I don't think people disagree with them needing some improvements. It was the way he went about it. Bill was way nicer than most of us would have been, and I wouldn't describe the rants as keeping AtGames on their toes. Honestly, well reasoned criticisms would go further than cussing etc.I have only bought the first Sega handheld from AtGames. I liked it for what it was. Could it be better? Sure but it was cheap and fun. I almost picked up an HD Atari and the Atari portable this year because they have come so far. I would be willing to bet that next season I do end up picking one up. With my new interest in the INTV and not owning a CV, I would be interested in a FB for those. I have a feeling it just isn't going to happen soon. They just weren't as popular as the Atari.

Atari isn't producing it, D.E is. So I'm not sure that's a great example of them creating something since dynamite entertainment bears the weight of everything. I think its neat but it really is playing on guys in this forum and myself. I know my LCS maybe sold one copy of it and I'm not sure that person went to the end of it. That series is finished with issue #5. You mention them not being a videogame company but that and swordquest were trying to play off of it. I tried the swordquest comic and it was alright but it didn't set the world on fire. It was kind of basic and I think I only got the first two issues. If I see the rest of it or Centipede in the discount bins I will pick them up. One of the 90's comic problem was over production and the relentless onslaught on #1s. Reason marvel is doing better is because them and the other companies learned to limit their production and there is preorders. Plus Marvel and DC still could lean on the likes of Capt. America, Batman, etc. If we are comparing then Atari needs to create something new with their properties. They need to put their strongest guns/people on the most popular IPs and build up that way. The thing that sucks is all they are doing is rehashing the old stuff or letting others make something for them. I would like to see some other things they are doing besides a comic. I already knew about those two series.

So here are recommendations and why. Dungeon: a turn based Dungeon Crawl RPG game. (Dont own it yet but Anguna was fun when testing it out.) Ko Cruiser: If you like Punchout you will like this. If you like platformers: Stay Frosty 2, and Panky (dont own it yet but played early WIP) Stella Stockings for good variety plus it has the first Stay Frosty. Thrust+ is good for a challenge yourself type arcade experience. Qb is good if you are looking for a puzzle game. And if you want an arcade experience Ladybug is a great option.

Hey I would genuinely like to see Atari come out with something. I was excited when the news broke. So far I have been shown nothing. Dubs problem is say they are doing great things and so far it doesn't look that way. :-/

I did space invaders with my niece. If its too hard you control joystick while kid shoots.

Was there a system that put them in differently before Atari 2600? That means the other systems messed up.

Oh I get that. That is why it makes the Ataribox situation look worse. The excuse was how many things Atari was doing. I wish they would just release some type of news. I would hope that if they were going to open pre orders on the 1rth that they could have said this is what the box is. With canceling that it seems they have nothing or don't know what it is themselves. Its been a month since the postponement. Why no updates?

Buy some homebrews and review those in the store. I'm on Nintendoage and have never thought about putting my collection in there. Honestly, who cares about mine. Yeah for like the SNES i have some of the aewsome RPGs. I just dont see the point for it for the most part. As far as reviews go, how many times do I need to read that Mario and Zelda are awesome? Its reviews for less popular games that matter to me because I either have the good ones or they are too pricey.

So, you are saying they can't manage what they are doing now. How in the heck do you then expect them to manage a system that will possibly be buggy out of the box and stay on top of patching that, or even developing for it? Just releasing the system isn't enough. They have to support it. And things like the comic books shouldn't hold it up because the writers and artists aren't making the system just like producers aren't making video games. The hat (love it or hate it) is already made. The pong table requires I am assuming more mechanical engineering that doesn't have any crossover with the Ataribox. The two videogame devices are MIA or delayed due to a cord issue right? That's a hardware problem and doesn't even touch if it will have any software issues either. And if a Replicade keychain takes precedence over a full fledged gaming system then doesn't that throw up a red flag that the Ataribox is going to have no support...assuming it comes out?

I was in the camp wait and see...but how long to wait? I want to see Atari come out with something good. I had friends who were excited when the Ataribox news first hit. I bet now they don't even remember it. I'm not a huge fan of the taco posts, but that is because there is no news. I have nothing to get excited over because I have no clue what it does or how much power. Just release something saying this is what we are doing. Then do it. Or say after further research we decided this endeavor was not economical and move on. Right now I'm going to cruise the Atariage store, which I would encourage all the new users to do. There is at least awesome Atari games created and released here that I know exist and got to see/read about their development.

Thankfully A D&D has been the most difficult keypad game I've played. It is definitely a learning curve.
