Still didnt really have much luck with it. Pitfall was jenky too. It came on but after a bit I freaked out thinking my disc was broken because harry wouldnt go left. Put in lock n chase and didnt have that problem. Might do more alcohol and erasers to them. How is the system in regards to being cracked open? Thinking i might just need to clean inside.

Gonna try some Nightstalker and see how Pitfall compares to the 2600. I did a good cleaning on Triple Play. No luck. Lol.

So unfortunately my Triple Play cart seems dead. Burgertime was fun though. Looks so much better than the 2600 version.

I think its a sticker. I got this from a druggie so I had to do some cleaning. I will have to say I hate the controller but also liked rolling it around. I'm an RPG fan so I started with AD&D and beat it! (Easy as I died on Hero) But count me impressed! I want to track down the other D&D now. Thankfully i have a decent chunk of the booklets and inserts. I have a booklet for tron maze a thon but no game.

So this is what i have game. The one without a label is masters of the universe. The one just says advance d&d is there a way to tell which one it is? Also me and the wife are going to drink and retrogame later. Any you would suggest from what i have?

So why waste the energy and throw a tantrum? Go waste that energy on something productive. I have only purchased one thing from AtGames and liked it for what it was. I didn't delude myself into thinking it was going to be amazing. If you have all the systems why be hateful? Also you didn't reply on compatibility issues on these new systems that are so much more awesome than AtGames. Bill is an awesome guy and has been more than honest with this forum about these products. Whether its about what's improvements or not. They at least are open to criticisms and seem to be more open than any other company is. And they also seem to be the only company that might consider even doing an INTV or CV. Maybe you should take your time to develop that CV with Cardillo and call it the CultureClubColeco. Bet that would sell well. And I love the its not me its them high school reaction. If you hate it so much stop acting like you have an anger issue and be an adult consumer and not buy their products. Pretty simple solution.

So I have an INTV (version 1 i believe) because I got it cheap. What are must haves that I might not know about that arent on an Atari? I have Night Stalker. I dislike the controls is there an alternative? Games I have don't necessarily have manuals or the overlays. Speaking of...how do I get the overlays on the controller? Hows the homebrew scene? Are they expensive? Is there a flashcart? That should get me started.

Honestly I'm a kid that grew up on Atari 2600 and NES. Someone made a great comment about moving forward and not dredging up the past. Look at the pack in SMB. It was awesome, had arcade like difficulty but it was new and awesome. I don't fire up my NES to play arcade games. I do it to play platformers and other stuff that was new at the time. I do want a CV though. I've never seen one out in the wild and they seem to be rather expensive.

But what about compatability? Can they play games like Virtua Racing, Castlevania III, or Star Fox? If so how many years of "sub par" clones didn't have those and kept pumping them out? Heck can any of them play those games without issues? And if you have such a hard on for the Genesis go buy one of those new ones. Why you are doing all this ranting if AtGames version is so terrible and you could just buy one that's awesome from somewhere else? They aren't a big company like Nintendo and aren't stealing Stella code like the Retron 77 probably is going to.

I think you are wrong in the sense you expect these to be comparable to a regular system. They would not sell well over a certain price point. I'm at a house playing video games with people and asked them what a ColecoVision was. None of them knew what it was. An expensive CV flashback would fail regardless of good or bad quality. The Genesis would have a shot but if the price goes up much more than it is now I doubt it would have flown off the shelf as fast. That still has problems and wouldn't let you play Pitfall 2 or any of these newer homebrews that are pushing the limits. I have two just in case my Jr wore out but since then I acquired two more 2600 systems making that a mute point.

Until I got older I didnt know what a ColecoVision or Intellivision was. I havent ever seen a Coleco in person at a local gaming store, thrift store, or pawn shop. First Intellivision i saw was when i was working at a comic shop and a druggie came in wanting to sell it and 15 games. I only offered $10 for it didn't like my offer but later came back when none of the pawn shops etc would buy it from him. My guess is that they are ignored for just not being as popular. Other than nightstalker and maybe the dungeons and dragons games are there any ITV or CV games that are exclusives that are awesome?

Maybe you should talk with Cardillo and ask them about building a retro console for you. Might put your butthurt towards AtGames in perspective. If you love the Genesis so much hunt down an actual system or a CV and buy the carts you want? I personally don't think there's much of a market for an expensive ($80 or higher) CV flashback. No one would buy it beyond hardcore retrogamers. General public doesnt know nor care about Coleco. Most have heard of Atari though.

I think you hit on why people are negative about it. I was in the wait and see camp, and I was tired of all the taco talk. But there is no information, no funding, old Atari games are no longer exclusives, and there is no prototype or they would have given it a snippet of it. I wouldn't mind a steam machine. But if its only going to stream games from my PC to the tv that isn't a selling point for me because i need a new computer to run my steam games. At which point if I buy a new computer I will just find a long hdmi cable to hook that up to the TV and forget the Ataribox. I kind of tired of the thread because there is no news and unfortunately won't be especially with how they were like, "Hey preorder on this day... oh wait nope sorry." They shouldn't have even mentioned that date.
