  1. Actually, I live closer to central Ohio, so I'll take that, and Matt, in Cincy can take the southern part...of course, I found both of my Xenophobe's within 30 minutes of Cincinnati, so I think I may be infringing on Matt's turf as it is...
  2. Let's clear the state of all XENOPHOBES!!! Horde them all for ourselves in one of the Olentangy Caverns in Columbus!! Then in 10 years we can sell ours to unsuspecting collectors for $100!!!! hahahahaha sorry, just got done downing some Sudafed with green Nyquil...
  3. It seems like I'm starting a Xenophobe collection, just picked one up for the NES for $2 yesterday... Sounds like I did pretty good, about time I got a break...
  4. Sorry it took so long for me to reply, just got a new computer...no lightgun with Barnyard Blaster, and I don't have friends (I live in the middle of an old cornfield...closet person I know is 15 miles away). Thanks for the responses!!!
  5. I got 2 2600 games Zaxxon SSSnake and 4 7800 games Ballblazer (red end label) Barnyard Blaster Fight Night Xenophobe Paid a total of $3 for the lot. I'm just curious, I've never played any of hese before, I've heard that some of them are pretty bad, but how bad are they??? Are there any worth playing? Thanks
  6. Ah yes, I remember the talk..."And son, the inside of a woman feels just like the inside of a bologna sandwich with lettuce..." Anerican Bologna
  7. Atari Age great Message board first stop daily Bologna Sandwich
  8. Speaking of Atari commercials...somebody at Cinciclassic had a small tv and a videotape of some old Atari commercials, great fun! I especially loved the RealSports commercials. Billy Martin talking about howmuch he loved the realistic action and strategy of RealSports Baseball, and then a screenshot comes up. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
  9. 4 Atari systems...4 games in 'em... Activision Decathlon Tac-Scan Spider Fighter and of course...JOURNEY ESCAPE!!!
  10. This makes it a lot easier for people like me. A lot more boxes can fit in the trashcan now!!
  11. I knew you'd come through Moycon, you rule!!
  12. I agree with the majority, if there was a problem with the label, it should have been brought up before the contest finished. I am 100% sure it was not. People only started whining after it was chosen as the winner. Perhaps Moycon could find a picture of some sour grapes to go next to his bologna sandwich (I'm setting you up man...don't let me down!!!) Congrats to everyone involved with this (and the other recent label competitions), it has made me go out and start getting tools together so I could try and compete next time!!

Stan Stan Stan!!! How in the world can you dis the mighty Fire Fighter??? It is a great game!! Trying to put out the fires, and then having to raise the ladder to just the right floor to save the victim. And the timer just adds to gthe tension, because you are always trying to beat your best time. It is a lot like Dragster IMO. This game is still one of my top 10 favorite games. It never gets old.
  14. Let me just say that the Windows game is very true to the original board. The only thing is that they do not provide questions, you play the board, and that's it. But any multiple choice questions from your favorite board gam would work (I use Trivial Pursuit cards and just make up fake answers beforehand). Great fun, and I look forward to any homebrew attempts at this classic...now if only Sierra wouldn't have cancelled their Match Game PC project
  15. I don't really have a lot to add to this discussion, I don't have the game yet, I want it, but quite frankly I don't care if it's toned down as long as the GAME is still good... The reason I'm writing this is to bring up a (probably insignificant) point. Everyone says how the "liberals" are trying to censor the game...but doesn't the word liberal mean they should be allowing the game makers to do what they want? Whereas "conservative" should be the ones with the panties in a bunch because the game is too violent?? I for one feel like I am a liberal, but I do not condone censorship. Liquid Sky (just as a reference point, not an attack )at one point called Joseph Lieberman a liberal...he is not a liberal in my eyes, he's a Conservative Democrat. It is possible to be both conservative and a Democrat, as I'm sure there are liberal Republicans. It would really bother me to find out that I am now considered a "conservative" because I like violence, Nine Inch Nails, and naked women... It's not liberals "messing up the entertainment industry (for lack of a better term)" it is the large amount of money pumped into the poliical machine by all of the "Morality" based lobbys. (I am not against religion, just against groups who try to force their morality on the rest of us by greasing the hand of a poplitician). I'm sure any politician would gladly try to ban GTA3 if it guaranteed them $5 million for their re-election... I'll get off my soapbox now, forgive the rambling please.
  16. Bag of Taco flavored Doritos, 1 liter bottle of Mountain Dew (in lieu of no Jolt Cola here in southern Ohio), usually a Little Debbie Swiss Cake Roll, and occasionally a Peanut Butter Sandwich (when I'm really hungry)
  17. You could always pay off one of Pete's gambling debts. At which point he will graciously allow you to win his game more often. Can't give you much more help, haven't played it much after I finally found it at Cinciclassic. I keep playing 11-9 slugfesgts though.
  18. When I got my patch way back when, I sent in my 11-0 score against the computer. I have hit 12, but I gave up 2 in the process that game.
  19. My top 10 2600 games I never want to see... 10. Virtual Ant Farm 9. Terror in the Old Folks Home 8. Playaround's Beer Goggles 7. American Pie 6. Lost at the State Fair 5. VH1's Bee Gee's Music Generator 4. Grand Theft Auto III 3. Virtual Fish Tank 2. Chiller and the #1 game I don't want to see on a 2600... 1. Jar Jar Binks' Adventure
  20. I have to put my vote in for Tac-Scan. I just thought that by simplifying the game, and making it a lot easier to see things, improved that great game. A couple of others I liked better on Atari 2600 were Warlords, Circus Atari, and of course Journey Escape was way better than the Journey arcade game (ok not the same game, I just had to get a Journey reference in here somewhere.)
  21. On an official Megamania cart, I can't get past the the third screen, first time around. Now on the Snider-man's graphic hack MST2600, at Cinci-Classic, I made it all the way around to the second round-second screen before my firing thumb cramped on me. I had never been that far before, and I haven't found Megamania to try it at home yet.
  22. My goals for 2002 Get to 250 different Atari 2600 carts (and then trade the junk for what I want). I'd love to actually learn to program anything. Actually acquire a 'rarity 10' cart (after having 2 slip through my hands...) Learn to play guitar (not an Atari goal, but mine has been collecting dust since May, got it for Christmas last year) Go to at least 2 shows this year (Cinciclassic and one other, maybe Philly? Any closer to Ohio than that??)
  23. along the lines of a Wings game, I wonder if a conversion of a game like Looping is possible? Others I want to see include Bubbles, Circus Charlie, the arcade version of the Journey game ,Qix, and of course, Mappy (please correct me if any of these do exist...)
  24. Hmmm...Jun doesn't want an x-box under the tree...SEND THE PACKAGE BACK JUN!!!! Everyone, have a great holiday season, it's been a lot of fun reading all the posts, and throwing in my (often incorrect) 2 cents every once in a while. Don't drink and drive (you might spill some )
