to see and use it?
  7. No problem!!! Let me know if you need any thing else!
  8. I assume you are using the emulator from sourceforge.net - atari800.exe? You need to create a batch file to include the command line options. drive:/path to emulator/atari800 -blt or drive:/path to emulator/atari800 -width 640 if the batch file is in the same folder as the emulator then you can eliminate the drive and path names and just use: atari800 -blt or -width 640 to start the emulator using a specified disk like an atr file use- drive:/path to emulator/atari800 -blt "drive:/path to file/filename.ext" or drive:/path to emulator/atari800 -width 640 "drive:/path to file/filename.ext" Again eliminating the drive and path names to the emulator if the batch file is in the same folder as the emulator. hope this helps!
  9. I have been using both atari800 and atari 800win on a vista system. What did you need help with?
  10. 1. The HC stands for High Speed CMOS. Function for function and pin for pin they are the same. 2. Yes, all DXXX lines are active low. 3. Yes, I assume the same.
  11. I was was wondering if a MAX506 would work? It is a quad DAC. http://www.jameco.com/Jameco/Products/ProdDS/814240.pdf 3-input NAND gates could be used to decode the writing to it. 2 to invert the R/~W and ~D6XX lines the output of the third would drive the ~WR line of the MAX506. 2 IC's....No resistors or capacitors!
  12. Anything ever become of these boards? It seems that the whole thing was dropped!
  13. Hasbro has nothing to do with it any more. See my previous post. They also released all the schematics to ANTIC, GTIA, and POKEY in to the public domain. I have been looking all over the 'net for those. Do you know where they can be found? I have read that they were on atarimuseum but there are no active links under the 8-bit computer on the archives page. Only links to the game consoles.
  14. In reguard to the rights, being that Atari was absorbed buy JTS in 1996 and later sold to Hasbro in 1998, maby we need to contact Hasbro too. Maybe thats where the right may be aquired. They did release all rights to the public domain for the Jaguar in 1999. http://www.heartbone.com/comphist/Atari.htm
  15. I have e-mailed him through his contact page this weekend and have yet to receive a reply.
  16. I don't know the details, but someone was supposedly working on putting "the Atari on an FPGA." He had supposedly made some progress. Perhaps someone is aware of some more details? -Larry I found this page... http://www.x-game.se/projects/fpga.htm Is this the one you were referring to?
  17. Those speeds are in the ASIC and FPGA forms only. The chip forms are at still at 14 MHZ.
  18. Are there any static memory upgrades for the 8-bit systems?
  19. I use the Sourceforge.net atari800 emulator on a windows ME pc with no directly connected printer. There is, however, a networked printer that ME can use. How do I change the "PRINT_COMMAND=" to use this tcp/ip printer that is installed on the pc?
  20. Try turbo basic or advan basic. Not sure of any others.
  21. I was wondering if there has been work done on implementing the functions of ANTIC, GTIA, POKEY and other custom ATARI 8-bit integrated circuits on programmable devices?
