  1. The thing is, it's impossible to shift gears with the paddle or driving controllers. You would have to design a new 2-button paddle/driving controller and used the left button for your brakes and the 2nd button to shift gears, and you would have to re-code the game to support the new controller.
  2. I bought one of those ATGames Genesis consoles last year. The sound emulation was just awful, especially on Sonic and Sonic 2. The music was in a lower key, and it was just grating on the ears. My RetroN3 is more audio-accurate than that. I sold it NIB a week later on eBay and doubled my investment. (Got it at Kroger for $20 and sold it on eBay for $40.) Also, the Genesis version of Virtua Racing will not work on it.
  3. I've been thinking about getting a netbook soon. I've been using Ubuntu for 3 years. Currently using Xubuntu 8.04 and Xubuntu 9.04, and getting ready to upload a customized Xubuntu 9.04 remaster to Megaupload.
  4. Okay. If they must have Jack Tramiel in the movie (and I don't see why Tramiel needs to be in this movie), Ed Asner should play him.
  5. Because Stella's being constantly worked on. Plus, it's available for Windows, Mac, and Linux (RPM, DEB, and source).
  6. Anybody know of a good 7800 emulator that runs on Linux besides xmess? I'm running Ubuntu 7.04. I don't care if I have to build an executable from source. I've built .DEB files from source in the past.
  7. Seriously, I think the 2600 version is so damn good that the 7800 doesn't really need one... You do know that Leonard Tramiel used a similar reasoning to reject a 7800 port of Midnight Magic.
  8. I just tried this on Stella 2.4.2 on Ubuntu. I must say you turned a lemon into lemonade. Outstanding! Now if you just do the same for E.T. and Defender.

When I did my vector graphic hack of the Atari 5200 version of Asteroids, I used Dan Boris' Showgfx/Editgfx program and Microsoft Notepad to change the graphics.
  10. Because they have no rights to Colecovision. Just the Coleco brand name. IIRC, Telegames still retains the rights to the Colecovision name and the Coleco-made Colecovision games.
  11. T2KFreeker played MK3 for the Jag at a CES or somethin' or other. Maybe he was playing Thea Realm Fighters instead.
