I just wish the Capcom Classics game was on that list. They'd probably rather sell each game for $5 a piece on XBL though.

I've already got the 8 bit domain mod stuff.

Taking off the RF shield scares me and I haven't looked into doing the power mod myself yet. Where would one get a replacement motherboard if I screw mine up? Anyone offering this service in the DFW area? Anyone in the US? If a replacement motherboard is cheap enough it might be worth the risk to trying doing it all myself although I've never soldered anything in my life.

This is definitely fun on a real Atari. It's just too bad they never finished the game.

The Atari 2600 went for $199 new in 1977. That's the equivalent of $650 today.

I'd have to say right now that PMC is better than the arcade. On Xbox Live I had the chance to purchase Pacman and Ms Pacman but it seems like a waste of time since I have PMC which offers a lot more game variations than a regular Pacman and Ms Pacman would.

I had to kind of harrass Mike to get mine.

I think the main reason games are getting easier to beat is all the new graphics they're required to put in each new iteration. Why should Halo 3 have the same graphics of the Xbox versions? It's on a newer system with a much better processor. Everyone already knows it has a good story behind it so one of the important things to upgrade is the graphics. More complex graphics cost more money to produce. When 2600 games were made they were written by one person. Now they have entire teams working on one game due to the complexity of them. Naturally this costs more money so they have to have some sort of compromise when building games. Game length suffers due to this.

I've got a Cuttle Cart 2 and all the games ever made for both the 2600 and 7800 on it. I've also got a 5200 with a 128 in 1 flash cart. There absolutely TONS of bad games back then. In fact with a CC2 it's pretty easy play only bad games forever. If you're searching through games you've never played in search for something good you could be searching the CC2 menu for a very long time. I'd have to say that Rob pretty much nailed it.

You could always buy PacMan Collection to make sure. lol

If you're doing this stuff just to get a pat on the back you should probably change your priorities, especially for a rom I've basically already got because I'll go ahead and assume this doesn't play any different.

I saw my first Wii for sale in the wild last night. I was at Walmart at about 11:30 pm and there were two Wii's available for sale. About 10 minutes later I walked back by and one of them was being purchased. lol

They also sold movies at ripoff prices at least at the local one they did. Typical crappy mall store.

Oh and the 3 year warranty is only against the RROD. If something else breaks on your console you're SOL.

I can't think of any game that I ever thought was like the arcade until I got Xevious for the 7800 but this is the 2600 forum.

I called Best Electronics Friday afternoon at 3 pm their time and ordered a couple of rebuilt gold dot 5200 controllers. I got them in the mail TODAY.....Monday!!!!!!! Oh and I live in Dallas Tx so it's not like I live in the next town over.
