I remember a nearly all text version of Oregon Trail for the C64. The only "graphic" on the screen, ever, were two little checkered blocks, one that you had to shoot at by guessing at what degree mark (0 at top of the screen) the target was from your "person" Sadly, I don't have access to it anymore That one was a blast to play!

I'm honestly thinking about getting a couple of games soon after launch (especially SMB), because I don't want to try and play catch up like I have with the Virtual Boy, Game.com, NGPC...and every other failed game system I love collecting for

From what I've seen, if the displays at EB are any indication...they will be in long plastic clamshell cases. Nice cases, should keep the game secure as long as it is in the case...and I'd imagine they'd have a label on them...the game paks made for the Palm Pilot (which are also on MMC cards) do. They want you to lose them, so they can sell more. I think the point of this system is that they think you won't want to change the game that often...put one in, play it for a couple weeks (until completion or utter bordom...) and then swap it out for a new one. If anything, N-Gage owners will probably play more games to completion than any other system, just because of how difficult changing the cards will be

Ruined may be too strong a word, but I hate that you can only play 6 rounds (heck I could play Monkey Target all day long before, I wish there were about 20-30 different targets to aim for )...and the giant X shaped level is flat out impossible (I can land on it occasionally, but we have this game at work, and the kids get really frustrated because all they can do is fall in the water...) I don't mind the "formation flying" part, and I'm glad the Wheel Of Doom is gone...I just think it could have been better BTW, I think Best Buy is price cutting Luigi's Mansion to $19.99, of course, I can't get on their site to check for sure, but I think it was in the ad for this week.

OK, truth be told, I don't like the N64 much. I have one, and about 20 games, but I'm just not finding ones I like that much... Mario 64, blah. Not much fun Zelda, never have liked those games... Of the ones I have...here are my top 3... 1. Mario Golf - Possibly my favorite golf game ever, and that's saying something for me. 2. Diddy Kong Racing - kisrael hit most of the important points 3. Super Bowling - A late release game, graphics are average, but different lanes give the game a very nice challenge. Now, the Cube I like very much, but $$$ keeps me from getting too many games...here are my top 3... 1. Super Monkey Ball - Classic gaming perfection 2. Super Monkey Ball 2 - A few level designs, and ruining Monkey Target keep it from achieving greatness. 3. Luigi's Mansion - Tep, I really dug this game. Too short, true. But I've rarely had this much fun playing through a game twice!!

@ Liveinabin - Isn't the Gamecube basically dead in the UK anyway? I've heard stories about deep DEEP discounts on the system over there. If this is the case, then Namco's probably trying to focus on the versions of the game that will actually make them money over there. That's my guess at least.

Thanks for the info...I just got a 2nd Intellivision for the simple fact that it had the disc controllers. My first one had some kind of joystick thing stuck on top of the discs...I hated those. But the video on the 2nd one stutters badly when the screen scrolls, my older one had perfect video. Glad to know I can have my dream INTV in just a few minutes tomorrow morning

Does anyone else have the joystick attachments that you can attach to the discs? Those of you who prefer sticks to the disc may want to look for those. I have one system with each, and quite frankly, I prefer the disc...sadly I think something is wrong with that system...is it possible to swap out the controllers on the INTV I system???

As far as I can remember, I am exactly *THREE* carts away from having every cart I used to have as a kid, back in my collection... Artillery Duel (single ender, I have the game on a double-ender) Harbor Escape Atari Video Cube Heck of a three games to try and find for $5 or less

I like my Intellivision!! A few of my favorite games...I don't have many Beauty & the Beast Bowling (it is a must have Kepone, I'll keep an eye out for a boxed copy for you...) Sewer Sam (think pseudo 3D 3rd person shooter...in a Sewer!!!) And even though I hate the game...Burgertime does play great on the intv Horse Racing Skiing I need to focus on this thing more...

Circus World (loved that sore and it's casino themed carpet at the Muncie Mall) Children's Palace (man, I miss those ) Odd Lots Heck's (another one mainly located in Ohio I believe) KB Toys If I recall correctlt Block's also used to have Atari stuff (and the one on the south side of Indianapolis had the coolest parquet floor!) Target (where I got Harbor Escape, one of two games I still need to get back everything I had originally)

If memory serves, the first run of Serious Sam on the XBox had some kind of bug or problem that caused the game to crash. I also remember that the company was more than happy to replace defective copies for free, so I'm guessing the stores dropped the price to empty out the potentially bad stock (and let the customer deal with the return), rather than send it back and wait for the fixed ones to come in. Then, by the time they finally got the good discs in, people were used to seeing a $20 price tag, so that's where the game stayed. Combine that with the fact that the first Serious Sam on PC was only $10 at the time, and the Second Encounter was only $15-20, as it kind of tanked on the PC...it probably didn't make much sense to charge XBox users $50 for a game they could get on PC for $25-30 total. Please note, that's just my theory, judging from my outside perspective. Ignore me all you want.

I couldn't make it Show only 45 minutes from my house, and I still can't get to it. I stink.

I don't think it is very rare at all, and I know it isn't that great. These have sprouted up at Gamestop's recently. For about $4 or so... Complete versions though, seem to be harder to find.

Adventure, never liked it. I'm not a big fan of Pitfall II either...I like the original though

*raises hand* I played all the way through the game in one sitting. Not knowing anything about warp whistles...and no shortcuts, I played every single level. I think it took me about 8 hours total.

I really enjoy quite a few Apollo games. In particular...Lost Luggage, Infiltrate, and Guardian. I have a soft spot for Mythicon's "Fire Fly" as well
