Is there any key to shooting the catapult? At times it seemed I was holding it the same time but with different results?

I've been playing it for a while and I haven't seen it yet. Is it triggered by something in normal game play?
Yes.
Is there a way to untrigger it?

R-Pi isn't even a console, but that's arguing semantics. Some people might be genuinely afraid of electricity and plugging things into the wall and having to handle bare circuit boards. Could be terrifying. Others are simply lazy. And yet another crowd simply does not think in the logical & common sense manner for putting together an R-Pi console.
Hope I'm being logical with mine.

Everyone knows about the raspberry pi. We get it, you think it's the best solution. But... Many choose not to use it or don't have the know how to put a system together with one. It involves a bit of knowledge and most daunting of all: effort.
A vast number of consumers want to buy a product, plug it in, and play games. This is the mainstream and it is where most consumers, and their money, resides.
If Ataribox can find the sweet spot of attractive footprint, price, ease of use, features, and game titles, it can find its niche. It has the first nailed, just need the other 4.
Yeah I get that. I had a coworker talk to me about how to find a nes classic because I was the resident nerd at work. Told her there werent any unless she wanted to pay out the ass.
Told her about the raspberry and helped her order one and set it up for her. It's definitely not hard but she definitely didn't want to put in that effort.
I really hope Ataribox turns into something I want and is reasonable. I would like to see atari make steps to become more prominent in videogames. Just like I'm waiting for Nintendo to make their comeback

Distributing a version with crappy sound for a decade, then redesigning it to make it better, but sending defective units out for review, ruining their reputation all over again?
Think This is in reference to the cartridge port.

Surprised people still don't know about the raspberry pi. It is so awesome and cheap.

I just played on my AtGames 2014 Sega Genesis Classic Console and it wasn't nearly as bad as the haters make it sound. It's small and neat and it was super cheap.
I have one of the Sega handhelds I got years ago. I like it and for the price I don't see why people dislike it.
I'm not sure the emulation on the retro 77 is a big deal in the grand scheme of things. It is to this community which wants to play homebrew and such, but average gamer won't know about atariage. If the first run does well maybe they can continue to work on better emulation.

Walmart where I'm at has a colored Pac man one that is in the same style as the fist black and green one.

Actually the best part about this is that you have to *HOPE* that the shells they are going to use for their minis are of decent quality and cheap enough when the go on clearance (you can pretty much pick up a CV Flashback for next to nothing now) so that you can gut them and put a Raspberry Pi filled with GOOD games in them!
I'm also not holding my breath that they will end up being good quality shells. But if they are, it will be great to see stuff like this made out of them...

Those things are like $400 from what I saw.

Same here, I've had my 7800 on for 4 days straight so I don't lose my place, I've made it to level 4-3. I'm worried i'm going to damage it leaving it on so long but I don't want to loose all the progress I've made. It's hard enough to finish a level, I don't have time to look for hidden warps.

Give that poor thing a rest! I know after playing for an hour and beating it my Bbcq cart was quite warm. ;P
-
Found the warp to 6-1 today, which made me very happy. And the warp in 3 to get to 4-1 was in a place I never would have found except for a bizarre coincidence. Is there a warp in 2? I have been seriously scrutizing those levels and nothing calls attention as a possible location for one.
Keep scrutinizing in level two. Level two and three were maybe the hardest or less obvious ones to find if I remember right.

Catching up on Ataribox stuff and instead I'm catching up on Apple stuff.

To me it seems most of the atari games require reading the manual especially if they are not an arcade port. So I'm not sure why reading the manual is bad advice. Maybe I should play the game later today.

Let's bash NES games, more fun. Start with LJN
Don't you dare say Friday the 13th is a bad game! It's a family favorite in this household. Lol.

Maybe it's coca cola places and the last game they are waiting on is coke wins?

I posted the official final game lists for all of the 2017 AtGames products on Armchair Arcade: http://armchairarcade.com/perspectives/
The only one missing is the Atari Flashback 8 Gold Activision Edition Console because we're still waiting on confirmation on one of the titles.
Gold Activision still including paddles?

Or heck, include it in a multi-cart of sorts. Quality older games like this could be included in a compilation cart today.

I think that would be cool to have a homebrew classics multicart! Sign me up for one!

I don't own it and haven't played it, but I'm not sure just because it isn't 'fancy that it should be pulled. Yes some of the new fancy attract modes are nice but after that it's all about gameplay. Maybe you could do something like a Platinum Edition and fix/add things you don't like or think it's missing?

For less than $100 shipped you can buy a Harmony cart, then you can play all the games you want.
Can the harmony run games that need the special boards like melody?

I think kickstarter makes sense. They aren't competing with the big three and this is not that type of system. This will be a better way to gauge demand so they don't make too many of them.
Not sure why there is so much hate for something you don't know what it is. I get that it's not enough information to know if it's worth backing.
I will back or not back once I find out the details. Right now the mock ups are intriguing. I understand the comparison to chameleon but at least Atari, while not the powerhouse it once was, has at least been in videogames. Coleco hasn't done anything.
I've had great results with kickstarter and in fact a guy I know just successfully got his online comic book funded to be printed in a hardcover.
I just know I've had friends Interested in this who don't care anything about the 2600 or 7800. So this i think has the potential to have broader appeal than a 2600 in a box would.

I get being cautious, but there has got to be a little excitement and optimism left. Those are two of the things that keep my interest and wallet in this hobby.
While I'm not clearing a spot for this system on my shelf yet, it seems a lot of people on this site are pissing on this fire before it truly sparks.
I understand there are a lot of things that need to go into a good system, and we haven't seen any of it yet. But at least these guys realize the woodgrain, the black Vader, and the ribbed top are iconic, and they are going in that direction. We have a couple of modeled pics, that's it. But at least they are great modeled pics.
-
If it randomized the bad guys it would be impossible as it requires the bad guys to be of certain attack types to remain playable.
I'm not sure if it would be called random but there are times that some baddies are switched out with different ones. Might only notice it when youved died a few times in same spot. I also think it was in later levels when the knight is about. Like instead of a night you might see a zombie.

I think it looks better but that doesn't mean the games will play better.
