I gave them $3.50 as you can get the additional games for $2.50. $3.50 on Steam vs $300 on a unconsole that seems to be in limbo. Support the things they do right and maybe they won't go on anymore unconsole adventures.

I really wish it would ship. There would have never been any dumb taco talk if Atari had just either A) had a console together before launch or B) been more upfront with their updates and posts. I kind of wanted one of these until it became quite the crap show. What are we four months past the second delayed release date? Covid shouldn't have even been an issue for release but it kept getting pushed back to it being where we are right now. I really do hope it isn't a piece of junk as I know there are some good fans. I would be angry and disgruntled if I shoveled out that much for this show.

Yes she is a mom. So I'm happy to say I don't have have to pay extra for a basic linux PC to have her watch Netflix. And I'm happy to say the kid is mine. Poor thing has to face growing up and possibly looking a lot like me. It's a shame and will probably require him eating many tacos to console himself. Maybe when this is all done they can just sell the cases? That I would maybe buy to make some type of modded rig for the TV. That is the one thing I do think they nailed.

See my wife knows how to use Netflix on multiple devices and wasn't interested in the VCS. So I guess I'm lucky she/myself isn't in the TacoShoebox Hunger Wars.

If that was the case I wouldn't have mentioned my experiences. She didn't mention us getting a Switch until the price rise. When it was $180 to $200 she thought the games looked okay for Amico, but didn't think the games looked worth it at the $250 price point. Just being 'cheaper' isn't enough to sell the console/games. Like someone mentioned it is going to take more to push the value of it. But yeah she was for getting an Amico around the $180-$200.

Yeah it made a difference. And no, the $60 game didn't make a difference (she already knows two games she would love and easily get her money's worth in those.). Nor extra controllers mattered as no one needs 8 pairs of extra controllers. So yeah price of the console is the issue. You might not want to believe it but that's what it is.

See I disagree. Once it hit the $250 in my household it changed. $200 vs $250 made a big difference. Switch games may be higher but there are certain games that you know are high quality polish, you will enjoy them for sure, and can get your money worth of that $50 to $60. One of the benefits of being a company that has pumped out games consistently over the years is that trust in first party games being good. Wife hasn't seen anything to dictate the price at $250 when she knows she can find some simple games on the Switch she would like. When it was $150-$200 she was more positive on it. So yeah it can make a difference.

You can see wind will at least be a factor in the footage. This is unfortunately the spot we are in at my household with the price.

I feel bad for them at this point. It is such a mess.

Dumb question. This looks like fun and I want to participate I believe. If I play an Atari 2600 homebrew that goes under classic correct even though it came out after 2000?
