  1. I have THPS 1 & 2 on Playstation, both completed THPS 3 & 4 on PS2 - all levels unlocked on 3, about 3 left to do on 4 I also have 2X on my Xbox, but I am having trouble using the XBox controller (d-pad isn't responsive enough for my liking) so that one is way unfinished...
  2. To be correct, I believe it should read: "Because of asshats like that."
  3. @ Jasoco, when I bought my Palm Pilot AND my newest computer at Best Buy, THEY TOLD ME that I should "accidentally" break it just before the warranty ran out and return it so I could get a new one (and since they have such rapid turnover on technological products, I'd get a better system). I've never taken them up on it, but I still have about 2 weeks left on my Handspring Visor Deluxe warranty, and I like the Palm Zire 71...
  4. If I'm way off on this, somebody slap me with a fish..., In the word search in the last puzzle Ben gave us, if you changed the background color the words "There is more" appeared, but I always assumed that the words weren't as important as the fact there was a "knee" in the word (It was bent around the corner of the page). As that was a focus for most of the players at the time, I assumed that's what he meant by it.
  5. That's my favorite part of the Namco stick...they finally put the joystick on the correct side of the button for the way I play. I wish I could find more controllers for more modern systems like this.
  6. I *used* to rock at this game back in Jr. High School. We'd have tournaments, I wouldn't lose. My greatest win was when I purposely sacrificed all my pieces except one Manticore and my wizard...I then destroyed all of my opponent's pieces without taking another hit. Now I get skunked by the easy computer in about 6 turns
  7. C64 Three Stooges, when the Defender of the Crown title screen fcomes up...I swore I had the wrong game with a Three Stooges label on it...then the Stooges walked in and Moe said "This Is The Wrong Game YOU IDIOT!! *SMACK*" Scared the shit out of me...very disappointed they didn't have that voice in the GBA remake...anyone know if it made the PSX version???
  8. Journey Escape, although I don't know if in my life, I've logged as many hours on it as Todd Rogers did in one sitting!!!
  9. Out of curiosity, what is a decent price to pay for an SX-64?? I had the opportunity a few weeks ago, I have a feeling it still may be available...
  10. Very impressive...Journey Escape is my favorite 2600 game, and I can't play it for more than an hour or two at a time. 85+ hours is freaking insane!!!
  11. Welcome to the world of the Genesis...I want to add a couple of points (and possible questions) to the discussion. As far as the 6-button controllers, I agree that they are something to look for, but I have come across a couple of games that will not play correctly if I have a 6-button controller in the system, namely Forgotten Worlds and Toejam & Earl. I do not know if there are more...anyone know?? That's actually a decent price for those games, the "buzz" tends to make them go for insane prices. I have several places around me trying to squeeze $20 for loose TJ&E carts. People tend to prefer #1 over #2, but I remember really liking #2 a lot. Good luck, and welcome to the club!
  12. Hey Pitfall Harry, is the picture of the baseball player (on page 2 I believe) representing Mountain King by any chance??
  13. How in the heck is there a flea market in the Cincy area that I haven't pillaged already??? May I be so bold as to ask where you found these??
  14. Baseball Stars, hands down, lock the topic!!!! j'k The Brave Warriors...pretty good team, lots of power, not a heck of a lot of pitching IIRC. I always created my own teams. Always variations on the Chicago Cubs
  15. Eh, I like 2600 Pac-Man, I felt it was an addictive game. Of course it wasn't the arcade game, but I never expected it to be...of course my favorite 2600 game is Journey Escape, so I know my thoughts will hold very little water in the minds of the Atari gods... Games I was underwhelmed by include Swordquest and Adventure...I always found those to be boring.
  16. Just to be different, I'll say it's Canyon Bomber...and you'll score 460
  17. I used to understand being embarrased about looking like a fool on the game in an arcade. Then I realized that 99.8765% of the people standing around the machine were worse than I was. I have no problem playing in public anymore (although I usually play beginner level, just because I like listening to the songs a lot )
  18. Sorry, MST3K got you a couple of years ago...in the episode "Prince Of Space" We had this as part of an exhibit at COSI last year...I spent HOURS playing it...very fun game. I want the bus driving sim that came out a couple years ago... Every once in a while, a uniquely Japanese game catches my attention (Road Trip PS2), but most of them I see as more gimmick than game...
  19. Well, since we've hijacked the thread (thank goodness)... let me ask MMF...do you still have those issues of Ahoy! ?? I'm looking for a couple of games that I always wanted to type in...
  20. I had a great post written, then our power went out... crap Anyway, I always felt that these type in games were the best games ever, because even though someone else did the dirty work...there was a sense of accomplishment in having the program work afterwards. Regardless of how bad the game was (and I typed in some stinkers...) I was always so proud when it worked. The fact that Dan wants to share 14 of these moments with us makes me want it even more. Moycon actually helped me rediscover my love of these last year with an envelope full of programs (which I'm still working on ) for the Commodore 64. I hope work will continue on volume 2...
  21. I play. Badly. 6'1" 340 pounds... it ain't pretty. I can pass almost anything up to 3 feet, and a few 4 footers...past that, I look like a really fat wounded duck.
  22. I'd agree that as long as you didn't change the tag yourself, than you did nothing at all wrong.
