Not if I can help it, you won't get any more at Cinci Heck, I'm surprised I got the 7 or so I got last year...for $2 each complete

Baseball Stars!! Yahoo! That's all I've got for today...digging the list so far (except for the RPGs...but you all know how I feel about those... ) I always enjoy these lists, don't know why. *Hoping for Journey Escape in the top 10 *

I'm very, very happy to see Discs Of Tron on this list!!! I still think they'll put Splinter Cell up at #1 though...

Gran Turismo 3...Agree or Disagree
Scooterb23 replied to The MilkMan's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I'll agree. I mean, before Gran Turismo 3 came about, I couldn't make my power slides around hairpin corners nearly as smoothly as I can now Seriously though, I play games like GT3 in such a (w)reckless manner, that I wouldn't want to drive like that in real life Brakes? What Brakes???) -
I got dibs on Splinter Cell as #1... I fhtey had any balls at all though: they'd pick Uniracers from the SNES as their #1

Any basic/simple games for the Xbox?
Scooterb23 replied to RangerG's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Fusion Frenzy for a simple to play party game. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee isn't too tough to start, since the game holds you hand for the first bit (I haven't gotten too far, so I don't know how long this lasts). Outlaw Golf is a fun, and easy to play game as well. -
Just for the record, my sister likes "Hop 'n Bop" games (Mario, Crash etc.) and puzzle games. She can whoop anyone at Tetris and Dr. Mario...she's at least 5 times better (score wise) at Dr. Mario than I am...twice as good at Tetris...and I think I'm a pretty good Tetris player

I have one of those rivets (does it also have a triangular "handle" for lack of a better term on it) on one of my Early Reading carts as well... I almost wonder if there was maybe a supplementary workbook that could be attached to the cart or something like that.

Sorry, that wasn't me doing that presentation. I'm amazed you saw that show, in the past year, I think they've done it three times. I wish they would do it more often, or at least let the kids play the games.

Is playing PSone games on PS2 a "true" experience?
Scooterb23 replied to theaveng's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Just checking, the way you wrote that made it look like you only tried it on two games...My success rate has been much better, but I still don't think it's worth the effort to turn on every time I want to play a PS1 game... -
Don't worry, Chicago isn't on my thrift store circuit...yet Columbus has quite a few collectors, it must or I'd own everything by now... I don't know too many of them, however.

Is playing PSone games on PS2 a "true" experience?
Scooterb23 replied to theaveng's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Fast load doesn't work on 50% of the games because you tried it on two games, and it didn't work on one??? That's a gigantic leap of faith...just for the record I tried it on about 15 of my old PSX games, and it worked fine on 13 of them (On my 2 THPS games, the music sometimes would skip). But it didn't make enough of a difference for me to want to go into options and change it every time. Graphics Smoothing wasn't a big deal for me, yeah some games looked a little better. But try it on Hot Shots Golf, and you get ugly black lines all over the place... I don't use either option, not enough of a payoff IMO. -
Here's a couple places where I thought he was talking about some kind of connection cable...looks like it was Eckhard who made that actual statement... First one Ken talks about cart d/l... http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...4384&highlight= This is where I remembered my cable quote from...it was Eckhard...although Ken's response was deliciously vague http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...2066&highlight= I think I mixed it up with the original "online aspect" that was supposed to be in the PS2 version... Again, glue sniffing, blame it on that
-
Eh, I thought I remembered something where you could hook up games, might have been controllers...I don't remember... Must be all this glue I'm sniffing...
-
I'm hoping that the cable Ken talked about w/ the original release (something about being able to attach your own Atari carts to the system, and play them through the game right??) will make an appearance... I still need to find the PS2 version...

@ landsmarra...believe it or not, yes, those people are overpaying on the Goodwill auctions just to try and get more for them on eBay. I've seen the same person get several lots of Atari consoles...and then I've seen the same lot on eBay a few days later!!! You'd think they'd stop since they never make as much as they spent...but sure enough, they keep trying. I have noticed in the last couple of months, that prices are coming down just a bit over there. Not much.

Thrift mystery: why all the keyboards?
Scooterb23 replied to jhd's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I got both my Commodore 64s that way...buried in the PC keyboards for $1.91 -
@ Slapdash - I suppose it's ultra rare and will only play on my NES if it is upside down right?? Australian---upside down, oh never mind... I'd love to find that...

A lot less padding, a lot more anarchy. Think of it as equal parts soccer, football, and mosh pit. I can't really describe the game, it's just too nuts. BTW, the Rugby game for Genesis is pretty good, graphics were smallish, but got the job done. When scrums happened, it was hard to tell what was going on... Fun game, although I very rarely scored, no matter how hard I tried. *waits for Rugby crowd to laugh at lame joke* *crickets*
-
Dear Lord I suck at this...just made one that has a giant letter I completely blocking the middle of the course...forgot about that mirroring bit... This is so much fun
-
I'm starting to get into this...lots of fun. Except for the fact that the holes I'm making aren't quite what I was expecting to see (it's my own incompetent fault...) Great work!!
-
There have been two Rugby games that I know of: Rugby World Cup 95 for Genesis Rugby for PS2 the Genny one is good, haven't gotten the PS2 version yet. All I want is an Australian Rules Football game!!!!

Back and forth a couple times, and then counterclockwise circles until the score pops up...
